Apocalypse? Is this the apocalypse?

These kind of questions were asked when a few were bitten by animals, and soon had powers, abilities that normal humans didn't have, mutations. Everybody, everywhere went in prepare mode when this happened.

The peculiar thing is,

This biting thing only happened to people between the ages of five to ten. Doctors puzzled over this. Why is was only happening to kids, and no one else.

Now it's ten years later, 2022. Now those kids who have been bitten are grown. Either going to high school, or looking for jobs. Everyone, at first didn't accept them, but now they do. Those who have the tails, the powers. There no different then anyone else now.

Name: Kai Rizzo
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Personality: Sweet kid, always willing to help someone else. He's a people pleaser- wanting to do anything and everything to get on someone's good side. He is sometimes depicted as weak by others because he is so nice and easily swayed by the crowds of different people.
Appearance: Thin and lean. He doesn't have much muscle bulk to him and is very short too. He has hazel eyes and light brown hair that comes just above his eyes.
History: When he was 5, he was bitten by a cat laying on the side of the sidewalk. He was young and wanted to go pet it and ended up getting scratched and bitten up. He wasn't seriously injured, but he soon got the weird powers of the supernatural early on. (*is not gunna write whole life story*)
Mutation OR Power: The power to manipulate metals into anything he desires. (E.G - Turning a piece of iron into a knife, etc) Note: He can't levitate metal/use his mind to change it, it's all based on touch. Therefore, if he's not touching it he can't change it.
Other: None; I don't think anyways. 😸

Gender: Female
Personality: Jessica hates it when people think she is weak because of her gender. She's outgoing, and loves to show anyone up. Challenge is her middle name, and she'll take it no matter what. Sometimes she doesn't think things through, which leads her to trouble. Jessica is also a bit mean, though isn't around great friends.
Appearance: Jessica has silky blond hair usually cascading down her shoulders stopping at her chest, waves seeming to make it a bit more silky. She wears jeans, light blue tee, black hoodie, a gold choker necklace with two hearts connected, a pair of chestnut colored uggs completed the causal look.. Her eyes are deep ocean blue, lips are a red color naturally. Tanned skin complete her overall rough, but beautiful appearance.
History: She doesn't really talk it about. Only close friends know.
Mutation OR Power: Hypnosis. Able to control anyone for a long period of time, though becomes weak after two hours, becomes sick and sleeps for long periods of time.

Gender: Male
Personality: Reserved and polite, but cannot be labeled as kind or warm. Few can decode his poker face and even fewer have stolen his heart. The boy is well-mannered, but lacks any personality traits except his unbearably calm demeanor.
Appearance: Average height, well built body, consisting of a slightly muscled chest and stomach, strong but muscle-less arms and broad shoulders. Light brown eyes, in stark contrast to the cold look held in them. Dark brown hair, swept back. Usually tidy clothes.
History: Reserved about that as well. Prefers to keep quiet about anything of his previous life. It's possibly the reason why he is detached from everyone else. Thanks to a past affair (moreover, the ending of it) he strays from anyone he feels an attraction to.
Mutation OR Power: Ice. Can manipulate it, create it, freeze anything and everything permanently. The bad outcome is his long stage of tiredness he often experiences after abusing his powers.

Personality: She's a dangerous girl. One who will play mind games on you, if she doesn't like you. If she does, well, you get to see the other side. She's quite fun, funny, creative, crazy, flirty, and just plain HERSELF! But she's also way protective, caring, and loving to those that she's friends with.
Appearance: About 5' 7" in height with a lean body. Her hair is a raven black and falls down to her waist in waves. Her large, doe eyes are an icey blue color that just scream for attention. Her wardrobe consists of skinny jeans, tank tops, and high heels, with the occasional leather jacket thrown in.
History: Not open to questions about her past life. If you ask now, you will get an icey stare and a smirk.
Mutation OR Power: She has wings. Large wings. They have a 15 foot wingspan and are black speckled with deep red.

Gender: Male

Personality: Kind of acts like the elder. He always protects those younger than him and tries to give advice as best as he can. Generally, he tries to seek out the kids affected by the bites and help them with their troubles. He hopes to create a large group where they all support each other.

Appearance: Light blonde-gray hair, gray eyes, pale skin, and generally wears casual dress clothes for work. He also has a long black tail (twice the length of his own body) with a white furry tip. However, he usually hides the tail by wrapping it around his body and tucking it in his clothing. He is often seen wearing reading glasses.

History: Was bitten by a monkey when he was 10 and since he noticed the mutation he began studying it. He realized there were more with the mutation out there and decided to find them all.

Mutation OR Power: Agility. Very flexible. Can jump or get around easily. Also tail is made of a hard substance that cannot be broken or cut. So he often uses it to fend for himself.

Other: Works selling computer supplies... 8D

The cool night air whipped around the girl's hair. The dark alley way was home to crime. She had a mad look on her face, watching the huge clock that was on one of the churches' towers. It rang loudly over the city, noting that it was ten.

"The clock is beautiful don't you think?" A man's grizzly voice startled the girl as he came out from the shadows. She too stepped more into the light, revealing silky blonde hair cascading down her shoulders, that framed a beautiful face with ocean blue eyes.

"I didn't come to talk about beauty. I want my money." Her voice was smooth, melodic. The girl's expression was solemn, like everything else about her. The man handed her a cash and then disappeared into the shadows as the girl counted the wad.

"A hundred short!" She cursed under her breath as she walked out of the alley, money hidden from view.

(Better sub this topic guys cuz this is the only time I'll ping you all. ;D Also, I can volunteer to be the bad guy if no one else wants to. Up to you, Sea. 😸)

The darkness provided comfort and protection for the one on the roof. It was the roof of an apartment building in the middle of the busy city, yet the residents here had no idea who the man on the roof was. As a matter of fact, they couldn't quite fathom how he had gotten there in the first place.

That was why he had to hide. There would be too much suspicion. He sighed as he stretched out the long tail, the muscles aching form being hidden during the day. How he wished he could do this everyday, but alas there was a schedule to keep. It didn't bother him too much however. After all, a good book in hand could make anyone relaxed about anything.

(Just felt I should label his location... LOL Can do what you want. Also, this is my first time literatelly RPing so excuse any dumbness. 8D)

The streets were packed with people downtown in the city. It was your usual Friday night. A boy, who looked as though he shouldn't be out with everyone else, ventured around the busy stores and sidewalks.

He was careful not to get in the way of people passing by for he knew that he didn't want any delays from reaching his destination. He finally made it to a less crowded area of the city, venturing further through the streets.

Eventually, he stopped at an old apartment building looking up at the old and tall building. Wondering if the person to meet was up there. (Let this open for either of you. XD)

Out of the corner of his normally focused eyes, the man on the roof spotted the boy. He puts the book down away from view, staring more intently to make sure the boy was who he thought he was. The distance was difficult, but he managed to get a basic outline of the boy he had met earlier that day. However, in order to be sure, he had to get closer.

He shuts the book with a light thud, standing up and dusting off his dark gray jeans. After a quick stretch, he glances back where the boy stands. Since he still couldn't be sure, he proceeds to tuck the tail inside his shirt, wrapping it around his body until it was out of sight.

Now the tricky part was getting back down from the roof. It would be easy with the tail, but if he showed off too much, he could get discovered. He would just have to find another way. Plus, he wasn't completely useless without the extra apendage. He was sure he could figure it out.

Still keeping an eye on the kid, he proceeds to leap off the top of the building to another, then ducking down under a brick border. From this angle, he gets a better view of the kid. Now he can see it really is him. The one he had told to meet him here if he had any sorts of trouble. So I guess he decided to listen.

With another quick jump, he grabs a hanging flag, then proceeds to lower himself to the ground. Looking around to make sure he wasn't seen, he walks over to the kid.

(Phew, that was a lot...)

"You there!" The girl looked over her shoulder, seeing someone that was not so friendly...for her. She started running, catching her breath because she ran into someone in front of an old apartment building.

The boy was still looking up at the building, unaware that the person he was to meet had come down from a different angle. He sighed, looking down and to the left of him, nearly jumping when he saw the guy standing behind him.

"H-Hey!" He said with a slight stutter from the surprise-

His thoughts and conversation was put on standstill when out of no where a girl pile drived him from behind. He fell forward into the older guy, nearly tripping to go towards the sidewalk.

"I'm so sorry!" The girl said, her hood up covering her hair and face. Her eyes seemed closed, but you couldn't tell. She was breathing hard and she looked up into the boy's eyes, hypnotizing him as soon as she heard the police officer chasing her.

"Hide me." The girl said, the hypnotism strong, but it wouldn't be for long. It wasn't clear that he was under a spell.

The guy stands there, shocked at what was going on. Still holding the boy in his arms with concern. However, now he felt suspicious towards the girl who pushed him in the first place. He let this suspicion show with a slightly threatening glare.

He became hypnotised almost instantly from being caught off guard. He looked around for the cops that were chasing the girl and could hear them in the distance. He pulled from the man's grip roughly and grabbing the girl's wrist, running into the apartment building and up the stairs.

He went to about the 3rd floor before stopping and waiting to see if they had followed.

Now the man was really sure something was going on. But before he could go after the boy and the girl he took with him, he was surrounded by police officers. Not wanting to cause a scene, he politely stops as they crowd around the area. However, he is secretly anerved as to what their reason for being here is.

The girl smiled as she was rushed up the stairs. She hadn't had used her power in a while, but used it when she thought needed. The girl's hood fell revealing her face.

"Thank you." She said as the hypnotism seemed to disappear.

He blinked it away, looking around slightly confused how he ended up here. He almost fell from the slightly after affect of dizzyness, but managed to catch him. He eyed over at the girl, noticing her features. "You're...welcome?" He replyed, slightly confused at her graditude.

The guy shoots a look towards the girl as she runs off. He has no idea what the police are chasing her for, but the fact she had someone caused the kid to follow her command wasn't normal.

"You better appreciate this," He thought, directing the policemen's attention to himself.

"That girl just took my wallet!" He shouts to them, "Get her! That has my bank cards and everything!"

He points down another street, directly opposite of where the boy and girl were running.

He blinked, not even remembering who they were running from in the first place. "Uh, sure." He said again, looking around for the older guy. He looked out the window and saw him directing police away. He finally put two and two together and whipped around to the girl.

"What did you do to have the police chase after you!?" He yelled, panicing a little.

(Sorry. XD I'm an actice RPer when I like an idea. ;P)

With a bit of a smirk, the man begins to walk off as the police leave the scene to chase after the red herring he had given them. Today might not be the day he get to speak with the kid, but then again there was always tomorrow. Perhaps the boy would recruit the girl as well, one never knew.

For now, he couldn't be sure about any of this. It was best to stay quiet for a bit. Pouncing on a hint like this was too risky. But it still looked promising. As he walked off, he turned back to check if the boy and girl were still and then disappeared into the crowd.

"I...uh-" He paused. He knew she wasn't the normal type of girl, especially if she had the police chasing after her. So he figured he could probably tell her anyways; besides, she brought it up.

"Yea?" He finally finished saying, pulling his gaze away from the window to face her. He noticed how calm she was and tried to relax as well. "You too?" He asked.
