He blinked, thinking for a moment, "So...Are you homeless?" He asked, trying not to touch the wrong nerves. He went back to being happy when he thought of an idea that would help, "I know! You can live with me and my family~ I mean...you seem alright."

"Really, it's not a problem. I mean, my older sister just moved out about a week ago, so it's been kinda lonely in the house." He held up a finger, smirking a little, "Besides, my parents probably wouldn't mind since you're bitten."

"Then.. If you're sure it's not a problem, I'll stay for a little bit..." I say slowly, making up my mind. I straighten up and smile briefly. "You do not know how many times I'm going to thank you." I smile and quickly dart over to him and give him a brief hug before letting go and stepping back. "Thank you." I say, looking at the ring that I still had in my hand, resting on my palm.

He was a little shocked by the hug she gave him but in a way felt happy that he could help. He could tell she probably didn't have a lot of good friends around her, just like him when he went to school during the day. It did pass his mind that he probably shouldn't be hanging out with "older" people but the kids his age didn't really want to hang out with him either, so he just ignored the thought.

He gazed up at the bright moon high above the sky and yawned, getting tired. "Well, we should probably start walking there before it becomes morning." He suggested, "I have school tomorrow." He frowned slightly at the thought, then turned on his heel and led Aphrodite through the woods.

"School?" I ask, scrunching up my nose. I break into laughter, walking beside him. "Y-y-you have to go to.. School!" I finish laughing and sigh. "Doesn't sound like fun." I say, all serious again. This was my way. I used my 'mood swings' as a way to confuse the enemy and people that I need to confuse.

"I've never been to school," I say with a shrug. "Though I've watched plenty movies about it. School seems.. Troublesome."

"Yea, tell me about it." Kai groaned, "My parents make me go. They say I need to be "prepared for the world"...It's so boring!" He continued to walk, taking the trail he used to get there back to the more populated city. "I already know all the stuff I need to go out into the world. Why do I need geometry, algebra, and HISTORY?" He put stress on the last subject, which wasn't the one he was very good at.

"History's easy." I say, shrugging. "I was kind of homeschooled by my big brother when he was still alive. Though it's algebra that I was always stuck on.. When will we ever need y=mx+b in the real world anyways!" I say with a laugh, shaking my head.

"But if you need help in History, I would be happy to be the one to help you. You could count it as part of my way to repay you for letting me stay with you and your family."

He looked over at her and smiled happily. "Okay!" He replyed. When they made it to their destination, it was a suburban house on the outpart of the city. The lawn was well kept. It had flower bushes along the white colored house with a tan roof that seemed to bring everything together. The door was a usual stained wood type with a glossy look. Kai reached into his pocket and took out the key to the house, unlocking the door. He opened it and walked inside, holding the door open for Aphrodite.

Inside the house in front of her was a carpetted stairway leading up to the second floor. To her right she could see the living room. It had a brown leather couch and seat along with a glass coffee table and TV stand + TV. To her right was the dining room and kitchen.

Kai walked up the stairs halfway, yawning again. He felt exhausted from all the walking and searching today. He looked back down at Aphrodite, "I'll show you the room then. My sis left her bed, so you can use that while you stay here. I'll explain to my parents tomorrow morning."

"Wow..." I say, looking around with wide eyes. "It's so... nice..." Almost in a daze, I nod at what Kai says about a room and a bed, still amazed.

He pauses, letting her take a look around the house with her eyes. His parents were sound asleep in their room and probably wouldn't wake up to the sound of them coming in. He yawned for a third time, sitting down on the steps to wait for her.

"I don't see why not," He said, "We have an extra room and you're around my age." He stood up on the steps and walked up the rest of the flight of stairs. "You can at least spend the night! Don't worry so much~" He looked back at her and smiled. He was being sweet, but you could tell that he just wanted to go to bed.

"Okay. Well, I can see you're tired, so I won't argue," I say, giving him a smile back. I pull my wings in tighter against my back and stick my hands in my pockets, feeling as though my fingertips are blocks of ice.

He pointed down a dark hall, talking in a slightly hushed voice, "My sis's room, well- I guess your room, is just the first door on the right." He laughed, "It's really not hard to miss. She had it all "girlyfied" before she left. Well, I'm heading to bed. Talk to you tomorrow." He walked down the hall then. Aphrodite could hear the sound of a door opening and closing, then followed by silence.

@cupcake-neko Sometimes it's just so much info I don't feel like reading. XD But I'm slightly glad I'm not the only one. 😸

I smile and find the room, looking around in intrest. Pink and purple was everywhere and I scrunched my nose. "It's so... Pink!" I whisper to myself, closing the door and flicking on the light. I frown and close the blinds before sitting on the bed. I glance around, shake my head, and turn off the light before falling asleep quickly.
