I'm not very sure if the title is clear, but it seems like raising critters until level 2000 for them to grow up is a bit high. I was thinking that it might be better if egg cave cut the number in half or even 1500 is good. 😊

@wallie987
Well immortality is a big thing.
So it shouldn't be easy to attain it.
If you stick with the egg for a few days, it'll be immortal. ^^

I have a bit of confusion, creatures do not "grow up" due to their level, the evolve and grow up based on their stats. It may take a user 1 month to hatch something with 1000 view while for other 1 week or a few days. The creatures levels have nothing to do with anything other than once it reaches over lv. 2000 it is immortal and cannot die. It can continue to level forever I'm just a bit unclear about what you are saying.

Well I agree with that, but if you think about it, if you have several creatures it gets kind of difficult so really it limits you to 2-6 creatures you can work on. And then you need to constantly feed your other creatures since they'll die off which is pretty tiring especially since putting 30 creatures in the food shoppe uses up quite a bit of money. 😋

That's what I was trying to tell you. But "full grown" is the term in the Faq's so I thought it would be easier to understand like that. The imortaluty thing came after.

@wallie987

You creatures won't die after a day of not feeding. ^^ You can earn EC by trading and feeding. Well, those are the main ways people earn EC. You can also hire people to help immortalize or hatch/evolve your creatures. Creating a topic to say that you want some feeds and that you'll feed back is also a good way to get feeds and earn EC. ^^

I, personally, think it's fine the way it is.

@wallie987
Huh? Wait wait. You have 30 creatures? Some people have almost 100, maybe more, and they might still feed their coves. 30 is not a lot.

Also, immortality is really big. You need to work for it. Plus, 1000 or 1500 would be like letting down the users who worked super hard to immortalize, and finally got to level 2000. Sorry, but I do not support of this idea. I like it the way it is.

Thanks for your feedback everyone, but it really doesn't seem like anyone is getting the point. Really, if you think about it (the short way) compare the rate at which you obtain new creatures with the rate at which you immortalize creatures. How long it takes to feed your creatures isn't excactly the issue because no matter how fast you feed your creatures and immortalize them, you will still obtain new creatures(right?). So eventually, you're going to reach a nummber that IS difficult to feed.

@wallie987

It takes me a week (or less) to immortalize all of my new creatures. So when I get new creatures, it doesn't take long at all. And feeding your creatures is a slow way to immortalize them, but you don't have to feed them to immortalize them.

So with all the ways to immortalize your creatures, level 2000 isn't bad. Plus there's a reason why it's level 2000. When you do all the math to it 😋

@bubblez huh, never taught of it 😸 there is a reason for the level 2000? x3

@xxcharlotte

Well! Since you need 6000 views/clicks/feeds in total, if you divide that by 3 it's 2000. So 2000/views; 2000/clicks; 2000/feeds = 6000 in total 😋 Though most people just get views XD

@bubblez oooh, yeah i knew about the "with 6000 total your crit get immortal" but never taught about deviding it by 3 xD thnx 😸

I have around 100 and I still feed them around a frequent basis. And plus, you don't always need to get more eggs.

It's not that hard to immortalize a creature. Actually, in some cases, it's easier to immortalize than to hatch/evolve to last stage. For example, the calla.

@wallie987 I don't really agree with this idea. I do understand what you're saying...it can be really hard to immortalize a lot of creatures! But a creature becoming immortal is a big thing, so I think that people should have to work for it. It's better than it used to be...there was a point where your creatures NEVER became immortal, and could always die. This is a lot easier! If you are having trouble, try posting your creatures on glitter-graphics to get lots of views, or use yarolds click exchange site. There is also an eggcave only click exchange site at eggcavern.com. Or you could try having a feeding contest where people earn points for feeding your eggs, and then the top feeders get a prize. There are lots of ways you can work to immortalize your creatures. It just takes a little bit of effort. Good luck! 😊

p.s. Do you use the Ctrl click way of feeding? That makes things go a LOT faster. In case you don't know, you just hold down the Ctrl button, and then click all of the eggs you want to feed. It will open a bunch of tabs with an egg in each one. Just feed, and then click Ctrl and W to close the tab. It will take you right to the next egg. You don't even need to move your mouse! 😊

It's not only that. There are a lot of sites you can post your eggs on, but has ANYONE noticed that weird messages pop up when you place them in siggies on other sites? You'll have to try to understand.

P.s thanks for the tips musicgirl

Interestingly, a handful of people wanted it to be much higher when the immortal feature was released. 😋

@Meteoroid Hm... If I was a member back then, that's would I would do 😸 I love a good challenge (and manga, and anime and Jackie Chan and my iPad). @wallie987 Ditto to what I said to my favorite mod.

Oh wow.... I'm thinking that maybe I should change the topic to: tweak adoptable and cove growth system (but it sound weird) 😋 Does egg cave have an official clickery?

@wallie987

Nah, I think 2000 is good personally. 1500 is too weird a number for me, and 1000 seems too low. 2000 is just right--challenging, but not impossibly so.😊

And to address your concern of cove growth/feed rate, I'm going to speak for myself here. I have actually reached the capacity of 300 eggs before. Granted, not for long, but I've been there, and even now I have over 250 eggs. Many of them are immortal, but there are also many that are not. I don't have any trouble keeping them from dying. I just feed coves regularly, participate in the click share on eggcavern.net, etc.
It's a challenge, but it's not impossible.

Egg Cavern has a click-exchange created just for Egg Cave critters. That's as official as you're gonna get, I guess. 😋

I actually preferred seeing a raise in the requirement to immortalize a pet *and* a slower decrease rate in happiness level.
