@lyric @ice2505 @fuzzykins412 ~~~Kat lifted up a door map and grabbed a key. She opened the door and walked in, turning around smiling a little. "Are you guys coming in or...?" The girl said moving out of the way, letting them come in. "It's Kat by the way." Kat sat on one of the chairs in the small living room, tracing the pattern of the fabric with her finger.

She thought, but shook it off since she just felt.. normal with them. Like she's known them for years.The scientist smiled and walked into Kat's, she guessed, home."Thanks." She said quietly and looked around.

It was much better than where she and Tristan lived, you could barely call their place a hut, and it was dirty, filled with rotting foods. " You have a nice place. " She complimented, studying every little bit of her house.Tristan grinned and walked inside, surprise lighting up his eyes as he took the whole house in. It was quite nice, much better than where he lived. " I guess we're all a team now, then. " He concluded, glancing around at the others. " That is, if you want to be a team. " Tristan quickly added.

Tristan grinned, and winced as he felt a sharp nudge in his arm. " Be careful. " Cassandra warned. " Tristan will tease you every chance he gets. " Tristan opened his mouth to protest, but quickly clamped it down again, rolling his eyes. " I do not. "" Uh, yes you do, stop denying it. " Cassidey replied." I only tease you, Cass-Cass. " He rolled his eyes, and gave Lydia a look that said, ' Can you believe it? ' His brown eyes twinkled in humor.

On one of the pictures there was a woman with brown hair and Kat's eyes, she was standing next to a man who looked like Kat. They were both behind Kat and a little girl, about five or six who looked just like the women. Kat's smile faded and she went back to looking at the group.

@mercuryKy looked a little disappointed. He noticed Kat look pictures, one specifically, and Ky saw her face fall. He quickly looked away, and decided to keep it to himself. He wondered what had happened to Kat, and her past.

Kat seemed to be a bit upset at the sight of those pictures, so she decided not to ask her, but there was still a spark of curiosity in her. She opened her mouth to ask, and Tristan glanced at her, not trusting her, and thinking that she would accidentally say something rude. " Shut up, Cass. " He hissed, giving her a warning look. " Just this one time, just shut up, you'll have other chances to talk, I promise. " He turned back to Lydia and grinned. " Ooh, I could make a nickname for you, too. Lemme think of one. "Cass groaned. " I told you he'd tease you. " She said, rolling her eyes. " He'll never stop bugging you now. "

The girl remembered something and got up. "I'll be right back, okay?" Kat went into one of the hallways, into the master bedroom. She sighed, but went to the closet opening it. The girl grabbed out a box, and went back to the room, putting it on the floor. Kat sat on her knees as she opened it, exposing paper and leather journals.

Tristan slunk back. " Oh no, not scientific terms, please, madam, please, don't! I beg you, madam! " He pleaded with mock horror, grinning. He poked her playfully with his finger, something he enjoyed doing to Cassandra. Tristan winked back, and poked Lydia one more time, laughing cheerfully. He turned to Kat, and laughed. " We're not siblings, we're just close friends. Although you could consider us siblings. " He replied, patting Cassandra's arm.Cassandra groaned. " Siblings? Oh, no, please don't make me siblings with him. " She said teasingly, grinning at Kat and Lydia. " He's dreadfully annoying. "

Should she go out and warn him? She glanced at Tristan. Tristan didn't say anything, just continued talking with the rest of the group. Sighing, she slipped on a pair of gloves that protected her hands from the jewels, and made sure her long sleeved shirt, and jeans covered up all of her skin so that the jewel was likely not to touch it. Cassandra gave them a little motion that said ' be right back ' and carefully walked out of the house, while tying up her blue hair in a ponytail so that it wouldn't get in the way." You IDIOT! " She shrieked, spotting the giant bag of jewels. " IDIOT! " Cassidey screamed again, grabbing the bag of jewels and throwing them on the ground. She stopped for a moment, and realized that she had probably annoyed the young man to the point of wanting to hurt her, and quickly stepped back. " Do you have any idea how dangerous those are? " She questioned, still keeping her glare on him. " For Gods sake, those jewels killed my family! " Cassandra snapped. A single tear rolled down her cheek, and she brushed it away quickly. " Never mind. Just... just don't touch those jewels again. " She muttered angrily, and walked back towards the house in disgust.

@fuzzykins412 They apparently don't know he's studying them (like I stated in his form), not trying to commit suicide. 😋 But I would say minus a big load of points for them both. >> Especially for calling him an idiot. xD---He remained motionless during the entire outburst, eyeing the girl with a blank expression. There wasn't a point in answering her rant, talking wasn't required either. She looked and sounded as ignorant as she was, the boy with her did too. So he simply chose to ignore their warnings of the thing he alredy knew enough of. If anything, he silently labeled them as less intelligent, not bothering to voice those thoughts. He only bothered raising an eyebrow as the bag was ripped from his hands and thrown on the ground.A barely notable frown was etched onto his face as he nonchalantly strolled over to take the gems back, handling them carefully with his leather clad hands. Despite the gloves on, imprudence was never an option.As he gathered his belongings, he also noticed the fallen journal and pen. The pages had scattered around, some of his studies had plopped down far off, so he took some time in redeeming them. When he did, however, he snapped the journal shut with spite, now frowning fully.Looking at the duo, he seemed calm, all except his icy blue eye, that shimmered eerily between the strands of chestnut hair covering it."You insult before even thinking. You do not know me."

@jupiter_hollow Nah, they didn't know that. XD My charrie's tend to be a little ignorant. -----Cassandra stopped at the door, hearing the boy talk. So he did have some knowledge of the jewels. Maybe she should have been less snappy. "I'm sorry, I let my anger get the best of me." She apologized, slowly inching towards the door and keeping her gaze on her high pink converse. "Maybe we should just start over." Cassandra said softly. "My name's Cassandra, you may call me Cassidey, or Cass." She greeted, carefully extending a hand to shake, but making sure that she still had the gloves on, in case the boy had accidentally touched the jewels.Tristan decided to lighten up the mood a bit, maybe with some teasing for Cassandra. "No no, call her Cass-Cass, she prefers that." He said, a small smile forming at the stranger. "Oh, do shut up, Tristan." Cassandra groaned. "Please, don't call me Cass-Cass, it gives me nightmares just thinking of that name. Cassidey is perfectly fine."

Like before, he remained motionless, expressionless and silent, just watching as the two joked nonchalantly. At the girl's introduction, he only bothered nodding, not accepting the handshake, not introducing himself as well and not even mustering a single word. Securing the bag of gems back on his shoulder, he tucked the journal underneath his arm again and nodded again. Like before, words just weren't needed. He was still wary of the duo and therefore didn't find the need to communicate further.There was one thing that caught his attention, however. The gems had killed their family. He could relate greatly. Despite their ignorance, the girl and boy shared a past with him - his family had died on Earth, swept by the sickness. He hadn't seen it happen with his own eyes, but was nearly sure they were all deceased."Apologiez for your family." he monotonously called out, frowning lightly. This had partially explained her rash actions, but still, being labeled an idiot was a thing his dignity couldn't handle."I am well aware of the effect of gemstones. I don't need anyone worrying for me, or telling me what to do, for that matter. Strangers much less." the sentence had come out a bit harsher than he'd intended it to be but he kept cool.

@fuzzykins412@jupiter_hollow @ice2505 @lyric~~~Kat rolled her eyes as Cassandra walked out and yelled at another boy. Tristen then followed mentioning the teasing name Cass Cass. A small smile appeared on Kat's face as she took a brown leather journal out of the box. The journal, now open, had been written in dates marking the top of the page. "My dad's journal." The young girl said as explanation, deeming that it was enough. She flipped to the last page that had almost unreadable cursive written on it. The date was written only six months ago. Whoever wrote it had shaky hands. "My dad wrote about the jewels. This was the day before he died. He...he says that the jewels were killing him. He says here that his best friend died the week before. I guess figured something was wrong, but it was too late. See, m-my worked in the mines." Kat had trouble on some sentences trying to hold back tears.

@mercury Hey, I'm gonna drop out, I think :/ I was a bit enthusiastic about Noir being the "smart one" of the group, already knowing about gems, but Kat's got it covered so that's no loss.

@jupiter_hollow Not necessarily. I was planning that this would be the first that Kat, a thirteen year old girl, would be touching something of her father's. As in, she doesn't know much about the jewels, just that they kill and are pretty. I was hoping that Noir would come in and compare what he had in his journal with what Kat's father has in his journal. So, please don't drop out.

@mercury No, that's not the reason ^^" Well, partially is. but still, the main reason is... alright, third page and everyone's already crying. Dx I can't take that in a roleplay. I don't know, just doesn't seem logical to me. :/ Yeh, me and my logic xDNoir's an insensitive guy. His stupid father, the death of said father and him departing from his family has left him cold. He didn't see his family die and didn't mind his father dying, since he hated the guy. And, you know, everyone has a tragic past and STILL they're all cheery and happy unlike Narcius. And as soon as the matter of their parents is brought up, they start crying (in front of strangers, may I add). I don't mind the roleplay. I just doubt Noir's logic and his nonchalance towards would fit in with everybody else. True, he turns fairly sweet after a while of development, but it'll a long while... so yeah. >>I'm being a bit rash with this, so I'll wait a while before my final decision. Sorry ^^"

@jupiter_hollow Yes Noir is insensitive, but if you look at the group (and correct me if I'm wrong) no one's quiet the same as each other. As in none of them fit in and yet they do. Do you know where I'm getting at?

Perhaps later, but they are all still strangers to her."Well, then." she said, coughing a bit to catch everyone's attention."Should I leave? I don't want to embarrass anyone with my stranger-danger." the scientist chuckled a bit, but stopped when she saw everyone was still saddened by their losses.She blinked and got up, fixing the end of her shirt a bit and walked towards the door.Lydia placed a hand on the doorknob and looked over her shoulder, sighed, and left.The scientist closed the door behind her and closed her eyes, gulped down some saliva and walked back to the market.The vendors and buyers were all back to normal, and she pulled out two more rubber gloves, put them on, got out her wallet and walked over to one of the marketers."How much for one?" she asked her eyes not to the man, but to the jewels he had set out.He told her the price and she paid, then as she was walking back to the same box she'd seen the teenagers on, something crunched below her.She looked down and saw the broken jewel and sighed.Lydia backed up and bent down, taking out a small plastic bag and placed the glowing shards into it.The scientist went back to the box and took out a shard, her brain identifying it as dangerous, tiny, sharp, glowing, mysterious and beautiful in a split second.

Kat noticed that Cass, Tristen, and the other guy was standing outside of the small house. "Um, do you guys want to come in or just stand there?" Kat said, a little quiver in her voice. The young girl put a small smile on her face and looked at all of them.
