Is CC over rated?

A number of users can't get CC. They try very hard to sell their older LEs for CC to buy one of the new creatures.

It's like you can't get into the spirit unless you have access to CC.

Guys, I understand what you're saying, BUT if there was no CC Ian would not be able to pay the cost to keep the site up and running.

And you don't HAVE TO buy CC. It's just an option.

I'm just saying, I have spent over $100 last year alone. It would be nice if you could get the older LEs for EC rather than CC.

Yeah, it's over rated. I am not for repealing it, I just think that users should be available to buy creatures they like for EC/creatures too.
Imagine how is it like for newbies - if they don't buy CC they are hardly going to get any good creatures :/

But as of right now, people want CC I guess because you can actually use it on stuff to buy?

@phoenixfox I get your point. But I'll never get CC, and I'll never trade, and I enjoy this site enough to spend 10+ hours per day on it when I have time.

But what is your definition of a "good" creature?
It's not like there is any difference between a CC and a Cave creature, other than the CC creature being a little more rare. The cave creatures are just a beautiful and isn't it up to everybody's personal preferences anyway?

Maybe there should be 2-3 monthly EC ccreatures just like monthly CC creatures.

You don't necessarily need to buy CC to get it.... I've been able to sell of my old LEs for them. But then again, that's only possible for older users I suppose... D:

But it would begin fill up the cave and make it impossible to get other cave creatures. [And then we'll run out of creature ideas faster D8 ]
Though I wouldn't mind too much.

Maybe selling your old LE's for CC is more possible for older users, but getting CC with EC is very much possible for new users.

People should just be out there making as much EC as possible instead of making boards about it and chatting it up. When I first started I used to sell names, travels, new LE's, whatever, non-stop so I could get EC and turn that into CC. It's very much possible for newbies, and even oldies without means to buy CC, to get CC through trading.

@Phoenixfox IKR! CC is so hard to get and like @Twilight_raptor said water to life! But I think Ian has probably made so much money because people spend so much and Metaphor has spent 100$ worth, like WOW I think Ian has enough even from that! I cannot believe he has gotten so much money off this!

I can't buy CC, almost all my best creatures are gift, trade for CC is really difficoult, I have LEs and endangered creatures UFT but no one want to trade for CC, I usually get less than 50CC every month trading my creatures. Also they are really really expensive in my opinion, not all people can afford them (me for example), if a person spend around 100 dollars in 3 months in CC...Ian earn a lot...It would be great if every month is released one or two creature you can buy for EC, a large amount, like 500k/1 million, they can work like a CSP creature, so the trades for EC could increase and people can't buy CC could resell them in future...it is only my opinion

I think egg cave revolves around cc. It has become the currency and I can't afford it. People don't want to trade LE's for Le's anmore, it's cc for creatures :c

I'm not sure how much Ian has left every month from CC, servers are expensive and so is living o.o I know a manga site that needs hundreds of dollars just for maintenance each month and eggcave gets a lot of traffic.

I agree with what people have said, CC is necessary to keep the site up and I must add that it's not necessary to enjoy the site. I've done without for a VERY long time, I finally caved when the Nym was released. There are plenty of nice creatures you can get without CC. Even now.

The problem with the trading currently is that everyone wants CC and there isn't much around, which increases the value of CC compared to EC and creatures. Simple question of supply and demand.

Also I think 100$ in 3 months is a lot, even I don't usually spend that much.

Hey guys... 100 dollars a month may seem like a lot to pay, but it isn't much for Ian. Some people make 100 a DAY.

But commons are nice too and there is such a big variety to choose from. A cove can be really nice without any CC creature as well.

Eiither way, CC isn't needed to enjoy the site and it can be got by other people. EC can buy CC. Not ideal or easy but...

On the topic of CC buying creatures... I personally sell the newer LEs for EC, unless someone offers CC.

But I will never sell my CC creatures for anything but CC. As, the money I spend on CC I earned from working my job. And in all honesty, I really should NOT be spending money on a site when I should be saving it for emergencies, like my car or groceries. But... I've never had will power. XP

Either way. If I spend CC for something, I won't sell it for EC unless I'm in desperate need of EC.

I don't think it's overrated at all.

since not many people can buy CC, maybe we should have more rare creature's (like the mo and terron) in the cave that is harder to find.83 and having a egg shop where you can buy eggs with EC is good too.;3

I cannot get CC. Neither can other people, but I still strive to get it by raising EC. But CC has not only become overrated, it has become more expensive EC-wise. Why must I feed 10.000 creatures to raise a million EC so I can get a dollar (EDIT XD) worth CC?

I'm raising for a gift for a friend - a Nym. These are 3k CC or more. And people are underoffering and being greedy like always. Commons are nice, but they are only so few. And CC's are more beautiful, they are made to be more beautiful so they are bought more.

I wish CC wouldn't be this much of a lifeline for this site. It's becoming hard for me to enjoy it properly...

I earned ALL of my CC. Since day 1 I was saving up, so before you tell me whether I can talk or not, you should get things straight. You think my CC just magically appeared in my account one day? I can't tell you how much time I spent on here selling names and travels to save up EC. Just because not everyone has that same drive and prefer to just cry and moan about it, doesn't mean I can't talk >>

and 1million EC is worth a Dollar of CC >>
