About the Egg:
The egg itself is hard and smooth, but the stripe seems to be slimy and wet!

More About the Slithert:
When a Slithert hatches, the first thing they learn to do is slither. Even before they hiss, Slitherts will start to slide around. Their skin is smooth, and only gets rough when in water. They love being around people, but also like torturing them...a lot. So stay away more these fellows, unless they like you. A lot.
