i have a bit of a strange taste in music for my age xD

You know, obviously, I like to jump around within genres. Most of the artists I like are Pop, since that's what I'm usually exposed to, but I've begun to branch off to Alternative, Indie, Goth Pop, and Goth Rock.

I don't really like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, or One Direction. Taylor Swift, I just can't hear another song about her crying over boys... I get ignored by a guy, then I like another guy a few years later, and it happens again. I learned my lesson after two attempts. One Direction, I've never liked boy bands. Justin Bieber... Well, he's just Justin Bieber. He's a glorified young adult (using the term loosely) who prances around and acts like he's the best singer on Earth... Lol. Not even close.
I don't know. I'm a fan of Ke$ha, so call me a hypocrite. 😋 I'm used to it.

I have my ups and downs with Nicki Minaj, so I can't put her on either list.
Hot Chelle Rae. I don't really like them. I try to like them, but "Tonight Tonight" just REALLY bugs me.
Carly Rae Jepsen. Nope. She's just too normal for a female singer... Too stereotypical. Getting hormonal over boys and wanting to kiss them, etc.

I haven't been catching up with TDG, but I know their new album came out a few months ago.
I'm still waiting for new albums from Evanescence, and Within Temptation. I know WT is working on their album right now, but I don't know what happened to Evanescence... D'8 I've heard all their songs, and their last album was great, and I want more.

I'm not familiar with Shinedown, but I've heard of them. They're not extremely heavy, are they?

@Immortalraven I don't think they're very noticed. T_T But a friend of mine started listening to them a while back, and I decided to as well.
Their 2011 album "The Unforgiving," gets a lot of trash from WT fans, but it's probably my favorite. I loved all of the songs on it. Some of their older music is more unique and has better lyrics, though, I'd agree on that aspect.


I would recommend that a lot of people listen to Florence & the Machine, but I don't know. They're strangely unique, but they're great. Florence Welch really has a perfect voice for the music she sings. And she's actually on the radio! "Sweet Nothing" isn't really her style song, but still. She's on the radio. I flipped out when I heard them announce her name. xD
