... So, I had just finished editing a post. The forum came up, and all the posts on the topic said this:

PHP Error
Severity: Warning

Message: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: missing ) at offset 7

File Name: helpers/ecode_helper.php

Line Number: 68
--
And they had a little box surrounding the message. One refresh fixed this though.

Then, I clicked on 'Forums' to get to the index, but this showed up:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /chroot/home/eggcavec/eggcave.com/html/application/helpers/ecode_helper.php on line 85

I had to refresh 3 times before it was fixed. It might be nothing, maybe just a little hiccup or something with the site.

I'm on an iPad, and using Safari (in the latest version, as far as I know).

Try clearing your history, cache and cookies if this keeps happening. It seems as if theres a delay with the connection from your iPad onto the site, it's nothing major, it happens to me sometimes when I'm using my phone. 😋

@ems

It probably was a little hiccup. We're bound to have some while they're installing a filter.

I'm on the house computer and all the topics worked for me. But I didn't edit any posts today 😸

@borgore ... Um how do I do that? Also, I was looking at something after I saw your post, came back, and before the ping is this:

/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/$item1\b/i/

It goes on much longer than that though.. O-o

Edit: After I posted, the page refreshed (as it usually does) and it went away.

Yeah, I just saw that when someone pinged me on another post.

By the looks of it, it's a problem on EggCave's behalf. They are fixing some things I believe, with the yeep filter and such.

I'm not 100% sure how to clear the history on an iPad, I know it's possible, though. xD

@ems There is some behind the scenes work being done. That is what was causing the error. Ian is working on clearing things up.

@bubblez Yeah, that's what I thought. xD

@barbyka I haven't had any problems on the computer, but I haven't used the computer in a while. 😋

@borgore *nod* Yeah, that's probably what it is. ^^ Just checking though. It's really weird. O.o Oh darn. I guess I'll have to Google it or something. XD

@ems

theres a weird thing in the forums saying Ian has posted in a topic about 10 times... I think EggCave is having a couple issues right now. xD

Check the livepulse. He hasn't even posted in that topic. o.o

@borgore xD That's funny. Yeah, I agree. Guess this is solved then. 😋

@orderedchaos Oh ok. You can close this then. ^^

@borgore The forums are working fine. Ian was just testing things and quickly deleting the posts. 😉

The error that was caused here was due to the fixing of the filter, which is now working as intended and is no longer filtering parts of words.

Closing this topic since the bug has been fixed.
