Then he scrambled to Cloudsky river, stopping to remember and do a silent and quick vow to Dawnrise and pick up a few clear pebbles. He moved them by the rainbow, and captured the rainbow in the stone. Then he brought the stone to Soul Eater, 2nd one to.

Stormpaw bounded free on the clouds, heading straight for cloud stream. But she wasn't concerned with escaping - no, Stormpaw was more interested in winning the contest and killing Soul Eater. So she ran as fast as she could, eventually resorting to flying.

Soul Eater collected each and every item from the cats, and assembled his final masterpiece. "Brilliant." He breathed out, It was a master trap. It blended with the ground. Just one thing remained.

"Very well.. very nice. There is only one task left. Whoever finishes this task gets to be the fighter."

Deathkit yelled. "Don't you dare!" WIth a high pitched yell, she launced herself at Soul Eater. "Everycat, attack!"

Smokepaw growled at the demon before following Deathkit. Digging his claws into its back.

Snowdash didn't needed to be told twice. He leaped over and clawed Soul Eater on the back. Then he turned and was ready to defend himself from the other soul eaters he knew would come out.

Soul Eater rasped. "Such bravery." With a flying kick, he caught Deathkit and tossed her off. With another swipe, he sent Moonkit sprawling back. A hiss and buck trying to get Smokepaw off. Last but not least, he turned in for a fatal blow at Snowdash.

Stormpaw grabbed a random flower, hoping it was the correct one, and pelted back off towards where Soul Eater held her friends. Her eyes narrowed, and she hissed quietly to herself as she ran.

What she saw infuriated her.

Deathkit and Moonkit had been tossed away, and Soul Eater was trying to buck off Smokepaw, turning to give Snowdash a deadly blow.

And Stormpaw then did something stupid.

She flung herself between Snowdash and Soul Eater at the very last second, taking the blow fully.

Soul Eater was shocked. Never before had he seen something like that. True loyalty and friendship. He seemed to crumble, lose his energy, and he collapsed in a heap. Why? No cat knew. But Soul Eater was definetely down.

Deathkit looked at Soul Eater. "Uh..." She wanted to smack herself. WHy stare at him when her clanmate was injured. "Stormpaw? You okay?"

Stormpaw lay on her side, coughing up blood. "Stormpaw? You okay?" A small voice asked. Stormpaw rolled her head to look at the kit. "Ah... I dunno, Deathkit." She rasped, a pained expression crossing her face. "You... You gotta get outta here..." Her voice was no more than a whisper, and a horse one at that. She winced again. "Go now! Run faster than you ever have, and don't stop until you're back at camp." Stormpaw was slipping...

"Go..." She whispered, coughing again. More blood. More pain.

Deathkit started to feel tears well up (Do cats cry?) as she heard Stormpaw's words. There was so much blood! What do you do? "Stowmpaw.. you not gona stay here by yowself. I dwag you back to camp even if it means I neawly get eaten. You aint stayin here to die!"

Soul Eater disappeared, in his place was a sparkling flower.

Smokepaw stood up after falling on a fower. He let out a gasp as Stormpaw lay bleeding. Grabing the flower hoping it was important he tucked in one of his wings before grabbing Stormpaw. "Come on. Let's get you back to camp." He meowed his voice strained.

Stormpaw gritted her teeth and glared at Deathkit. "Hey, I'm not going to Starclan just so you can follow after. Go now, I'll be fine!" She snarled roughly, cringing as she coughed again. Black spots danced across her vision. She was picked up by Smokepaw. "Smokepaw...?" She rasped quietly, fading towards unconsciousness. "I... Love you." And then she slipped away, her breathing ragged and labored as pains ripped through her chest. Eventually they faded, and Stormpaw was left in a dreamless sleep.

Deathkit obediently followed after everyone, occasionally glancing around to make sure they were okay. "What happen to ofher mownsters?"

The flower was caught in a breeze and it's petals floated toward the sky. Pure, lovely, and harmless. that was the end of Soul Eater

Stormpaw faded in and out, words slipping by like gibberish. Everything was shaky, and Stormpaw felt sick. She coughed softly, a tear slipping quietly and unnoticeably from her eye, tinkilng as it fell and ever so gently hit the clouds. Her right wing tip dragged on the ground, the wing itself half-open and caked in blood.

Smokepaw continued to drag Stormpaw touched by her words. He carried her towards the camp and looked around.

Starpelt looked out of the camp hoping that the cats would come back. Then she saw a flash of greyish. And ran out of camp.

Stormpaw smelled a new cat... Herbs. "Starpelt?" She rasped quietly. "Are we... Back already...?" She wondered if she was dying. The stars were.. Brighter. Prettier. She looked up at them and her brow furrowed a bit. She felt herself slip again, abut hung on for a last question. "Am I dying...?" An then the blackness returned, engulfing the apprentice again.
