Creativity Contest: Submissions

You have until May 11th to submit your entries. Please don't post the stories in here, but instead give us a link to where we can view them.

THEME: Summer. (as this is the first contest, we are a bit more lenient and therefore this isn't binding.)


Please be respectful of US! You may not agree with what we decide, but we won't be biased in any way.

All the prizes are coming directly from us. We're paying for them, and we're using our time to thoroughly judge the entries. This contest is strictly for YOU to have fun. So, while we understand not everyone will agree with the results, we're going to try our best.


Sign ups ARE closed. But! If you want to do a late sign up, just shoot me a PM. It's likely I can still sign you up, just keep in mind that you will have less time than others and we do not take that into consideration when judging.


Post the links to your entries in this thread.

If for some reason you feel uncomfortable allowing everyone else to see, shoot me a PM with the entry and I'll keep it private it for you.

RULES:
- Do not use something that's already done. Please come up with something new for the contest. Makes it fair to everyone.
- Stories cannot exceed 1,500 words.
- Please don't post the stories on the thread, please post a link to where we can read the story.
- You can only submit one thing per section. (aside from poetry and graphic design, where you can submit 3 - only your best is counted though and you only get one entry prize-)
- Please be respectful of other users and their work.
- Lastly, please be respectful of US! You may not agree with what we decide, but we won't be biased in any way. Please remember that this contest doesn't benefit us, this is for YOU! So please keep that in mind when the results come out.

ANY CATEGORIES/LEVELS WITH UNDER 3 SIGN UPS HAVE BEEN DELETED FROM THE CONTEST. As there was only one beginner for stories and ect, we've combined the levels into one submission.

As well as comics only had two sign ups, thus, it has been deleted.

ENTRY PRIZES:

The second you submit something, you get a small entry prize.

It can either be a travel, or a hatched common from @whitewolf93 in the 'entry' prizes list.

If you submit to two sections, you get two entry prizes.

When submitting your entry, please post what you would like. Whether it be a hatched common, (which one specifically) or which travel you would like to be sent.

In poetry and graphic design where you can submit three things, you still only get one entry prize.

The judging will work on an overall scale.

Each section, whether it be story or ect is broken into an overall score out of 100.

The example for the story scale -

Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation : /10
Introduction: /15
Conclusion: /15
Characterization: /15
Creativity/Originality: /10
Plot: /15
Engaging (fun to read): /20

For a score out of 100.

Your scores will not be posted this is just to help us determine a winner in a fair manner.

What if my story is 1,645 words? Is that too much? And I don't have a place to post my story, so how would I enter it?

We'd prefer if your story is within the limit, but 100 more isn't too much... It's just for my own sake. With University and jobs and such. I don't have a lot of spare time. If you really can't shorten it, that's fine.

There are lots of places you can post your story online, but if you're uncomfortable with that, you can PM it to me. ^^
