I use google chrome.

I know you can have up to three side accounts but does this site use IP addresses for activity?
My brother started using egg cave today and he fed his full cove and then mine. later I tried to feed my cove but it said I'd fed them all! I was fine with this we don't use ECT so I thought one of my early morning sessions must have made me think I hadn't fed my cove. However, I then went to feed his cove and it said I'd fed them all! I even tried to feed a different users creature that I watched my brother feed and again I had apparently fed it!

Help me @Ian!

@chlojo
Yeah, if someone sharing the same IP address as you feeds your creatures, you won't be able to feed them until the site resets. Says in the FAQ C:

So it seems likely that your brother fed your cove and his before you attempted to.

@chlojo Eggcave uses IP addresses, so you won't be able to feed any creatures your brother does until the next day.

@chlojo Feeding is based on IP address, as are clicks and views. So you and your brother won't be able to feed the same coves in one day.

However, things like Cave steals, Asteroid visits, and events are account based. So you and your brother will be able to do those things without interfering with each other.

@icymuffin @yingtai @orderedchaos OK thanks! That's a bit annoying...mmmmmm do you guys know how these things work? Is my lap top hooked up to my IP adress or could I like move away and find another connection?

@chlojo It's there to prevent people from feeding creatures multiple times. Pretty reasonable once you think about it. 😋

If you connect to your own internet broadband at home, that broadband has a unique IP address. However, if you connect to another internet connection - say, a hotspot - then that will have a different IP address and you'll be able to feed again.

I live in two places so I can feed twice if I choose to as well. 😊

Some people have dynamic IP addresses where the IP address changes on its own at certain/random times. This does allow them to feed more than once.
