I need serious help for a project on Islam. ;-; I need to know the average age of a muslim and I need to know the different beliefs and practices of this religion in the different regions of the world, but I can't find any info on these things. D:

@newlife YES! *bows down to you* Lol. xD Urm... do the beliefs and practices in Islam change in some countries? Like are their things muslims do in America that they don't do in other countries? (Sorry for the weird questions. ^^" )

Well, not really. But it is a little different, because in Muslim countries, they say the call of prayer on a speaker throughout the entire city, but in America, they can't do that so they can only have the speaker in the Mosque.
Anything else?

There isn't really any average age o-o Where did that come from
But most of the men I've met are about 40-50, so I would say they live around to 70 ^-^

I'd stay it's rather the same. Just having a different religion doesn't often affect the age [Notice I said OFTEN]

@newlife Hm, true. o3o I guess it's more the average life of a muslim and a non-muslim person in the same country?

@newlife No, I don't think youquite understand what I mean. I would say that the average age of the people at my church is around 35. The average at a mosque or synagogue might be different as there might be more young people, or more older people. Do you see what I am saying?

Ah I see. But I've gone to Muslim countries, and I think my grandmother's age is about... I'm not sure.. 80? But anyways...

Besides, I think the average lifespan has dropped because of the war, killing people at young ages :c

What @boxofcrayons is trying to say here is that the average age of a group of people is what the usual age would be for this specific group. Like in math, when numbers even out to find the average - you add all the numbers up and divide by how many numbers you added together. Make sense?

So are y'all trying to find the average lifetime or average age? Because they're totally different things, and "average age" seems like the more likely to actually be part of what the project needs.

But there's another thing. "What is the average age of a Muslim?" is a very vague question - are you trying to find the average age of a new convert or...?
