Walking Your Dreams~

What if nightmares became part of reality?

Around the world, people have fallen victim to a new disease, still unknown to the public. Alongside those who have it, only oneirologists - dream scientists - are aware of this sickness. They are still struggling to find a cure, as those with the disease die after one year of having it. Only two symptoms are present; the first is a supernatural ability, each unique. The second is the power to enter the dreams of others. To do so, they simply place their fingers onto another person's head while they are asleep, allowing them to connect to their mind. However, there's a catch: they can get lost in dreams, trapped in a place that does not exist, and die within it.

You are the DreamWalkers.

Background: He was born in a house filled with stuck-up snobs, causing his to become one himself. He believed himself to be superior to everyone, and when he caught the disease he became a NightMare almost immediately. He felt that if he was going to die, he might as well do so after he had a little fun. However, after his family learned he had the disease they wanted nothing to do with him. He didn't care and thus became even more cruel and snobbier than ever.
Personality: He is a very horrible and mean person. He finds joy in others' misery and fear. That's why he became a NightMare, so that he could scare people in anyway possible. He is also snobby, believing he is the very best there is. He believes that no DreamWalker could ever defeat him. His ego is bigger than a fighter jet and he hates being insulted. When he is, he becomes rather mad and when he is mad, his ability often get's out of hand. He is also very vain, as he is often times caught staring at himself in the mirror.
Appearance: He has sandy-blonde hair that reaches just below his ears. It is evenly cut and he makes sure a single piece is never out of place. He has bright blue eyes, that are just made brighter because of his contacts. He has tanned skin and he has a couple freckles dotting his face. He is almost 6'1", standing at the average height for his age. He also almost always has a sneer on his face. He believes himself to be one of the most handsome guys ever, thanks to his vainess, though he really isn't that handsome. He often times wears a black t-shirt, blue jeans, a black and white Chucks.
Ability: He can create and control the wind though he can only do it when he is very focused. When he is angry his power get's out of control and he finds it hard to control.

Personality: Causes trouble by just /breathing/! Major troublemaker, rebel and total anarchist. Refuses solely to follow the issued rules, goes by his own standarts and therefore often resorts to violence when defending his opinion. Touchy about his pride, quick to get insulted by the smallest of jokes. Good natured by heart, however, though he does seem rather selfish. Justice-seeker, despite everything. Best labeled a rogue hero...? He likes to think of himself as one, at least. Quiet and introverted as well. His personality seemed ever-wavering.
Appearance: Tall (6'3) and muscular, therefore quite noticeable, but not only because of his superior height. Lean body and well-built chest, but otherwise slim, with a healthy tan. The most odd feature in him is the hair - dyed bright red in a neat buzz cut. This enables him to keep it neat and conveniently away from falling in front of his face or obscuring his vision. Original hair color - dark brown. Light brown eyes with an even lighter rimmed pupil, resembling caramel. Very gloomy looking and punk-ish. Dislikes all light colors and wears mostly black. A tattoo of a golden star graces his shoulder, rimmed black with the substantial inside of it being golden. Two piercings on his left ear.
Ability: Pyro psionic - only capable of controlling fire, but cannot produce it. He possesses a lighter to compensate with the lack of these skills, and without it, his powers are useless. Weaknesses include lack of control (hence his temper), limited time of use and heavy exhaustion after intense usage.

Other: FLAMES Carries a lighter at all times (it's old-looking and chipped, but he's grown fond of it), not only hence his need for it to use his powers. Being a pyro, he's naturally fond of fire and smoke and grew an unhealthy obsession with cigarettes. The name Reidis supposed to be pronounced Reed, but my Reid is pronounced like raid. Also, the name itself means red-haired and Jim preferrs to be called so instead of his plain name.

Background: Kat was raised in a a quiet family. She always told herself she was an only child because she had an older brother once, he was a Dreamwalker, but he was destroyed by a Nightmare. When her parents learned that she was also a Dreamwalker they became scared and became extremely overprotective of her, making it hard for her to leave the house without one of them coming along to make sure she was okay. This resulted into sneaking out a lot just to get any alone time.
Personality: She is fun-loving and very kind to everyone. She is typically a quiet person but at times she will joke around like any other teen her age. She can be bit ditsy at times, though if you can get her to focus she can be good help. She also grows distracted easily, even the smallest things catching her attention. She also notices a lot of things that others don't, and she is surprisingly athletic. She will often be seen taking a jog throughout the streets on a nice day.
Appearance: She has short, curly brown light brown hair, with dark brown hair on the tips. She is tan and looks like she spends a lot of time outside. With a rather strong appearance, thanks to the fact that she plays sports. She, however, doesn't look intimidating at all. She isn't very tall or very short, standing at about 5'5" at most. She has dark bluish-gray eyes and she usually wears skinny jeans, a dark blue t-shirt, and a black jacket with very big pockets. She wears her jacket almost everywhere in all weather and doesn't like it being taken from her for too long.
Ability: She has the power to control certain metals, mainly steal and iron. She also has to find medal, as she can't summon it. She also has to completely focus herself on that one task, which is hard for her.

Appearance: Has deep expressive blue eyes flecked with gold. Lean and only slightly muscled, he's more angular and chiseled than anything. His hair is dirty blonde and slightly curled, he keeps it medium-longish but not shoulder length. He wears jeans, laced-up manly combat boots, and a gray shirt that sets off his eyes. He's at 6'2 exactly, so he's not short nor tall.
Personality: Despite being a charmer and knowing it, he's really sweet and his friendliness is almost always genuine. Can be terrible if anyone messes with his twin sister. He is always trying to help and make your day. Gentlemanly, can have a dark side.
Ability: Can create illusions that are felt with all 5 senses, although illusions like that tire him.
Alliance: NightMares, was trapped then turned. Regrets it. Usually hangs out with the other DreamWalkers, (mostly Mariel) doesn't fit in with those of his kind. Ultimately good.

Appearance: Has the same eyes as her twin brother, except hers hold more depth and emotion. She is a petite 5'3 and often has to gaze upwards to those she is talking to. She has a halo of curls the same as her brother's, although hers reach her mid-back, and are slightly more golden-colored. Not plump but not skinny, she's very pretty. Beauty runs in the genes. She wears cardigans and tank tops with ripped jeans and combat boots, so nothing drab but nothing special. She likes it that way, not standing out.
Personality: She has a carefree act, all happy and laughing at everything, brining joy into the universe. Kind and good, it's hard NOT to trust or like her. She can see through many acts after years of watching Clive's girlfriends, and her flaw is that she believes she will always be second-rate to her brother, not that anyone knows that. Her cheery facade has become so much of her that it IS her now. She's really sweet and barely starts fights, and if she ever gets into one she'll always apologize first.
Ability: Can make plants grow/reverse the process. Quite good at it, although if it gets out of control the desired effect will be magnified.
Alliance: DreamWalkers.

Background: Levi was verbally and physically abused when she was younger by her birth mother, but was later removed from her home and placed with a very kind foster family she loves (though she'd never admit it) and is a pretty happy camper--for now.
Personality: Levi's usually a cold person, loves sarcasm and can be quite rude at times. She has a temper, but a soft spot for young children and people in bad places. She tries pretending not to care even though inside she does. Kindness is pretty rare, but will appear time to time. Levi doesn't necessarily want to hurt people, but when she's angry she loses her empathy and guilt, becoming a complete monster.
Appearance: A short, innocent looking girl with slightly wavvy, platinum blonde hair going down to her middle back and bangs that sweep across the right side of her forehead--though they don't cover her eye. In this case, alliance is referring to whether they're a nightmare or not. 😉 My character could be a DreamWalker, but help NightMares.

We are starting anew, but right after a DreamWalker meeting like when we left off, if that makes sense. ^^

She sort of holds touches the metal in her hand and she concentrates. She can think of a shape she wants it to become and it becomes that. However, she can only do so when her mind is empty of every other thought and sometimes when she gets excited or scared and she is touching metal her power will occasionally fire up.

Teiko has had the disease for four months, but she has not shared this knowledge with anyone. Instead, she makes effort to hide the fact that she is a DreamWalker. When she first received the disease, she deemed the only known cure to be impossible and became a NightMare, hoping it would help her find another one. She has traveled around the world in search of information that would help her. Teiko uses her power to manipulate dreams to create nightmares, aiming to find a cure.
Ability: She can lie/persuade.

When people first start roleplaying, they usually give their character an introduction and set the stage for the roleplay rather than start in the action. Though the chain of events will ultimately continue, not everything will be exactly the same due to this.

Personality: Trish is very smart and loves reading books and carrots. She doesn't care what others think of her. Her friends are all carrots; she doesn't bother making real friends. Because of this, Trish is anti-social, and people avoid her due to her obsession with carrots anyway. She is strong willed and determind. She has a hard time controlling her anger.. She solves all her problems with violence and is very independant.

Trish grew up with a burning passion for carrots. She also enjoys reading, and when not doing something involving carrots she is often found doing this. Trish lives alone with her carrots. Her parents moved away to Italy when she was two because they didn't like Trish's weird obsession over carrots. Since then, she lived in an orphanage until she was old enough to get a job, getting a carrot house. She skipped two grades of school. Trish does varying part-time jobs and sells carrot-related merchandise. In her free time, she grows carrots. After she found out she had this disease last week, she has been dedicated to find the cure and has been reading books more than ever to find it.
Ability: She can control carrots.
