This is cute!
We've never really had a hippo on this site xD
I like the second stage best, although the last stage looks a bit like the /real/ hippo, there should be something new and creative that adds into this and turns it into /Egg Cave/.
xD But generally I like it 😸

I saw the Zargon, it wasn't my favorite, sorry; there were so many unnecessary features to me that makes the creature looks like... a mess?...
But the Flub is cute 😸

Thanks for your comments. We thought about doing something special to it, but everything we drew didn't come across the way we wanted it. So, we just kept it as a simple hippo. We incorporated different colors, which was the main focus.

Yes, we sort of went overboard on the Zargon. xD

Very cute! I like the big eyes of the first evolution, and the general squishiness of the second. They could perhaps use some chubbier legs to hold all that adorable flubber up, but overall I think he's very cute.

We used grays, blues, browns, and purples to shade in the Flub. The picture quality is bad, so perhaps you can't see all the individual colors we blended together.

Thanks! We intended to create a cutesy creature, so that's great. We based the Flub off a particularly small hippo breed, which in fact, are characterized by their stubby legs. 😃

I keep coming back to look at it because I do like the Flub, haha. But I keep thinking the final stage looks too much like a real hippo, despite the colours. What would you say about putting little nubby horns on it to make it a Flub rather than Hippo?

Sorry it took me this long to reply, I was on a short vacation. Hmm.. Well, some creatures look like real animals so I don't think that's too much of an issue. That would be a possibility to enhance it. We didn't think too much about special features when drawing it because there aren't any hippo or hippo-related creatures on EggCave. We just did something different where we can introduce a new animal. 😊

Cute ^^ a little too like the hippo, but the Foo looks exactly like a fox, so I don't think it's an issue. Over-all it's adorable, I like it : )
