@ashfire you know about le bennet buggies don't ye?For those who don't, EXPLANATION:Back in the great depression, people had cars. I know amazing right. There wasn't enough money for gas so people took the engines off of their cars, rigged horses up to them, and called them bennet buggies.
Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 2:12 PM
@april__ Accepted. 😊 Would you like to be a mod since we don't got any yet?@dramatic We learned of them at the Galt right? The car they had to turn into carriages again because of the Great Depression and the prime minister had to take care of it but no, the people then disliked him and his lastname was Bennet so... ya. XD
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 2:24 PM
@ashfire I'm afraid I don't think I'd have enough time for something like that. But thanks anyway. ^^

april__ • 20 May 2013 at 2:30 PM
@ashfire That's cool. ^^ Western or English?
Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 2:33 PM
@april__It was mainly trail riding. I'm pretty sure it was Western.
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 2:36 PM
@ashfire That's awesome. I take people out on trail rides most weekends. ^^ This club has made me really want to get more horse creatures. XD

Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 3:30 PM
@april__ I'm gonna go trail riding when I go to Whitefish this year! 😃 I've ridden a horse before but only in circles in an enclosure. It could walk backwards on comand. It was a quarter horse. I miss Peppy D:.@ashfire Yes exactly. I also learned about it from our novel study.
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 3:31 PM
@dramatic That's pretty awesome. 😃 I'm actually training a girl today. She's a regular, and she wants to show jump. We've been starting small, but I think she's getting comfortable now! ^^

@dramatic@april__My horse I rid for horse riding, sadly had a place he always went to do his buisness on the trail. And, well he had to go while I was riding him.. D:
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 3:34 PM
@ashfire XD Well. I have a few different horses. Most of them are used for our trail rides.But I have a couple horses specific to certain competitions I do. This one horse I'm working with, (not mine but a clients) is very temperamental. He's fine to ride bareback but flips out about saddles. He'll let you put the saddle on but the second you mount him he starts to buck. He's quite a handful so far.

april__ • 20 May 2013 at 3:39 PM
@dramatic I do a lot of rodeos, but I also do show jumping. I have one horse for show jumping, using the English style.And another two I use for rodeos, depending on the events using the Western style. My love for horses kind of goes above and beyond. XD I've been riding for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so it was kind of a must do. XD
Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 3:42 PM
@april__ What is English and WEstern style? Please excuse my lack of knowledge. I have a book 100 facts oon hroses and ponies but it never said anything about that.
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 3:44 PM
@dramatic Ah, there's English riding and Western riding. There's differences in the tack and in some of the handling of the horses. http://horses.about.com/od/horsesportsexplained/p/engwestdiff.htmThat article does a good job of explaining. (=

@april__ I see now. Thanks!
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 3:48 PM
@dramatic No problem. 😃 Do you have a favourite type of horse?
Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 3:51 PM
@april__ Purebred pure black Arabians (pure black horses are very rare.) And rocky mountain ponies.Why Arabians: They're majestic and beautifulRocky mountain ponies: They're reccomended for young and/or inexpierenced riders due to their high tolerancy and patience and level, temperament and obidience.
april__ • 20 May 2013 at 3:52 PM
@dramatic Ah. I have a hard time thinking of a favourite. They're all so wonderful in their own way. I've always found Arabians beautiful though.
Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 3:55 PM
@april__ I know. Horses are all so awesome.
Deleted • 20 May 2013 at 3:57 PM
@dramatic@april__Mine would have to be a Appaloosa/Mustang/ or Saddlebred.
