@april__ \o/ Yay! 😋 I do know the basics, I guess. Like LARPing. Which I would totally do, if for nothing else than to make myself look like an idiot. (No offense to you LARPers out there. Or people who cosplay. I think people look funny when they do it. But it's still really fun. Kind of like those 'pretend games' I'd play as a kid.) Or cosplay. Like Halloween! Cosplay's ok, but I do see some really creepy costumes sometimes.. O_o And that's about it. XD

@ems I used to be so embarrassed about my love for roleplaying in any way. I've sort of out grown that now. I like escaping into another world for awhile, another reality. Sometimes it's like an escape and it's nice to get away and live through someone else for a bit. ^^

@April__If only @Chapus2009 would post in The Colony RP.... *Exaggerated sigh*Yep. What with everybody finishing school and such, it's hard to find anybody to talk to... And I was one of the first people to get out, so it's been extra hard for me. I got out on May 21st, so I've been out for nearly a month, and everything's so quiet.... I miss the time when I'd get pinged repeatedly and have people to talk with. I suppose I could post in Survivial, though.

@whitefire I've never done PnP. But LARP stands for Live Action Roleplay. It's really quite a lot of information to fit into a post. I tried, but... Live action roleplaying! XP

@April__So a bit like Cosplay? I used to do that with my neighbor. But then she turned nasty, and we can't hang out anymore, and all that. 'Cept I guess it doesn't matter, because I'm so unoriginal with names and I kept reusing names with different concepts and it got really annoying eventually. All of my good characters didn't come up until I joined EggCave, but I'm still no good at naming characters.

@orderedchaosI've seen people that reuse characters for many RPs and other people that refuse to use a particular character for more than one claiming it to be "cheating". I'm not sure if it's common or uncommon.

@orderedchaos Hm. To answer your question, I think it depends on the level of the RPer if they reuse or create different characters for each RP.What I mean by that is that sometimes new, young, or lazy RPers tend to reuse the same character and simply change certain attributes to fit the RP. They may reuse characters because they like that character A LOT, make it a "self-insert" of themselves, or are simply too lazy to make a whole new character for said RP.I find many young RPers do this. xDOlder RPers, like 18+ years old, are able to make characters with different personalities and such at the drop of a hat. Basically, I guess the more experience you have with RPing the less likely you'll tend to reuse characters. It is common here on Eggcave because a lot of people are very young on here~! However, it is not very common in other online RPs, especially ones that are very serious.Hope that makes sense! 😊

Likewise, I use Umberisk, Cecelia, and Shira. Featherstar uses Tusami and Ryan quite a bit as well. I reuse my characters not because I can't dream up different personalities, but because I find it hard to name them. All I can usually come up with wouldn't sound good at all in a name. Actually, it's more of nonsense than anything else. Anyways, yes, it is a common practice, but everybody has different reasons.

Probably Intermediate, I've created several popular roleplays, though they all died down after a while.Tell us about one of your characters: Alright, well my absolute faves{I can't decide between two} ar Syvara and Tigerlily. Syvara is from my very first RP, Life As We Knew It, she has dirty blonde hair that falls down to slightly more than her shoulders in a wavy fashion, and she is 26(human years). She is from the neighboring planet, Pandora, a land of excitement and...Yeah I shall stop now. Tigerlily here also has blonde hair that is curly and she is from Miami, I think she is around 18-19ish, and she loves surfing the waves and riding in on the action, though her life is a mess.Favourite type of roleplay: Human, fiction-fantasy as in sort of sic-fi, but not the kind that carries you away. So I went to a NERO event this past weekend. It was quite fun to have my character, Adalon, running around in a new land. So here's some of what happened at the event. Apparently the town is caught between two powerful undead factions, The Duke (a powerful litch) and the Banshee Queen. So there were lots of zombies attacking the tavern on the first night. The next day it was a mix of zombies and werewolves, the Banshee faction having allied themselves with a powerful werewolf. About 90% of the PC's (player characters) got bitten and cursed with lycanthropy, including myself. Poor Adalon was not happy about growing fur. Most people got themselves uncursed before we ran into the big werewolf again during the attempt to stop a ritual that would give a lot of power to the Banshee Queen, however I didn't so I ended up transforming and then getting imprisoned while everyone else went to stop the ritual. Thankfully that ended up getting rid of my curse so I transformed back.I participated on some other interesting mods, one of which had some drake/snake/lizard things that invited me to come visit them in the future. All in all it was a great weekend.

@April__What you like to be called: Whitescales, White, I really don't care 😋How long you've been roleplaying: I've RP'd online for almost 2 years now with my first appearance being on Eggcave. But I really got started when my younger brother and I still played with toys. We made our own world and followed the same plot line for months on end. This usually left my room looking like a bomb hit the toy box but our mother eventually got used to the mess consisting of lego buildings, an old Megablox castle and figurines from Digimon, Pokemon and Neopets to Beanie Babies. I think my favorite part was creating characters out of my brothers spare Bionicle parts. I would give them all sorts of weapons and associate special powers with odd colored pieces. Most of the characters I use today are from this imaginary world of my childhood. I do tweak some from time to time and use some characters that were often played by my brother in online roleplays but I try to stay as true to my memory of their unique personalities as possible.Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced? I'd say that I tend to sit somewhere between Intermediate and Advanced depending on how lazy I feel when the time comes to post a reply. I've been really, really lazy as of late.Tell us about one of your characters: Oh who do I start with?! I have so many characters that I sometimes have trouble remembering them all. I'd have to say that my main ones are BL, Prelue and Bentley. Almost all of my characters are from the same world and were thought up and given life in my earlier years (say about 8-14). The one I could say holds in a special place in my heart has to be BL the wolf. If I could describe her in one word it'd have to be, crazy. She is the rather awkward result of a hybrid pairing of a tall, elegant desert dwelling mother and a fluffy bear-like father that hales from the blistering cold north. She inherited her mothers lanky frame and large ears and her fathers thick furred tail, short stature and worst of all, bushy whiskers. She learned early on that her odd features attracted the wrong sort of attention when other pups took turns nipping at her over-sized ears while chanting 'Batty' at her. As she grew older she got into more scuffles with said taunters and eventually got into setting up elaborate pranks as revenge. Her signature prank has always been setting off explosives in bathroom stalls while an enemy sits on a neighboring toilet. Of course it's never anything that could seriously injure someone, a fire cracker here and there maybe a cherry bomb in an empty toilet just for giggles but no matter what she does she always finds herself in trouble with authority. Her home life is strained at best with an older brother that hates her and a younger (yet more mature) sister that tends to stay far away from her antics. Her parents had long since given up trying to control her and her siblings and just try to focus on making sure the three don't kill each other. She is a loner that oftentimes mingles with others just to tease or trick them, even though all she really wants is a companion that understands her on a deeper level than most. Once she does find someone she connects with however, she becomes more of a protector/court jester than a raging delinquent. Although her temper tends to be short lived, when pushed far enough BL loses all sense of control and lets her rage drive her actions. BL is also blessed with a connection to the element of Fire and keeper of the Lava Shard. She often makes magma appear out of the ground or fire gout from thin air but perhaps as a result of her unpredictable personality she often loses herself in the power. Oh yeah, you'll never see her here on EC because she swears like a sailor. I tried breaking her of it but it just never worked. Oh well...Favourite type of roleplay: I'll have a large order of Fantasy with a bit of Sci-Fi on the side. Oh and make that extra magical. 😋A bit about yourself: I'm 19 turning 20 in three months but I really don't act it. Well, online I don't at least. Reading, drawing, writing, making sculptures and doting on my two pet rats are just some things you could find me doing, if you found me at all. I'm so quiet that people tend to forget that I'm still lurking in the area. It's hilarious to see someone jump when they see me for the first time even though I've been standing in the same spot for over an hour. It's just the little things in life... :]

@Orderedchaos That sounds like so much fun! 😱 If you don't mind my asking, how often do you get to participate in such events? @whitescales I'm about to update all the new members. (Finally. I've been busy) And hooray! I'm 19 turning 20 in November. I definitely don't act it most of the time. BL sounds really interesting! And I definitely agree, fantasty/sci-fi is the way to go. @gwaine Not at all required! I don't do roleplays on Egg Cave. (= And roleplaying isn't just limited to the writing kind. So feel free to join! -everyone I'd kind of like to do some sort of cash shop monthly give away. But I'm not sure what kind of activity to do. I was thinking just a simple raffle but I'm not sure, if anyone has any ideas... >_>

Sorry! 😸What you like to be called: GwaineHow long you've been roleplaying: 4 to 5 yearsBeginner, Intermediate or Advanced: I would say maybe in the middle in Intermediate to Advance, but maybe leaning a bit more to the Advance side.Tell us about one of your characters: Keith Fynn is a very uproarious fellow who won't ever turn down a challenge/dare. He is one for bets and will do anything no matter how ridiculous it is. He loves to laugh and makes others laugh. His hair is one of his greatest attributes he thinks. He is lanky and medium height. He also has a bit of a temper, but only to those who greatly make him mad. He is quite sweet, but not very lucky with the ladies. He is 16. I normally play him as a human. ^^Favourite type of roleplay: Hogwarts, Wolves, Dragons, Medieval, and Gifted. Although, I am really open to anything ;DA bit about yourself: Uhm. I watch A LOT of TV. I love to write. I have obsessions over many different things. And I am always open to chat!

I'm always happy to see characters that stray away from the dark/depressed/cold due to their abundance of emotions.../tragic past sort of style that's quite common lately. I've been working at a male character for a roleplay a fwe of my friends participate in. I always seem to write my male characters out of roleplays. I intend to have this one stick around. 😋

@april__He actually has a lot more depth. xD He has a troubled family, but he doesn't let it affect him. 😋 I actually only have ever played him on my Harry Potter Marauder Era site. I have a bunch more on there, but I decided to just choose him 😃I am glad you like him though!! He gives me joy to play him. And trust me I know what you mean. On the site I am on we get apps with all kinds of tragic characters and we kind of lol about it because they don't always need to be like that!!!That's cool! I love male characters the most. I sometimes play female but ever so rarely. What kind of roleplay is he for?
