This happened to me a couple of days ago on my laptop.
I have had problems in my past with my laptop not performing things correctly so I just that it was that until I saw this topic.

1. I tried on Firefox and Google Chrome on my Windows 7 PC laptop.
2. Not sure. Early evening sometime.
3. My first.
4. Clicked Cave. Clicked egg. Hit approach button. Nothing happened. I got no popup or error message or anything. Hit approach button again and still nothing happened.
5. I am not sure. I am pretty sure I just closed out of the browser and switched to the other on without checking.

@qaz No, I meant clear your cache and cookies then go back to the cave and see if it still says 1/10.

Do you still have a steal limit (even though it stays at 1/10) or is it unlimited afterwards? (If it's the latter, don't abuse the glitch. 😉)

@lchen888 Same as above.

@fallenangel1550 Try pasting your browser's properties from whatismybrowser.com.

It's not really all too helpful because the last question isn't answered fully but if it happens again, make sure to keep the page open to note down everything. 😋

1. Chose an egg to try and steal
2. Instead of egg, this message pops up:
"An Error Was Encountered

The details of this error have been sent to the Egg Cave staff. No need to report this!

This error will be fixed shortly by the Egg Cave staff.
We apologize for the inconvenience."


5. Did you Cave attempts increase by +1 when the pop up didn't come up? Or no? yes, I cannot try anymore today.




With the message saying the issue was already being dealt with and that there was no need to report this, I just came here to ask an estimate about how long do you think it'll take for a resolve? I am NOT trying to rush, but also for those of us having this issue, we are missing out on days to get the monthlies. ☹️ Which I also am sure your already aware of, just, its just frustrating, and a time estimate might help some of us deal with the frustration a bit easier(if I'm not the ONLY one have this specific issue...I don't know). Thanks so much for working on this ❤️

Oh, also this is not the first time this has happened, only the first time I documented it. This has happened throughout last month as well. (I can't quite remember exactly when it started)

Hmm.. never happens to me.. I don't have Java installed, is there anyone who does not have java but still has this issue?

4. I went to the cave and selected the far right egg, an attempt was added but no egg window appeared. I tried four more times (3 with the same egg, 1 with the one next to it) but still nothing. I left the cave and came back a few minutes later and tried each each once with my remaining 5. No message window for any of them.

5. Yep, each time. I'm not sure if it would let me have any more attempts after I'd 'taken' my 10.

4. I clicked an egg, and when I did a pop up of the egg didn't show up and it increased my cave attempts by 1 each time.
5. It increased my attempts by 1 each time it happened~

2. Not really an exact time, it happens any time I try to "approach egg"

4. I can't approach the eggs, I can click on the black eggs it shows but when I hit the button to "approach egg" it doesn't work to show me the egg I clicked for me to try and steal it.

5. no it didn't its still set at 0/10 no matter how many times I try

4. I clicked my first egg when another window popped up unexpectedly. normally if this happens I just click back and the egg thing is there, but today I immediately minimized the other window and the egg thing flickered before going away completely.
5. yes it increased by 1 attempt (so I had a total of 9 egg attempts vs the usual 10)

Other info: Im unable to update my java due to my computer being a butt, but its never caused problems before so I doubt its java

Something similar is happing to me.
I am forced to use Opera
whenever I choose an egg and click 'approch egg' it does nothing
However, the trys don't add +1
