UPCOMING ECN FEATURE: My Wishlists

Ever get tired of repeatedly having to write down a long list of creatures you're looking for or getting bombarded by users with countless offers? Egg Cavern is planning on releasing a new department appropriately named My Wishlists, to help you out. 😊

It's what it sounds like: a custom wishlist generator for Egg Cave users! You'll be able to specify creatures (and specific evolutions) that you're looking to own. Additionally, you can make specific wishlists for certain situations. Imagine you have an egg up for trade: you can make a wishlist of creatures that you'd be willing to trade for it! All you have to do then is post the url of your generated wishlist on the forums or on your profile.

We hope this sounds like a useful feature. The reason we're making this post is not only to get you excited for it, but also to ask for your help. In order to make this as useful as possible, is there anything in particular that'd you'd like to see in a wishlist generator? Let us know your suggestions!

Along with adding genders like Immortalraven suggested, perhaps there could also be something to indicate wanting a frozen creature?

I think adding a scale from 1-5 or 1-10 indicating how much a person wants a creature would be useful, or maybe saying which creature on their wishlist is their top priority at the moment.

@faybaybay Good suggestion; right now, users have the ability to order their lists as well as leave notes for each wishlist. We did this with the intention of allowing users to order their list in terms of priority.

@tikimaki The wishlist tool will be on Egg Cavern so if you have an account there for the COTW or click exchange, you'll be all set. You need an account to create wishlists but people can view them without being signed in.

Awesome! 😊 I can't wait until the feature's up and ready for everyone to use. I was actually just thinking about copy + pasting creature images into a little collage to show my wishlist this morning, haha.

i think like showing achieved wishlist creatures and dates would be very useful too for us to keep track of 😊

maybe adding the type of travel we're looking for too would help?
like you're trading a creature with a retired or just released travel, and you want the same travel as a replacement, ya know?

The base functionality was finished yesterday. However, we'll still actively be working to improve the wishlists as well as adding new features. So I guess this can be considered an open beta period.

I am unable to choose an evolution stage; is this a bug or am I the only person experiencing this problem?

It's just not letting me do it. I cleared my history as well, and it still didn't work. I contacted the staff about it, though, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I don't know if you guys did. But if you submit a bug report, I think it'd be helpful to include your browser and such. ^^

I did send in a bug report, and it's only on my computer that I have a problem. It works just fine on my iPad, where I use Safari.

Anyway, this is great, my list is number 43 😸

@meteoroid Your list is number 1, congratulations, but you put asteroid creatures = Tenalp, Pareteorsite and Storticai - you have all! Why you put only on Storticai to you have it? x3
Anyway, you get great number, #1 😃

[Cool. very useful. Hopefully it won't get too unwieldy if you add genders and travels and freezes. ]
