I hope it's not too late for an August creature suggestion, but here it is, the Jat! Plz tell me wat you think about it. =3

Egg description: This egg has strange lightning-like marks on it.

Creature description: The Jat is a shy creature, usually hiding in coral reefs and under rocks in the water. Jats will often light up the spikes on their back, meaning they are telling pretators to stay away. Don't come near Jats when they do this, the spikes hurt if you touch them! Depending on the shade of the spikes, this may be a signal searching for a mate as well. Male Jats tend to brighten their spikes more than females.

@rottweiler88 I like it, but it's very simple. Even the second stage and third stage look too much alike, they're just flipped. But it's very neat 😊

It's cute but the evolved and last stage are too similar. Perhaps change it slightly?
