Creature Suggestion: Aesetiam (Must see!! <3)

Okay!

So...I saw that we have dragons, unicorns, and other mythical creatures on Eggcave, but realized that we never had a mermaid creature suggestion~! 8D

And I took it upon myself to make one! Woot! Woot!

Introducing...the Aesetiam a beautiful mermaid creature found deep in the oceans of ark!! 😊

The name Aesetiam was formed from the words cute, sea, and maiden; spelled backwards and then bits and pieces of the word was taken to create the final name.

Due to some user suggestions about the creature I decided to fix some things in version two! ;3 Tell me which version you like better!

As said in that description, this took me around 5 -6 hours and I used a mouse. THAT. TAIL. TOOK. FOREVER!! D:<

That's lovely, and well done on using a mouse for art! It can be rough. I'd wonder how well the details would shrink down to the 90px level, but I do love the egg.

Ok, enough with oohs and aahs, moving on the not-so-harsh-criticism xD
... Mhmm, I wonder if human-like (for got the noun for this word xD) creatures are allowed to be in EC, I mean, Aosidhe, isn't really a human-being, just a statue I guess! xD
I'd love to see the description of this creature! 😸
Also, the egg stage is kinda... unrelated to the last one, I can only see a tiny little crab on the mermaid's tail in the last stage o_O So, I think a redraw on the egg stage would be nice?...

I don't know! xD I JUST LOVE THE ART SO MUCH 😸

Very beautiful well done!!

I'm not sure Eggcave (if they were to use the design) would make it so human looking, but the inspiration for them is definitely there. I LOVE the egg. Just love, love it. With the net and everything WOW. I can most certainly see potential for a creature out of this! Again, a job well done!

And a big extra pat on the back for the tail! I'm an artist myself and the details I can imagine took forever, so great job 😊

As many people have said before, they were worried about a creature being too human-like, but I'd like to point out that the Engel looks exactly LIKE a human...except it has wings and a halo. o.o At least the mermaid doesn't have feet. xD

Ian's artists can always de-humanize it if they wish. ;3

My plan for the egg stage was to have...stuff found in the sea around/on it and the egg itself pure purple, like an embryo. I sorta get tired of having eggs that have "stuff on the shell" all the time, but I'll take into consideration that it doesn't really look like the mermaid! 😊

As I said before, Ian has made the Engel and that's practically a human. I was like you and was worried about it being "too human" but I knew they had the Engel so I figured I would try this. Some people like it and others hate it, it's all with personal opinion that I'm open to.

My sister said it should be a CC creature as well, but I'm not sure. I certainly hope it does get made, as I think that both stages are amazing~ 😊

Ah, I see, nicely said!
Engel doesn't look /exactly/ like a human-being to me, though! xD
It looks more like an... elf? xD
But I can't imagine what would happen if the artists de-humanize your creature D: I mean, I wouldn't want it to look like a dugong (dugongs used to be mistaken as mermaids) xD
Oh and you don't have to put stuffs such as seaweeds/corals/shells onto the egg, true that it will look extremely messy! xD However, you could always draw in some patterns, like vines, or swirls or something! xD

Oh cool xD This looks better, Espeon was my first thought because it was too purple, but overall, I like that you changed it up and made it look alike a creature, rather than a regular human-like mermaid ^^

It's lookds great to be honest, but I don't really like the the idea of humanoid creatures on eggcave. Most of our artworks are based on animals or just fantasized. But the art it's self is amazing 😊

Thank you! Yea, it all depends on opinion and what people like~ I realize most of the people on eggcave like horses, wolves, foxes, and big cats, like tigers, lions, etc, so I went out on a limb to see how this creatire suggestion would do. 😊

Haha, thank you! I figured there would be some people who like mermaids on here because I often have to draw them when I facepaint young children. I, myself, am not a "die hard" mermaid fan, but I do find them pretty! Thanks for commenting! 😸
