I got 10 different eggs...really 11, because after it took me to one egg's profile that I stole, I just pushed the back button and it didn't add the number (I think).

And this means no more overnight method then, since you can only see 10 eggs.

But that also brought a question to mind: Will Mos now appear as Mos again and not be disguised?

I dunno if this is good since without the overnight method, some users may resort to using multiple accounts

Plus, we already have dozens of "common" eggs in the cave so it's already hard enough finding the LE eggs...

Yeah, it was fine not being able to overnight back when there were only like 30 eggs, but now there are a 40+ and I honest to god NEVER find the LE eggs within ten tries. I like that it says how many tries you've had, but I think that the cave functionality should be about the same as it was in V1

i think its awesome that we dont have the overnight! that way there will be less eggs in circulation making it rarer 😸

Without being able to search after the first 10 attemps, it'll be horrible trying to TRADE for LE's. People ask for crazy things like Onnies, and it just makes the trading impossible.

I know this is off topic as it's not to do with the cave directly, but at the beginning of egg cave users used to give away any extra's they find in the cave to good homes. With the input of a trading system, this has turned into a place for greediness.
I'm not saying trading is bad, I'm just saying it's turned extreme. And without an overnight method, things will get horrible for honest users who are having trouble with their luck in the cave.

@Elluwah I know! I may be a May 2010 user but that just sounds sad ☹️ I donated many of my leftovers from some of the past events to the Missed Critters thing

I like the idea of no overnight method, but I do think Ian should raise the 10 egg limit to 25 or so tries a day. 😊

@Joy I definitely agree with that idea. 😊

We'd be able to cope so much better with a raised steal attempt limit. 10 tries doesn't seem enough with the amount of eggs these days. Especially when multiple eggs are released at an event instead of just one.

in what way does the new version of the Cave ruin the overnight method? at 12:00 am ECT, steal attempts reset, just like version 1 of the Cave. the functionality is virtually identical, except there's a different interface now.

we are open to suggestions.

In v1 we can search through eggs limitlessly (not really a word...) until we find the one we're searching for and then wait until Midnight to steal it. In v2's cave, you can't see any eggs after the 10th, so if you don't find it then, you can't overnight it.

I really enjoy the overnight method for when I'm not having any luck, but if we can't see an unlimited amount of eggs, then raising the steal attempts a bit would be fine, too. With so many different species now, 10 is a big press of luck is all.

I suppose we kind of took the whole "limitless egg searching" to our advantage and it's not supposed to be how we obtain eggs, but many people (myself included, I admit) just got used to looking after the first 10 steals to find the egg they were wanting.

Like others said before, most of us used the overnight method to find the LE eggs, since with only 10 attempts it was way too hard to find any (probably due to high amounts of other eggs)
And then there's always multiple LE eggs at once making it even harder...

A lot of users might 1) turn to side accounts in desperation or 2) get frustrated and quit. Then in the Trading Center, more and more side accounts would show up & more nonside users would trade with them if they can't find any in the cave... I mean, there's already users doing this. Without the overnighting method, it's definately going to get much worse.

I don't want to complain though. I do think raising the limit could work, but I still think keeping the cave as it was might be better.

The only way I've been able to even get the St. Patrick's Day cave eggs is by trading or overnighting, I can't find them in the cave in my first 10 tries no matter what. /=

When it was first released, users who got only one egg were mostly using IE.
