Name: NostromoGender: MaleAge: Unknown (although he's roughly 18)Appearance: Height of 6'5, usually standing out from the crowd (if he would ever stand being around people...) with his thin frame and slender limbs. A foreign hue of white-gray paints his drab skin, making him seem outwardly dead. Eyes are a dark hue of yellow, also seeming muddy and clouded, without any pupils whatsoever. His fingertips are a darker color, finishing with short obsidian-colored nails, matching his black hair. His body is speckled with ancient runes, painted permanently into his arms, legs, his neck and chest. On the very top of his forehead is set a large dot, descending downwards into smaller and smaller dots, all a blood red color.Personality: Surprisingly calm for a person who lives in the Fortress of Darkness. He is polite and gentle, made of foolish kindness and shy smiles despite the land that he inhabits. He cannot be classified as 'evil' nor bad in any way, but the darkness stored in his soul is gradually dementing him and darkening his spirit despite his fervent sruggles to remain good.Element: Darkness.Other: I don't remember what I was supposed to put here and after that post, I don't even care... about like... anything. *dies*

@jupiter_hollowI refuse to post anymore or write at all in my life due to complete and utter shock and amazement and realization that I will never, ever be able to write that well. *dies*I frigging love you. @skittlejgI reallllllly want to change my characters' last names to something of actual Avatar time, but I have no good ideas. Do you have any?? I feel stupid for giving them Disney last names.... 😋
cirrus • 5 October 2013 at 10:22 PM
@inkstep Oh, okay. 😊 😋 Well I'm sorry, but I can't accept your form yet because:1) You must not have read the rules, or else you would know to put a certain something somewhere.2) You didn't PM me a sample of your writing.Sorry to accuse you of not reading the rules, you may have and just forgotten, but either way...Edit: @skylarkI'll look up some ideas. 😋
jupiter_hollow • 5 October 2013 at 10:29 PM
@skylark Please don't say that, because it's not true. I refuse to write anything after this as well. Cuz I just give up. My brain got fried. I'm a caveman now.I caveman! I eat grass. Omnomnom
cirrus • 5 October 2013 at 10:33 PM
@skylark Wait, do you want their last names to be changed or their first, because I think their first names are fine, and almost no character's last name is said in the Avatar world, so you don't really even need last names, and therefore, I think your fine. 😃
skylark • 5 October 2013 at 10:53 PM
@jupiter_hollowAhhhhhhh but I did. YOU'RE A GREAT WRITERAnd that post was awesome. @skittlejgYeah, their last names. Oh, really?? I was so afraid I kinda failed in that respect. Alright, fair enough! And all the kiddos that were pulled into the spiritworld are Powerchildren? If so, do they know?
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 3:05 PM
@skylark Wait, what kinda surnames are there in the AtLA? o.o
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 3:11 PM
@jupiter_hollow Beifong, and I think that's it. 😋
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 3:16 PM
@skittlejg Seriously? XDDD Then Scrivee is a plausible one? =P And I feel like making a surname for Nostromo but mleh, later.
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 3:34 PM
@jupiter_hollow Yea, that's fine, they probably won't even say them. Is your internet still acting up?
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 4:40 PM
@skittlejg Evidently xD Also, we should wait for the others to post =P
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 4:47 PM
@jupiter_hollow Ugh, I hate waiting...@ashfire@tralala22@ems@dada_dragon@skylarkAnyone want to post and end my suffering? xD
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 5:30 PM
@skittlejg Dude, if you want, we can pass time by discussing future stuff. xD
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 5:32 PM
@jupiter_hollow Okay, good, because I'm at a loss for the next chapter...
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 5:36 PM
@skittlejg What's the next chapter about? The thing with the Ice Kingdom and Water Nation, right? =P
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 5:40 PM
@jupiter_hollow Well, I'd assume there would be some episodes about them getting to the Ice Kingdom and Water Tribe. Have you seen AtLA, more than half the episodes are about what they do on the way to wherever.I wasn't planning on having a bunch of them be about that, but if I want this RP to have at least 20 chapters, I think we'll need a few of them like that, just about them travelling and stopping at places. 😃
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 5:55 PM
@skittlejg Hrm... I've never seen AtLA though xD That's why I was initially confused about the spirit world. I hope I did the transportation right although I don't think so...Anyways! In my opinion, we can create new places ourselves! And also I had this idea... erm, if the Power Children keep increasing numbers, I have to change a lot of posts to fit canon. Like, for instance Nostromo transporting them into the Spirit world, I have to add sections for the new children. And in general, having to pretend that the new power children were with them all along is dumb. And making them join later on is illogical. So maybe close off the Power Children places (unless a great roleplayer comes along and wants to be a power child).Because, the Midnight sun can take a few normal elementals with them, right? =3they can pick up different people from different places, we can create different locations, all that. I think this would be a roleplay that would require a lot of creating since we're building a partially new universe here. Okay well... not exactly new, but we're changing it.
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 6:10 PM
@jupiter_hollow I'd say we're creating a new universe. A lot of the parts are from a different one, but it's so different it's not the same.I think you did the spirit world thing fine. In AtLA, only the Avatar can go into the spirit world, and it's kind of similar, although I don't think it's as painful as we made it be. This is different though, and I imagined it being painful for the Power Children, especially for their first time. But I was thinking, Nostromo couldn't have pulled every Power Child into the spirit world, could he? So maybe, he just he just tried places that he knew Power Children were. He had heard of the Power Children from all our places, and pulled them in. Or maybe he just didn't have time to pull in others. I don't know. We can decide if/when another RPer comes along.Yea, but maybe they would pick up people that aren't controlled by any one person, because if so, every person in this RP would have to have like five people, and that's too many for me.Also, they don't have to add everyone they meet to their team. For example in AtLA, on the Day of Black Sun, when they invaded the Fire Nation, they sent for a bunch of the people they had met to join their "army", but most of those people never were a part of their group, they only helped during that one invasion. And then one person they met, and she joined their group later on when they met again. However, in AtLA, in the end, it was really only the six of them.
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 6:21 PM
@skittlejgAlright then. i'm not familiar with anything in general, so I'm just using my imagination, not my knowledge.Yeah, i don't know, I waited for you to take the lead and narrate what was gonn happen to the power children after I posted Nostromo's part. But yeah, he definitelly didn't pull all of them. Just followed the familiar links and there were eleven of them that he distinguished. He'll be with them along the way and advise them and such [yeep]. I'm thinking maybe, what with his spirit being bound to the Power Children, Nostromo would have a hard time returning to his body, because doing so stretches the links painfully. So he'd remain with them, maybe appearing in one's dreams and all that.I have another character in the Fortress of darkness, but she's not a power child. She's not even an elemental, but she has a strong personality, so I'm still pondering whether or not to make her join the crew. Of course, that would happen AFTER the Power Children reach the Fortress and release the keepers from their bindings.'Course they won't be taking everybody. Like I said, they'd pick up random people. Some Power children, some elementals, some powerless and all that. So.... yeah xDBut I really like how this roleplay is branching out. Maybe I should watch AtLA at last xD
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 6:38 PM
@jupiter_hollow You DEFINITELY should. I can't believe you haven't seen it!! It's my favorite show. 😃 The Legend of Korra is a spin-off of the show. She's the Avatar after Aang, who is the main character of AtLA. As you can tell by my status, I just found out season two had already started without my knowing. So as I said, I'm going to be adding places to the map I created as the story goes along, so I might create a version showing where they stop on their way to the North Pole. And sure, you can do that with Nostromo if you want, and if you make another darkness character, they probably wouldn't meet her until Book 3.
jupiter_hollow • 6 October 2013 at 6:53 PM
@skittlejg That much I know. Legend of Korra and all. But I haven't actually watched the thing, though I do know what it's about xDAnd I'm gonna do that with Nostromo, so he could be their link to the happenings in the Fortress of Darkness. He'd be switching between his body and the mind connection to them , existing like something of a spirit and that way could be their inside man. For instance at one point, the Emperor would find out about the Midnight Sun and send troops after them. Y'know, all that jazz.Ah, Erin's not that important for now. But maybe that'll change until the 3rd book =P
cirrus • 6 October 2013 at 7:02 PM
@jupiter_hollow Okay. Here is a super secret map that nobody but I have seen:https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-gI8jszK8tN0/UlHqQK5zwlI/AAAAAAAAADc/In1Q8IW3kAc/s720/World%20Map%20with%20Location%20Part%201.jpgThe dots that start on the Western Air Temple, and go up to somewhere near the Northern Air Temple are going to be the first half of Book 1. The other half will be them at the North Pole, either the Northern Water Tribe, the Ice Kingdom Capitol, or somewhere in between. As you can see, I have names for some of the places. Anyway, I haven't thought about the Air Nomads, but should they stay neutral throughout the war, or maybe in Book 2 or 3, they get attacked, and join the Midnight Sun?
jupiter_hollow • 7 October 2013 at 10:07 AM
@skittlejg Erm, they may have to go around the Territory of Darkness, 'cause dangerous creatures.
cirrus • 7 October 2013 at 5:38 PM
@jupiter_hollow Okay, I guess I'll change that. I'm also going to add a chapter where they go to the Northern Air Temple.
jupiter_hollow • 9 October 2013 at 9:51 AM
@skittlejg @dada_dragon @ems @skylark @ashfireGuys! I forgot to mention something xD In my last post, the one when Nostromo disappears, he mentioned all of the Power Children lacking a link that would make them stronger when made. The link is built through trust, reliance and friendship, love as well (platonic or otherwise). So I don't know if we're going to use this idea, but I dove a bit in depth with the link deal. When Nostromo connected to the Power Children (initiated the link), he felt a power surge. Now, I had an idea that when two Power Children make a connection, they make each other stronger. The first time they connect, the other's power will rush through them painfully and they would feel burdened but this effects wears off. Deal is - they'd feel much more powerful. And upon close proximity or contact, they would be able to share energy. Also, for elementals of the same nation - they'd be able to link their powers, one fueling the other while in battle. As for the powerless, well I have this idea. And don't kill me for this! XDAn elemental's body is fueled by their respectful element. The element is a true part of their being and overwhelms them at times. Isak for instance can't control his electricity, cuz it's a pesky little element - all wild and free y'know xD But the body of a powerless human is lighter, empty, not filled with the power that an elemental possesses. And I was thinking, perhaps when a link (a deep link) between a powerless and an elemental is initiated, the elemental could somehow transfer part of their element into the human's body. It would happen through contact and an intense bond. The human would work as a conduit, the energy of the elemental practically 'seeping' into him/her. Needless to say, it'd be initially painful, mainly to the human, because the burden would be immense, but still, it provides them with power and it becomes more natural after the first few times it's done. =P So the human's body would work like a storage for power, that she or he can use freely (but I suppose with some limitations...)Tell me what you guys think and if you have any more ideas.
dada_dragon • 9 October 2013 at 11:06 AM
It's a fascinating concept. I'm game.@jupiter_hollow
skylark • 9 October 2013 at 12:51 PM
@jupiter_hollowDANG GURL. That is so awesome. Those are great ideas!
jupiter_hollow • 9 October 2013 at 2:02 PM
@dada_dragon @skylark >///< Thanks guys! So an ideas, concepts, new things anyone wants to add! 'Cause we've made it clear that we can create new places and all that jazz =3I've also begun thinking of most probably links that Isak could make. xD I have way too much time now that I'm sick .-.
dada_dragon • 9 October 2013 at 3:47 PM
@jupiter_hollow No ideas come to mind right now, but we'll see. 😸It's fun playing with the relationship between Ethan and Aykay in a different setting than LR.
jupiter_hollow • 9 October 2013 at 3:50 PM
@dada_dragonYou actually surprised me now =O 'Cause Ethan's the more gentle, more subtle of the two. And Aykay's the straight-forward, rude one, who often snaps at their sibling. And she's more arrogant than usual. I'm curious how this will turn out. Also, when I was writing the powerless thingie, I had exactly these two in mind xD Poor Ethan thinks he's uselessIsak: It's okay, friend. *hugs Ethan from a weird angle* =)
