@skittlejg Btw I gots ideas for Dark Kingdom/Emperor of Darkness/Nostromo.

In short, Empror is a skinchanger, can acquire any appearance and he's practically formed of ashes. Has two lackeys, one of which favours Nostromo in front of her lord.

Anyway, I think that's a good idea, but I think that whatever form he takes, he should be kind of falling apart, his skin peeling off and little ashes falling off him all the time and making a big mess.

No but seriously, spiritual links can be formed in many different ways, most of which are based on cooperation, friendship, mutual feelings of deep care and love (platonic or otherwise). It's the process of one person becoming a constant in another's life, so very tightly bound that the other wouldn't really imagine losing the other. That's the full link.

Now, don't get me wrong, their minds are connected and that connection is strenghtened now that Nostromo initiated all of the links.
However, their spirits remain separate and to be stronger, more flexible within the presence of each other (flexible and strong power-wise), they need to form deeper connections. Nt only that, they'd be each other's moral support as well as their physical support throughout the journey.

The formation of the link is, like I said, gradual. I think we'd get the feel of it as we continue roleplaying. Once our characters begin to get closer to each other, the relationship built on trust, respect, team work and so on would serve to draw strings between them. That's the base of the link, which then begins to thicken as the two characters continue relying on each other, helping each other and all that. It's all about trusting the other enough to open up. And our characters do so spiritually - they open up, even if it's briefly. Now, I'm s witching to metaphorical crap now because everything's metaphorical, let's face it.... those openings in their souls form a connection, through which they can share from powers, to... I don't know, dreams? thoughts? Energy. Whatever you guys can think of. xD
I haven't thought of the process itself, like the final connecting, but it should be epic, I think. >.>
Whenever those connections become prominant enough to bind their spirits together, the seals on both their hands light up simultaneously. And the only thing they need to do is make an outer connection - bodily contact, for their spirits to connect. They can feel each other's power, just like Nostromo felt theirs when he connected to them.

Now... Nostromo's links are a bit more tricky. His spirit is very much detachable, so is his soul. My theory is he's capable of astral projection, which is how he got everybody to the spirit world, by connecting them to himself and ripping his own soul from his body and going to that dimension. Since his spirit is mobile, it also means it's bare, fully open. It's the only way he could form all those connections in such a short span of time. He practically forced the links onto the power children, but they're not linked to him because they haven't opened to him, but he's completely open to them, to the point of being able to freely force his way into their minds. So, in short, Nostromo's links are one way links. He's hanging onto the power children, while they still don't let him in their spirits, although he can communicate with them through their minds.

So this is why I have a pretty interesting plan for Nostromo's astral projecting spirit and it's general openness. =P But that's to come later. xD

@skittlejg Astral projection is a human occurence to be perfectly honest. The concept is kind of waggly, but it's been proven possible. So Nostromo may very well be powerless and I think that I'll really make him powerless, but just living in the Dark Fortress. Anywho, he may very well be powerless, but none of this is based on enhanced powers or something. He's just able to detach his soul. (I say that as if it's so simple x'D)
And I kind of need to ask, are there demon-like creatures that involve human minds in AtLA? And if so, can I involve a demon in this roleplay? It won't be exactly a demon, more like a manifestation of the Emperor's darkness that has a partial mind of its own.

@jupiter_hollow Or maybe his powers bonded with a spirit, so he has some control over it. I don't think it should just be he powers coming alive or whatever.

Name: Sabata
Gender: Used to be a female and sometimes acquires the appearance of one, so... female, I guess.
Age: X
Personality: She's incapable of speaking, nor thinking all that much, since she is a creature of darkness literally made of an unstable matter. She can barely speak, seeing as her ashes aren't solid enough to form plausible voice chords, so if she does think something, it's mostly left unheard. She sticks around her sister mostly, often clinging either to her or to her master -- in which case clinging means wrapping herself around them passive-aggressively and 'hugging' or entering their forms and nearly choking them to death. Needless to say, she does the similar to all her opponents, which turns to be more deadly than when it's done to a darkness elemental. During her 'life' she hated the Emperor and later, her sister for being on the Emperor's side and despite being under Inaki's control, she sometimes shakes that off and attempts to actively kill either.
Appearance: What she basically looks like is a mass of black dust (presumable ashes) that is capable of moving around and reshaping itself, sometimes even to acquire the girl's features before she was burned, which gives the creature some human appearance. Some hard pieces, mostly coal, are present in Sabata's mass, which she incorporated into herself so as to provide more strength for her. The attacks she delivers are definitely more severe with something solid mingled amidst her ashes and dust.
Element: Darkness
Other: Sister of Minevra; rebelled against the Emperor's rule and was burned for her disdain towards him, which turned her into what she is now, completely under her hated one's control and with her sister doing nothing to aid her condition.

Personality: She's loyal to a fault, and it's definitely a fault as long as the Emperor is the subject of her loyalty. She's very much intelligent and more resourceful in a fight than her sister. She's become as deadly as the emperor himself, what with being his first turned elemental, as well as a willing one. Worships the ground he walks on despite him having her sister burned for her disobedience. She's quite the merciless killer, despite having a beautiful and innocent appearance, sans the horns. She's... surprisingly noble and aristocratic -- often kind to her 'kin' despite acting superior to them. And even though it's entirely true that she is, her pride exceeds any human standarts. However, since she's Inaki's favourite, he doesn't scold her for it.
Appearance: She has richly tanned skin, despite the time spent indoors, with an average height and a strongly built body. Her hair is black and wavy, reaching the middle of her back, with a majority of it either clipped up or wrapped around the pair of dark horns protruding from the sides of her head. She has the general appearance of a demon, with the sides of her eyes bearing her seal of darkness. Whiskey-colored eyes, much like Nostromo's.
