Power Children Discussion

Since everyone else likes it, I can't reject, however, I don't think they should be able to go into the Power State, at least not alone. Maybe if the elemental and normal person were touching, and one goes into the power state, they both do, intensifying both their powers. This could also happen between two elementals.

Anyway, the second thing is, as jupiter said, this would be very stressful, and hard on both of their minds, so Ethan wouldn't constantly be recharged by his sister the moment his powers start to fade.

Also, as I've said before, normal humans that are still Power Children have super speed and super strength, and they can still go into the Power State. 😃 It seems like you all are thinking non-elementals are powerless, but they really aren't.

You sorta CAN reject this, it's your RP. I'm just trying to help make it different. I've got a load of ideas anyways, this one is pretty minor.

Also, whut? o-o Who said anything about going into Power State? I meant just being able to produce a bit of fire, bend for a little while. Ain't nobody sayin' nuthin' 'bout power state dude xD Like I said, limitations.

Also, I think if the two were touching and the elemental went into power state, it means all that unbound power puring into the human and it would perhaps end either fataly or in a different but still bad way. Since the elementals were born with their powers, they're used to the pressure of all that energy stoerd inside them. Humans aren't. It's like your body would be pressured to the point of feeling that you're ripping at the seams. It'd be really reall painful, I presume... =P

erm... of course not. o-o They wouldn't be able to recharge, like I said, it would be painful at first so I assume it'd be used in serious situations. Like the human being in danger or the elemental needing to release some of their power.

Yes, but what kind of power state? Since they're powerless in terms of element. They're just normal, save for speed and strenght. Power state would require an element, I think. Not sure, I haven't watched AtLA but whateber xD

@jupiter_hollow Have you been reading the RP, you haven't posted in a while, but I think you would understand about the Power State if you did. Also in AtLA, only the Avatar could go into the Avatar State, or Power State, as it's called in this RP.

But I'm saying that a Power Child who isn't an elemental has super speed and super strength, so if they go into the Power State, they'll have super super speed and super super strength.

Now that I think about it, they just shouldn't go into the Power State together.

Anyway, I like your idea, never mind what I said, but if you haven't been keeping up with what's happening in the RP, you need to, because the Power State is important. If you'd like me to explain the Power State, just ask. 😃

Y'know the funny thing is that this is how I imagined Aykay and Ethan were before the events of LR. Aykay was the hot-headed arrogant one (though not with the temper I gave her in this RP) then she became more reserved and sensible because getting captured brought her down a couple notches. Ethan was basically just a protective brother in the beginning, but the more danger she was in, the more protective he got and he considered the rebels to be dangerous (or at least, she was in the most danger siding with them) so he was a strong loyalist.
I dunno if all that made sense to you

Lol. Meanwhile, everyone else has no clue what I'm talking about... oh, except Larka, I guess...

In other exciting news, I just put a hold on the Thor movie at the library. 😃 (Is it weird that I haven't seen it yet?)

@skittlejg Honestly I don't have time right now. Literally. I've been swamped by life and a writer's block that can't be tamed dude. I'm really really sorry, but I need to wait until Friday (no school) to post so I can get my head together and figure out what to do. XD

@skittlejg So all Power Children can go into Power State, that much I know. And no, I have been reading the RP, but your post with the power state didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

The Power State is something that happens whenever they're in danger,(for example: My character was about to drown, or be killed by the spider-wasps, so he went into the Power State) but eventually they can learn to control it. When they go into the Power State, the scar on their hand, symbolizing that they are a Power Child, glows. When they are in the Power State, they're really powerful. xD They have to learn to control the Power State, because if not, they can't control what they do when they're in it.

Scroll down to the part where it says Avatar State, and it's just that, but only their marks glow, and instead of Avatar, it's Power Children, and instead of Avatar State, it's Power State.

@skittlejg Alrighty then, now that that's covered, it's more clear in my head. Still, I think I did fairly well in guessing most stuff =P Also I don't know how we got to discussing power state... since the main conversation was about the links xD

Anyways, as for the posting. I think it's because it's all going too fast. I think the first chapter ended way too suddenly and in the next post everyone was asleep and then all of a sudden, bam! Wasps! And then Kireno with the power state. Ain't nobody fast enough to post in-between your posts so I've personally given up on posting before everything ended. xD I was just gonna make Isak sleep through everything, since calmness is a talent of his. =P So yeah, maybe you should take it a bit slower, wait for more than one person to post xD
I get your approach on the roleplay, you're all about action, but slow it down a notch and I think it'll work out ^^

So far, they at a mountain that has giant spider-wasps, and Ipah got stung and won't wake up. If a human got stung, they would die. But they fought off the SWs, and Kireno went into the Power State:

Everyone got on Ipah to fly from the Western Air Temple to the Water Tribe.

Ipah was tired, so they landed for some rest.

People fell asleep.

Everyone was attacked by spider-wasps when Ipah landed on their nest.

Ethan got Autumn to make smoke to slow them down.

Kireno went into the 'power state' and used crazy ice moves to freeze all the spider-wasps.
*Kireno used ice beam: SUPER EFFECTIVE!!!*
(couldn't help myself)

Everyone is waiting for Ipah to recover. Kireno is unconscious. Isak slept through everything. People are killing time by melting/breaking the ice.

@jupiter_hollow Is Nostromo in the physical world, or is he just a spirit or something? Because you said that he might lose his body and just be in their minds or something like that.

@skittlejg Yeap. He's just a spirit right now. He still has a very thick connection to his body but along the way, it would thin out. I haven't decided on him losing his body yet though xD
His body is in his room in the Fortress of Darkness right now.

@starling We're still all at the mountain we were at last time. Everything is icy, Kireno and Nostromo are in Kireno's mind. Just read my last post, and go from there, I'd say. I'm waiting for jupiter to get back on.
