Also, I read your comments in the Site Blog section, and then I read what you wrote here, and it was kinda contradicting, like seriously ._.

Myobu, Moxly...?! You can't even identify your own creature suggestions, why are you accusing people of plagiarizing them?

And like Orderedchaos has specifically stated, the Bomnom, according to the artist's reply throughout Ian's PM, wasn't based off your suggestion, you should deal with that, stop bringing this up.

About the 4 other creatures, whether they looked like creature suggestions or not, it's the users' choice to voice their opinions. So if they hadn't brought this up in the first place, then you shouldn't do this, either. Those are their suggestions, not yours.
Respect the users, stop dragging them into this unless you've discussed with them beforehand or they voluntarily came here.

Egg Cave is a friendly website, are these stupid arguments and useless fights even worth it? Why are you trying to get more opinions? The decision is final, the creatures were not based off anyone's suggestions, and that's it, facts aren't going to change.

And sorry if I sounded rude D;
I'm just really frustrated >.> Things should be over right after Orderedchaos' post, not... o.O

I know I confused the Myobu with the Moxly by accident... -___-" It's one of the stupid things I usually end up doing... 😋

The one that I thought might be plagiarized is the myobu.

I know what Ian said, but I feel like its a "he said she said" situation... like the game telephone... I would like to actually talk to the artist myself.

I have talked with the other users who have their suggestions up there. Like I've said before, I've made this topic to support everyone who thinks they may have a plagiarized idea. Whether their or my idea is plagiarized or not, I'd like to see how many people agree with us (hence the opinions, and if we want to change anything, we can't do it alone). Personally, if there was one plagiarized idea, I believe it would be @jupiter_hollow's agapy idea, its practically identical to the Cobrart.

The similarities of the four other ideas that aren't mine have not been addressed. And there is nothing final about this, not until each of us have spoken with the artist that may or may not have stolen our ideas. It's not fair to say "he said she said that they didn't steal your work". I don't want to hear it. I am not one to believe the first thing I hear about someone, at least not easily. In this situation I think it is our right to talk to egg cave's artist(s). You don't have to agree with that, but you can't say we can't post here, and that this is a stupid argument and that we should stop. You might think that, but we don't. Facts always change. Evolution.

Its okay, your english is fine. 😊 I know, I'm pretty frustrated with the travels right now... >.>

Just because you "feel" something's wrong, doesn't mean it is wrong. And Pirran said she didn't design this month's creatures, so the artist could have been someone else, someone who doesn't even have an Egg Cave account.

What does it even prove if people agree with you anyway?
The majority may think the ides were plagiarized, but the facts remain unchanged.
And this isn't about evolution or something, it'll stay forever that way until the day we die D8 Once an artist's work, always an artist's work, it can never be yours or anybody else.

Weeelll... It doesn't matter if the artist isn't Pirran, it was someone... It's not orderedchaos and ian's place to say the art was not plagiarized, because they aren't the artists.

Ever heard of petitions? That's kind of what I'm trying to do here, so its not just my voice. DEMOCRACY.

I mentioned evolution because of how you said "facts aren't going to change". Facts are always changing. Nothing stays the same for long. This site won't last forever. Anyway, that's off topic...

You say I'm being disrespectful, but all I'm doing is stating my mind. And it's not like I'm saying YOU plagiarized anything...

If your so frustrated over this, than you can go post somewhere else. I don't see why your letting my topic make you so upset... and now your saying you actually agree with some of us? Make up your mind...

In general, I don't really know what we could do about the things we talked about in this topic... I'm pretty much disheartened after Ian's/the mods' responses and I'm not sure if there is anything else that can be done.

@sony I hope you don't mind me interfering. Sorry, I know you were talking with Niel but I wanted to say something. ^^

I've never had this done to me, but I can imagine how bad it feels to have your work claimed unrightfully. However... considering that we know a majority of the creatures are user suggestions and the fact that we can't know whose ideas the atist draws, it's a bit inacurate to say they're being disrespected in this topic. The artists here (bless their faces for the awesome digital skills >w<) draw for the site and get paid, I'm pretty sure. We are in no way claiming their work - their digital works are their own, nobody claims them as their own -- we all know they're done by the artist. It's the creature ideas being imitated that we're protesting about -- we give ideas, we TRY to come up with new species and we put out imagination in it all for the sole purpose of getting recognized and having our name up there.
And that is so very little!
It's just a name -- that's our only reward, we're not protesting about money, man. We just want those people who contributed to a project to get recognition instead of being left out.

It's not that much to ask, really. 😊

We're artists too. Our work being claimed as someone else's is just as disrespectful.

@nenielsen If you'd like to talk to the artist yourself, posting in this thread will do you no good. You can respond to your existing ticket and ask to speak to the artist personally.

To be honest, Ian can't do more than say "the artist said this and that" if you're asking Ian to clarify whether the artist has used your creature suggestion or not. He can't not say "s/he said this". How is this a "he said she said" situation?

If you didn't want to hear the plain truth (or "it"), why did you even bother sending in a ticket? It sounds like you just don't want to hear things you don't agree with.

What more are you looking for, exactly? If you're looking for opinions, take a look at the poll or other posts. If you're looking to contact the artist, send in a ticket.

@karamel Okay, I get that Ian said my idea wasn't plagiarized, and you know what, he's probably right. At this point, I'm fighting for everyone else, especially Jupiter's idea. If you don't want to hear it, then don't look at this topic. Simple as that. I hate how angry people are getting on my topic. The reason I'm continuing to post here is to get more votes, good or bad. If you have nothing but complaints to post here, please just don't post. It's just depressing... If we were talking face to face it wouldn't be this way.

Look at my previous posts, I only disagreed with the Crishorse and Bomnom ideas, didn't with the Neerg and Agapy. So I wasn't contradicting myself.

That's what we wanna know though XD The artist and Ian did note that Niel's suggestion wasn't immitated, but what about the Neerg and Agapy? I don't know -- I think I kind of got in on the rebellious attitude after two people told me the Cobrart looked like my suggestion xD Shouldn't've done that, but it's kind of a defense mechanism.
And also, that's sort of the point - we're clueless and we want to fix that. =3

I can personally attest to the fact that the Greem's name wasn't inspired by the Neerg because I was the one who decided it (and had no knowledge of the Neerg at the time). Once you remove the name as evidence of plagiarism, you're left with a slender-bodied creature who has an affinity with grass.

I'm not the artist, but the probability of a grass lemur being based off of a grass dragon feels highly unlikely.

My creature suggestion, the Agapy, wasn't plagiarised. The EC critters are only created from creature suggestions that Ian shows the artist and my suggestion wasn't amongst those, so therefore it wasn't copied. All is clear. ^^

So, i may look like he Agapy, but it isn't it.

Hi ya'll.

I just want to put in one thing about stages being similar.

Recently, after I came back from my eggcave hiatus, I drew a christmas cobra suggestion, where the stages were EXACTLY alike to the cobrart. I had never seen the cobrart before since there were so many new creatures.

I'm just putting that out there in case any of you think that the stages are similar, just to say that maybe the artist didn't copy yours.

And jupiter_hollow, I'm glad yours wasn't copied 😊
