@sparrow @kurochi-akuma @ilovedoctorwho @leafpoolz @moosecake6Does the roleplay lag like this often or did I make everyone stop posting?-Aizel smirked at the sight of the creature crumpling in a broken heap on the ground. Not only that, it seemed like she would have enough time to disappear from sight before the thing had bothered to get up.She spun around another corner, making a u turn and returning to the main boulevard again. Halfway across the space between the right sidewalk and the alley where Mason had run, the distinct screech of another creature caught her attention. She froze in place, listening in for other sounds, then lifted her head when she detected more.Growling out a curse, she flung herself towards the alleyway, hissing out quietly, since she wouldn't dare to yell."Mason!" her voice was quiet as she sprinted down the street, peeking along mos corners before the faint call reached her ears."I-Izzy...!"Mason was kneeling, huddled behind a nearby house. He was shaken, hands slightly trembling as he covered his ears with them, trying to block out the high-pitched shrieks. He had his head lowered, eys tightly shut, and Aizel could already guess he was breathing in gasps. She couldn't relate - she hadn't been scared. There had been some fear from the creature... but that had discipated with the realization that her brother was possibly in danger. While she knew she had sent him in the safer direction, she couldn't help but worry about the defenseless boy while she had been running.Instead of rushing to his side, Aizel sauntered over, taking her time with each step so as not to startle or frighten the boy. She lowered herself down to a crouch in front of him, draping an arm over his shoulders and tugging him close."Izzie." he rasped out, curling into her."C'mon." she muttered, making no attempt to assure him of his safety -- not when he could clearly hear the monsters advancing on the east side of town.Nodding lightly, he unfolded himself from the kneeling position and hugged her, letting her lift him up. He clung to his sister when she broke into a light trot, exiting the alley and running opposite of the shrieks.

@jupiter_hollow - You have to remember Christmas was two days ago and people are still on holiday break. I as well. I also work heavily on the weekends, including Friday, so that's why my RPing tends to slow during those periods. That's the only reason I can think of for people not posting. Give it time, perhaps?Um...Also...not that this is a problem? But we already have a character named Izzy. o.e Could get confusing...@sparrow@moosecake6@leafpoolz@ilovedoctorwho--Chase followed the girl through different areas of the deserted city. First it was through a long alleyway, walls on either side of them. It then branched out into the open streets with a few short buildings surrounding them. They weren't at ground zero, more like the outskirts, so he could only assume that's why they were still standing. The strange girl opened a wooden door that led into one of them. She cautiously look inside, making sure that no one entered the area while she was away. A quick glance was all she needed to know. She looked over her shoulder at Chase and David, before signalling them to follow her further into the home. Chase followed and went through the doorway into the dark home. The girl shut the door behind them and locked several different types of locks down the side of it to make sure nothing what getting in anytime soon. She turned on her heels and looked over at David."Here, set him down on this." She instructed Chase, pointing to a heavy-duty floor mat that was a tint of tans, blues, and greens.Chase complied, walking to the mat and taking David off his shoulder and laying him onto the floor mat. The girl ran through the dark home and disappeared from Chase's sight.Chase peered down at David. He was looking pretty pale by now and his breathing was in short, quick breaths. They would need to stop the bleeding soon. The girl emerged from the darkness carrying a bunch of medical supplies in her arms. She kneeled down on the mat next to David and dropped the supplies to the right of her. "Let me take a look." She said softly, holding out her hand to Chase.Chase watched her, slight distrust in his actions, but then slowly let go of David's bleeding arm.The girl wiped up the dry blood that had hardened along the wound and began also cleaning it up from all the dust and dirt that might have gotten in it. "He'll need stitches." She told Chase, "Can you thread this?"Chase watched as she grabbed a curved needle from her supplies and green thread. She held it up to him and he took it with no words. "You don't talk much, do you?" She asked him as he threaded the needle. He simply shrugged at the question. The truth was, he was exhausted. To tired to do much of anything right now. It was even a struggle to thread the needle she gave him. After many failed attempts, he finally got it through the tiny hole- why did they have to make them so small anyways? He handed it back to her then."Thank you."She slowly began sewing up David's wound with the curved needle and thread as if David were some sort of sewing project. Chase looked away from the scene, beginning to feel sick to his stomach from all the blood. He got up and walked to the nearest wall, sliding down its hard surface and sitting on the ground. Once done with the sewing, she took out a square gauze pad, wetting it with some rubbing alcohol, then placed it on the wound. Taking another square gauze, she placed a dry one over top of the other one, being sure to press firmly. She took some straight gauze then and began wrapping up his arm the rest of the way, tying it off when she was finished."There! All done." She said with relief.--Sorry for the long post. I hate when I monologue to myself. lol

@jupiter_hollow It's probably that people are just busy right now. I'm sure it will pick back up soon.@moosecake6@leafpoolz @ilovedoctorwhoThe Creeper could find no movement to pick up on. It hisses in anger, and then clambers away...Towards the remains of the forest.Vincent found himself alone again. Which, normally wouldn't bother him, but hearing the shrieks of approaching Creepers, made him edgy. He had no idea where Chase and David had gone, and wondered if they had made it to a safe place. However... He did see where that women had gone when she crossed the street. The Creeper had followed her down the ally, and she came out without it following. He wondered how she'd done it. Last he saw, she had gone in the direction the young one had run off in. Cautiously Vincent glances around the area before coming out. He climbs up to a ridge of walls and begins walking over it in the direction Aizel had gone in. Not too much later he finds the pair, and decides to follow at a distance to avoid attention.

@sparrow @jupiter_hollow @kurochi-akuma @leafpoolz @ilovedoctorwho David broke free of the grip of his other self and pulled himself back to reality he opened his eyes to a new surrounding "where am I?" david asked into the open air he was exhausted even though he spent plenty of that time unconscious. He soon fell into a dreamless sleep. He woke up after what seemed like hours much more refreshed. He looked around and saw Chase and another person a girl. David noticed that his arm had been sewed up "thank you" he said to both the girl and Chase.

@kurochi-akuma 's a cool monologue ^^ I kind of like monologuing... @sparrow Neh, I don't mind the lag. It's actually better since I'm slow as eff. It kind of happens that sometimes when I join a roleplay (dunno if it happens to new Rpers in roleplays that have already started and are far along) most participants stop posting... Or pause. So I have it in my mind that every time I join a roleplay people go 'Ew. That person.' and just nope their way out of the roleplay.I'm just a terrible RPers 8D Don't mind me!Also, Izzie is what Mason calls Aizel. It's not completely the same... But wouldn't it be fun if the little guy messed up when talking with the both of them around. "Izzie/y!" "What?" x2 and then confusion. It's fun ^^ The roleplayers would know who he's referring to because it's Izzie and Izzy while in actuality, he'd be confusing them. .3.@leafpoolz @moosecake6 @ilovedoctorwho-With Mason settled restlessly in her arms, Aizel couldn't quite concentrate on the task at hand - get as far away from the beass as possible. The adrenaline rushing against her eardrums muted out any other audible sound, but her brother's periodic raspy breaths, as well as her own panting. The little boy was trembling feverishly - mainly from fear, although the cold air stinging his skin through the military coat made for it as well. She repeatedly cooed to him softly, emmiting quiet shushing sounds that apparently had no effect on him, other than making him try to choke down his sobs in a pathetic attempt to be quiet. God, she was horrible at parenting, Aizel mused. Her role was mainly shooting and throwing around fists. It was the pivotal reason why she never bothered to educate herself enough to enter college. However, she apparently also lacked enough brain capacity to figure out how to deal with kids. Mason was always elated when she would include him in whatever she was doing - she was the fun sibling, while Nathaniel used to be the one to actualy take care of the kid.She sighed. The man would probably laugh ill-heartedly (and a little maliciously) if he saw her now, holding a scared-to-death Mason.A set of footsteps broke her chain of thought. Not only that, Aizel nearly swerved to the left as she craned her neck to take a glance back. She didn't see anything but a vague figure. The risk wasn't worth taking, so she waited until she was well away from the main boulevard to sharply spin on her heels and raise the gun to the stranger's head. It was a man - presumably about her own age."The heck do you want?" he barked out, aiming half-heartedly. Mason's body clinging to her torso made holding the rifle with both hands a hardy task so she dangled the weapon with one arm only, trusting the short distance between her and her target to make up for it.-By the way: Aizel - http://i40.tinypic.com/16icmq8.jpgIgnore the blood and bruises. xD

Guys, I haven't posted in too long, I'm sorry, sort of forgot about this roleplay... I don't think I'll remember to post often enough. You can just pretend my characters never existed 😸
kurochi-akuma • 28 December 2013 at 7:11 PM
@jupiter_hollow - Haha, thanks! 😊 And not at all! You're a wonderful RPer~~! I looked up to you when I first started RPing on Eggcave. ❤️ I even still do. I'm like, "OMG Jupiter_Hollow is in this RP it must be awesome. x3" Buuut that's just me. 😋And okie! Just making sure you're aware of that. I think it would be cute as well. 😊You draw really well btw. 😊@moosecake6 @sparrow @leadpoolz@ilovedoctorwho - Okie! Have fun! 😸--"You're lucky to be alive, you know?" The girl said to David when he awoke. Chase watched silently as they conversed with each other. His head was spinning in all different directions. It was hard to focus on just one thing anymore and it was getting worse by the minute. He knew he needed some sort of liquid in his system- water was preferable. He heard David ask where he was to which the girl replied with:"You're at my..." She thought for a moment, crinkling up the trash in her hands, "Home."She stood up from her kneeling position next to David and walked over to a tin can to dispose of the trash in her hands. When she turned around, her eyes fell on the sickly looking Chase. He noticed her gaze and decided to speak up. "Can I have some water?"She bit her inner lip, contemplating something in her mind. He wondered why it was such a big deal to her, but still hoped that she would give him some. She then nodded, headed back into the darkness of her home to retrieve some water for him. She came back with a canteen filled with water and handed it to him. He took it in his hands, bringing it to his lips and chugging down the room temperature water in large gulps."Not so fast!" She warned him, going to grab it.He slow down as soon as her hand reached for it, not wanting it to be taken away just yet. The liquid felt good down his dry throat. Despite it being room temperature, it still felt cold on the way down to his stomach. He exhaled after those long sips and handed the canteen back to the girl.He was surprised to feel better almost right away. "Who are you?" He asked the girl. But the better question was...why did you help us?She screwed the cap back on the canteen, "My name is Belle."

@kurochi-akumaShush! Speak no foul words!Truth be told, I've admit multiple times to myself before - you do know how to make a roleplay interesting. If not with your characters (they're heroes but not heroic ones; sad, but not tragic pasts - you know he essence of your own character and you perfect it; it's wonderful to read over your forms), then with your creativity in posting (creating entirely different, interesting situations, as well as being able to go with a set situation as smoothly as possible). So, dear madam, do re-evaluate your opinion. ;]Ah, too late... But it was my chance to shine with bad humor, whyyyyy!!! X3That was mainly for everybody to have an idea of how she looks like - I make her sound like a normal average-looking woman or tough Mary Sue most of the time, but her looks are actually rough.

@jupiter_hollow I think you're a great rper. 😃 Very epic art btw.@moosecake6@leafpoolz@ilovedoctorwho Aw, bye. It was fun. Victor had some strange visions. XD Vincent couldn't help but feel a twinge of pity towards the pair. At least one of them must be terribly frightened. Though he hated the fact, he could smell the fear trailing behind them... Pain starts to grip him in the left side of his head. He focuses on keeping the pain from taking hold...From changing him...Like it had his brother. He's snapped back to reality when he hears, "The heck do you want?" shouted at him.The pain fades just then, and he suddenly comprehends the sentence. He raises his hands slowly, to show he's carrying no weapons. Held at gun point... This is what he'd wanted to avoid. Had been avoiding. And just great that in that one moment of not paying attention, whoosh, there it was. He didn't want to show his nerves, but couldn't help the slight shake in his voice,"The same thing as you. To get away from those things." he answers.

@sparrow @jupiter_hollow @kurochi-akuma @leafpoolz @ilovedoctorwho David opened his pack and pulled out a water bottle and opened it his throat was dry. He drank slowly using the arm that wasn't injured. "lovely place you've got here Belle. Are you hungry or thirsty? Oh and Thank you both again I have no Idea how my scar was ripped open." David pull out some bread and tore off two pieces and gave one piece to Belle and one to Chase. He put the bread away and got out some meat and cheese and distributed it and he ate some then put it away. David is deep in thought about what has been happening to him and he asks himself "Why?"

Kita felt her way through the cramped corridor to the doorway of her shelter. The lights had been out for how long now? She couldn't even remember, but it was beginning to make her strictly regimented sleep cycles very difficult to maintain... At first she'd figured that she could live without the lights, but it was slowly beginning to occur to her that it would be more difficult than she'd anticipated. She found the hatch and grabbed hold of the handle. She kept her eyes closed to protect herself against the sudden change in light that was inevitable. She gripped the handle and pulled, pushing on the door with all of her unsubstantial weight. It creaked open loudly and she could feel warm, glorious light on her closed eyelids. She resisted the temptation to open her eyes to see what had happened to the place she'd once called home and instead, blindly pulled herself through the opening. She waited for a few minutes, just sitting in the sun before she took a deep breath and opened her eyes the slightest bit... Just enough to let in a little light. She could see the blurry shapes of what was once her uncle's property just outside the city. She couldn't really tell what shape it was in though...When she felt as though she was ready, she opened her eyes all the way. There was no house there... Just the foundation and a pile of rubble. The shelter entrance was right next to the garage, but all that was left of that was a bunch of broken bricks and a burnt-out pickup. She stared at it for a while before grabbing her bag containing the meager remains of her supplies and heading down the dirt driveway to the highway that lead to the city. She wasn't going to find any survivors here.@moosecake6@sparrow@jupiter_hollow@kurochi-akuma

@moosecake6 @sparrow @jupiter_hollow @leafpoolz @dada_dragon --Belle set down the canteen on a wore coffee table before replying to David's offer, "Thanks, but I'm fine."Though she wasn't as easily moved by the gesture, Chase took David up on it. He reached out his hand and took the small bits of bread, meat, and cheese and began to eat. He ate the meat and cheese first, allowing his once dry mouth to still have some moisture. The bread would dry it out again, so he was contemplating whether to even eat it or not. He held it in his hands and decided to look around the room they were in instead."Why not turn on the lights? I can barely see you." Chase noted."It's not safe. Those things-" "Creepers." Chase corrected."Creepers...they're attracted to heat, light, sound, movement; it's best to leave it off from my experience. I hope its alright. I have gotten used to seeing in the dark."Chase nodded, looking around the small 'home' again. He could see various shades of blue, black, and grey and the blurry outlines of objects to some extent. It was enough for him."I wonder what ever became of Vincent." Chase said to no one in particular.Belle sat down on the coffee table, "Vincent?""Yeah. A guy we ran into before the Creeper came. He told us he would handle it and that I should take David and run, but, not sure what he even could have done." Belle listened quietly and decided not to reply, seeming to be thinking about something herself.

@sparrow Thank you darling. ^^ I'm not that good. @moosecake6 @dada_dragon @leafpoolz @kurochi-akuma-Shifting her eyes from Vincent to the northernmost horizon over the city's dilapitated buildings, Aizel began to move around him, twisting herself to face him with a presentable sideways view of the boulevard as well.He was danger. Perhaps not pivotal, but Aizel had been in the illegal business long enough to have earned her fair share of street smarts, the Golden Rule of which was not to ignore a threat. 'Kill or be killed', however painfully outdated it sounded, was a rightfully cliched phrase and figurated on the very first page of her moral codex. It didn't matter how unarmed, innocent and scared the man looked - in her world the innocent and scared often ended up sporting a sharp-edged weapon and a traitorous grin. Being an ex-ercenary had its downsides, one of them being the unhealthy amount of wariness and hostility she held towards anyone and everyone in such a situation - that was visible thanks to the striking contrast between her rage-stricken face and Mason, who looked utterly confused as to why they weren't running away from the imposing danger and instead wasted their time on the kind-looking man...Aizel was on a similar page at the moment. She was pondering over the dilemma. Striking a presumably innocent man down or letting him live when he was equally presumed to be dangerous? She snarled -- an inherent reaction she had for everything nowadays. The man's justification made a point. It was, sadly, a really good reason why he was following them... She doubted he knew where he was going - the dude looked as disheveled as her, as if he'd just crawled out of a hole and he probably had. Running along the direction of 'safety' was the first thing anyone would do... He seemed eager to continue running and get away from the impending death and destruction that sounded like it was close by, so she motioned ahead of herself with the rifle and narrowed her eyes."Go on then. In front of me." she urged him. She'd be slower at this rate anyway, especially with Mason weighing her down. "Go on. Run!"
dada_dragon • 2 January 2014 at 7:51 PM
Kita pulled her water bottle out of her bag. She was a bit concerned with how little there was, but maybe not all of the stores had been looted... But that was doubtful... She could see the city now at least, but not well enough to guess what state it was in. She did notice less taller buildings than she remembered, but that was to be expected...She hadn't seen a single living thing since she'd started walking. Or anything undead... So she supposed zombie apocalypse was out. It was a bit of a relief really. She'd read a lot of that kind of book while sitting in her shelter. Not many of those ended well...She had a large, clublike piece of wood and a brick to defend herself, but that was about it. She doubted it would be useful in a fight, but it might buy her some time if she had to get away from a thief or whatever scum was left behind... Maybe...Suddenly, she felt very vulnerable.@kurochi-akuma@jupiter_hollow You're kinda famous 'round the roleplays, Jupe. 😸@sparrow @moosecake6@leafpoolz

@jupiter_hollow@moosecake6@leafpoolz (thanks for the permission. 😃)@dada_dragon (Do you want her to run into Victor? He got cast out because the person he was interacting with left. XD) The long uncomfortable silence made him nervous. It was obvious to him, true or not, that she was contemplating letting him live or not. He lets out his breath when she waves him to pass."Thank you."Cautiously he side steps until he's past the pair. He looks ahead, getting a sudden bad feeling, he ignores it as his nerves. Before he runs off he pauses and says,"Try to keep high up. They don't like it." Without waiting for a response he runs on ahead, a bit quicker then one may think he could. He'd hide out ahead, there wasn't much else that could be done... However after about a hundred yards he skids to a stop... What was that he saw on the ground just now? He turns, keeping his eyes on the ground, staring at a tiny frail pile of feathers just a few feet away. Silently he walks over to it and kneels down. It was a dead pigeon, seeming to be a fresh kill. A dead pigeon wouldn't have bothered him,...it was the manner in how it had died... It was as if it had been mangled in the air, parts missing and such, cut up it was barely recognizable for what it was...He stands and looks up, watching for what he knew must be near. He didn't care what the female would say about him stopping... 'They' were here now... Cautiously he listens, only hearing the Creepers distant calls, but not hearing what he's fearfully listening for...yet.

@sparrow @jupiter_hollow @kurochi-akuma @leafpoolz @ilovedoctorwho "we can only hope that Vincent defeated the creeper." David said his voice quiet. Kita grew closer to the city. She was wondering what kind of disasters had occurred since she had entered her shelter...There didn't seem like enough people for there to be a corrupt dystopian government... Mind you, maybe there was and it just wasn't here... No zombies still... That was good. No dominant monkey race (that book seemed a little far fetched)... Gosh, she hoped it wasn't a 'last person on earth' scenario... Being alone in the shelter for that long was bad enough, but...@moosecake6 @sparrow @jupiter_hollow @leafpoolz

@sparrow @dada_dragon @moosecake6 @leafpoolz @kurochi-akuma-Aizel had already gotten a move on by the time the man decided to actually take a cautious approach to the situation and actually /tiptoe/ around her. She snarled his way - an indication to hurry up, as she herself sprinted ahead, keeping right behind the man, a few feet back for safety measure, though she kept the distance and speed in check just to be sure he wasn't slowing her down.Whoever he was seemed to be able to run like an athlete, she mused, as the male ended up way ahead of her. Then again, she wasn't all that fast in general and also currently tired so her judgement was definitely questionable. Her train of thought was cut by his words and she snapped up, rude retort ready on her lips, but paused as she actually comprehended the sentence.Heh, dude seemed to be familiar with the creatures.Still, despite everything, she found him a few feet ahead, staring at a dead pigeon without any regard of the patch of monsters heading their way."You done mourning, kid?" she hollered at him, more mockingly than anything.

@jupiter_hollow @dada_dragon @moosecake6 @leafpoolz @kurochi-akumaVincent was silent as the grave, listening to every tiny sound. A twitching sound here, a flutter there... They were here... But where? His thoughts are interrupted when he hears a voice break the silence... It was that female. He looks over to her, the sounds surrounding them getting louder and louder, like the beating of many wings. A single bird-like creature flies out of a window frame of a desolate building. It catches the air and circles above before diving down and landing on a crumbled wall. It is slightly smaller than a pigeon, with similar coloring to one. The strange thing about it though is the beak. Grossly lengthened and much like a three sides arrowhead, two edges following the line of the beak back behind the head, one blade running up between where its eyes should be. Close up one could see it is lacking eyes, and has several slits on the sides of the head, like bird ears. It hops along the wall, flicking its tail, tilting its head side to side in the direction of the group.Vincent stands frozen, starring at the little monstrosity. The bird looks away from him to the female and kid. It makes a sharp chirping sound... Seeming examining the surroundings.
