You don't belong here. None of us do. You're not insane. None of us are. But that's not what he says. He claims we're crazy. That we must be locked up. That we're a danger to the public.

We sit, in our stone cells, getting one meal a day. We're barely alive. We hear the screams of the others, the ones who have been here so long they actually are insane. He brings us one at a time to his office once a day. He tortures us. He makes us scream and cry. We're so close to death that we might as well be dead. He wants to unlock our secrets.

It's what he doesn't have that makes him do this. It's what we keep from him. We lock it inside ourselves, afraid of using it, for the minute we use it could be the minute he steals it. That's the real reason were here.

He is Dr. Kraven. He is one of the most powerful men in the world. He claims to be developing ways to counteract insanity. He is not. He has watched you your whole life, as he has almost everyone in the world. He controls everything, and you cannot escape him. He wants you for your powers. You are among, maybe 100, in the entire world with these special abilities. You have a main ability, the most powerful one, and side abilities, which relate to your main ability, but aren't as powerful. He wants your powers. They will help him in his sinister quest.

You are inside Blackoak Asylum, placed right in the middle of BSRC. The Blackoak Science and Research Center is the largest in the world, and who knows what other experiments he's working on. It's also said to be the most secure place on the planet. It's impossible to sneak in or out. Outside the gates of Blackoak is miles of forest. No road is built within miles of the building. There is no escape.

Or so you think. Suddenly, your eyes bolt open. Sirens blare. The large automatic door to your cell, specialized to withstand your powers, slams open. The only light you've seen all day is the dim one in your cell, and the hall seems brighter than the sun, though even it is very dim. You hears the guards shouting, their boots marching in unison. This is your chance to escape the inescapable. This is Blackoak Asylum.

Rina was staring at the cell next door. Sure there was a wall there, but she felt as if her eyes could stare right through the wall. She burst into crazy laughter. "Ahhh, Rina needs to stop. Rina has to remember that this place is no laughing matter. Rina has to stop referring to herself in the third person." She turned away from the wall.

Rina was looking at the door of her cell when it happened. The alarms blared. Rina snuffed the urge to copy it. "Rina shouldn't have tried turning into her weirdo cousin," she quietly told herself, remembering how that urge came from that. The doors opened. "Rina's chance." She stepped out.

Drunk with sleep, Ashlin was unable to distinguish the sound reverberating off the walls. It hummed with intensity in her tired ears. The noise grew and grew until it was a thunderous wail. Blinking furiously, she managed to pry her eyes open. An alarm had been triggered and the commotion of screaming patients reigned.

She rolled over burying her face. "Someone must have tried to escape again." She thought to herself. Then, a rumble as her door unlocked and clanged sideways.

"This is..." She managed but remembered her vow to remain silent. Silence was always better, it meant that there would be no pain. "Anyway, it's probably a trick" she thought. Then the realization, "Or maybe not."

Tentatively she placed one hand out, waving it in the door; no electricity. Placing one foot slowly in front of the other she dared to enter the blinding light of the hallway.

He was burried in shallow sleep around the time of the very first siren wail.

His dark form blended perfectly with the interior of the poorly lit cell, only he illuminated outlines of his body curled up on the sheetless matress being an indication there was actually someone occupying the space there. He was motionless and softly breathing, having reduced himself to a ball of limbs that took up only half the sleeping room. His entire body was coiled around itself, head tucked under his forearm to shield his eyes from the dim, nearly non-existant light - in all honesty it bothered his strictly regimented sleeping schedule. The light had become his day, since he himself hadn't seen actual sunrays in weeks - therefore blocking it was the only way to provide himself sleep. His eyes were sensitive to such things.

As was his hearing, apparently.

Upon registering the first high pitched tone of the alarm he startled in what seemed to be a milisecond. His entire body uncoiled, legs kicking and arms flailing out; his entire reflexive mechanism's first task was to heave him out of bed and make him take a defensive pose, crouched on the ground and lowered his head timidly.

He whined, scared of the unbearable sounds.

However, the top of the cake wasn't that - rather, it was the metal door of his comofrtably confined room slamming open that scared him the most. The intense light seeped in altogether, leaving him completely blind as his pupils, dilated to the max to be able to see in the previous darkness, took on a large amount of light.

Letting out a shriek, he recoiled backwards, curling in on himself again and covering his eyes.

River flopped off her bed her vision blurred and her movements slow. She stood up holding onto the wall for support; shaking with nausea River pushed her hands as hard as possible into the wall and started slowly dragging herself across them. She shuddered as her door opened with her hands on it. The sirens, blaring barley penetrated her semi-consciousness as she stumbled onto the floor.

"What's happening?" She muttered to herself; shaking her head she pulled herself back up and started scaling the wall again her breathing slowly calming down. "Great, River you're stuck here and can barley climb a wall without dying."

Andrea woke up to the sirens blaring. "Wha...?" she murmured. Almost as soon as her vision cleared, Andrea was examining what had happened. The dim room she was imprisoned in was somehow brighter. Most importantly, the door was OPEN. Andrea began to debate whether to escape. One part of her said, "Do it! This may be the only chance you have!" After hearing that in her mind, she knew what she had to do. Andrea made herself invisible and ran into the hallway.

Sorry, I've been really busy.
__________

Michael woke up, he was hoarse from the screaming and begging of the day before. But this was a new day. What would come was almost certain, almost.

He had awoken because a loud noise. The clanging metal of his cell door opening. The light from the halls brought pain to him eyes, and it cast unidentifiable shadows on the wall behind him.

But this time, he wasn't supposed to see the light. He could tell when the sirens started blaring. His heart pounded. He had his chance, the chance to escape, after who knows how long of praying, the day was coming.

He stepped out of his cell. This time, he wouldn't be walking straight into torture, he'd be running from it.

And he wasn't the only one. Peering down the hall, Michael saw the others looking out of their cell too, running. He listened. The stomping of boots could be heard in the distance. The guards were coming. Michael ran right. It seemed the guards were coming from the other direction.

His hands lit up with plasma, and Michael ran around the corner, not knowing where he could or would go.

Ashlin was shocked to see so many others free from there cells "So its not just me" She concluded.

Throwing her long hair over her shoulder she quickly surveyed the scene. It was an impossible mixture of bodies. Then she saw a boy; blond hair sweeping around the corner to the right. "He seems to know where he's going" she thought to herself. And in a race of adrenalin, she forced her way after him, noting the sounds of approaching guards in the distance. She had to escape, she wouldn't be put back in the cell, not when freedom was so very close.

She didn't dare speak a word to draw the boy's attention, terrified that somehow the noise would transport them there by her side. The crying always had. They had always been like great phantoms to her, always seeming to know where fear hid and then appearing there the next instant.

She'd fool them though, she'd escape. She had to.

Recoiling to the back of his cell, Rok let out a whine of fear, both of his hands wrapped tightly around himself, body curled in a ball. While the rest of the asylum seemed extatic to be out and about, and were declaring their joy of freedom very loudly, the wolf had no desire to leave the peace and quiet, and darkness of his comfortable prison.

The blindingly white and noise-ridden hallway scared him half to death and he only dared to peek out from underneath his armpit before draping a hand back in over his face.

The fear in his system triggered a defense mechanism he hadn't remembered having, but nevertheless he didn't rebel against his body as he felt the canine instinct take over. His wolf was drawn to the light and to the rumble of voices outside. It's pivotal instinct was to associate all of the bustle with one thing - prey. He hadn't eaten for days and could feel the growl of his stomach rise in his throat as well, more of a guttural roar than anything. Outside meant no tranquility, but by association, it also meant a high possibility of food.

Uncurling, the wolf released his coiled body in a spring-like movement, landing on all fours right in front of his door; then performing another pounce. He found himself in the middle of the crowd, crouched down and blocking the movement. The runners behind him were very much inclined on trampling the crouched boy, but found themselves backing up as he roared at anything that so much as dared touch him.

He proceeded forward, walking on all fours in a slow and weary pace.

Andrea didn't expect so many other people running amok, trying to escape. As she watched the hallways, Andrea started toward the rightward door, realizing a chance for escape. Before she could, a boy ran toward it and blocked Andrea's path. "Huh," Andrea said to herself. "I wonder if I could find some allies here..."

Michael ran until he came to the end of the hall. He could hear people just behind him, just around the corner.

He opened the first door he saw. A small closet, he could barely fit in it, but squeezed in. He heard footsteps walk past. He was safe. So he waited thirty seconds and opened the door again.

"Ahh," he yelled as he saw someone fall over. 'I'm dead,' he thought, stuffing himself back in the closet. 'I just hit a guard and they know I'm in here. I can't escape,' he though, his heart beating faster by the minute. He could see the insides of the closet as his hands lit up the shelves.

Ashlin rounded the corner, the hallway at her back a mess of chaos. This new passage lay dormant and empty; the mess of blond hair gone.

"W-w-where?" she whispered. She hadn't intended to speak. The words stumbled clumsily off her lips. She wrapped an arm around herself suddenly feeling very much alone. Her feet kept moving towards some unknown location. "He has to be here somewhere."

A figure forced her up against the wall as he marched away. Another subject hoping to escape, she assumed. How terrifying desperate people are. She heaved a sigh. Ashlin continued to lean against the wall; no a door she realized.

Then the door flung open, knocking her to the floor with a grunt, "Ahh" The door clicked shut. First getting on her knees and the rising to her feet, Ashlin stared at the door. "Someone must be in there." Instinctively she reached for the knob but stopped just short. There was no way of telling what lay behind the door.

It may be a monster. "Monster" having become synonymous with the horrible men she had been tormented by.

She stretched her fingers out once again. Or maybe it was one like her... She inhaled slowly then wrapper her hand around the cold metal handle. Ashlin treasured the texture or it, smooth and round, as though it would be the last thing she ever felt.

She moved slowly trying not to make a sound, praying that by some miracle whoever was inside would not pay any notice to the rotating knob. Then she pulled hard and dove against the wall beside the opening , plunging her face into the cover of her hands hoping that she had not been mistaken.

The flow of movement in the hallway seemed to speed up. The people around him had now become to be more eager to get past, often disregarding his bared teeth and trampling him over.
The wolf stood back, baffled by the aggressive downpour of strangers. It wasn't until he felt a sharp pain in his side that he realized what they were running from -- the bullet entered his skin, grazing a kidney, then didn't make a clean exit on the other side of his side. He could feel the steel ball lodged in his insides, weighing on his stomach greatly as he attempted running away from the bullets.

He was an animal. It was why he was hunted down as one, he remembered, growling at his persecutors. And like such, his instinct was to flee from the enemy and seek shelter.

Scrambling forward seemed to do the trick since he had a wall to hold onto and a crowd to hide into, but as soon as he reached the opening of hallway, he found himself unable to continue forward out of fear of crumpling. He'd received two more shots by that point, but had managed to lose whoever it was in the sea of patients.

The trail of blood was enough of an indication of his whereabouts, however. Despite having a wolfs mentality, he knew this subconsciously, still not feeling safe even in the safe haven of similarly dressed bodies.

Rina jumped back at all the running bodies. "Huh, Rina never knew there was this many people." Rina looked at the thing they were running from. She laughed. "Might as well follow them." She left the doorway of her cell to follow the others. She looked around and found a small closet. Rina saw a mouse too. "Rina has never tried before." Thinking to herself if she should try. Why not? It will make Rina harder to find. She shifted into a mouse and crawled into the closet to find a person in there. Rina squeaked in terror, for the mouse she shifted into hated humans. Rina tried to surpress the urge of the animal. Slowly she climbed up the guy.

River noticed people rushing past her to the right and let her self slump onto the floor. Focusing her energy she pulled water from the floor of the lab and bubbled it around her head breathing in the water. Using other water she pulled it around her legs and forced herself to walk using hte water as her "legs". As she reached the other people she stopped and removed the water from herself and moved it behind her forming an almost snakelike thing following her.

"Who are you?" she asked the people turning the corner the entity following her.

Michael watched as the door knob turned. His fist was ready, powered by plasma, to take whoever opened the door.

As the door flung open, Michael punched blindly. A ball of plasma blew up the wall, but there was no one there. Until he noticed a girl, her hands hiding her face. She was like him.

"Sorry, I thought you were a guard. It's fine, I'm on your side. Let's go," he said. Michael turned to see about 20 guards coming down the hall.

"Run," he said quietly. He could just see them at the end of the hall, but he was scared. He grabbed the girls hand and started down the hall, back towards the cells, the way he came.

//IC//
Lys woke from a groggy stupor. She forced her mind awake. It jumped eagerly at her command. When her mind was clear, she felt her powers heightened. Her life line was supplied by her mind, and her mind was supplied by her life line. She could hear the loud noises coming from outside her cell. What was happening? The world seemed to be caving in around her as the blasting sirens enveloped her within the cacophony.

She cringed as she heard gunshots and the high pitched agonized wails of their targets. The guards were shouting and so were the prisoners. Lys numbly registered that. Other prisoners. There were more like her. She knew that. Her mother's words were coming back to her, 'Take a moment, assess the situation before you act.'

Ever the faithful child, she took her mother's words to heart. She opened her senses, briefly noticing the pain in her stomach from lack of food, the bruising on her arms, legs, and torso, and the little trickle of blood running down her broken lip. Lys pushed those sensations away. She opened her ears, her eyes, and her mind to what was going on around her.

Her eyes could not see past the dark grey walls but she saw that the door was unlocked, the door was completely open, someone had deliberately done that. She heard once again the screaming, and then the pitter patter of foot steps, the squeak of a mouse, quiet muttering, and muffled sobs.

The foot steps grew closer, the badump badump of bare feet on cold concrete. She peeked outside of her cell and saw two children, a boy and a girl. Gripped tightly on the boy's shirt was a small mouse. But she had been told by someone that escape will hurt. Lys was told she was safe here. Someone wise had told her that, someone who wanted her to be safe. And so Lys retreated to a corner of her cell and waited for the world to pass her by.

Heat raged around her and Ashlin was left in a stupor, she felt hot tears burn her face. This was the end, she would certainly burn to death. She thought for a moment. "The guards don't have fire, just guns." She didn't dare to open her eyes until, "Sorry, I thought you were a guard. It's fine, I'm on your side. Let's go," It was the boy from earlier. His voice was kind and caused a wave of relief to wash over her.

The unmistakable sound of combat boots on the cold, cement floor behind them shook Ashlin back to reality. She heard gunshots for the first time and froze.

Her mind shot back too the first time her uncle Steve had showed her a gun. She was barely six at the time and he told her that everyone should know how to handle one, just in case. She remembered her amazement watching him load it, feeding it a shot. Screaming out the barrel, the bullet let loose a cry as it tore through a tree across the field.

"Never." He had warned, "shoot one of these. Unless you really mean it." She nodded obediently.

The guards didn't mean to capture them again, they meant to kill, she realized. She turned to the boy as it to tell him this but he seemed to already know because the next thing she knew, he was dragging her by her wrist, "Run!" was all the urging she needed. She tore through the hallway past open cell doors.

The world blurred into a desperate patter of feet. There would be no returning to their cages now, she thought. Their only chance of survival it seemed would be escape.

Rok kept to the narrow spaces between the walls and tide of running people. He was struggling to accommodate himself to the varying pace of the crowd, careful not to get left behind or get upswept in the front rows, where the guards could easily see him. Amidst the patients with white clothes, he was sure his heavily bleeding side would stand out immediatelly, beckoning like a bullseye.

His canine instincts registered the multitude of sounds and differently toned voices, screams and chatter alike, while his difficultly maintained human intuition (whatever was left of it) prevented him straying away from his strictly regimented pace. And despite the positive outcome for him, the wolf was confused. He was balancing on the edge of canine and human, going as far as he could without tipping either ways. He could feel the internal bleeding as much as the external trickle of blood down his stomach and hip; the blood-soaked clothes' cling to his skin made him want to rip them apart and morph into his bigger, more dangerous and physically strong form. Something in his head just kept tugging him away from that rash decision.

The dark fur would stand out, starkly contrasting against the bleached walls and white downpour of patients; he wouldn't be able to outrun a bullet either ways; nor live past another gun wound. His human intuition was logical, but he wasn't aware of the reasons of it. All he registered was an inexplicably strong urge to remain human. His senses knew the dangerous outcome, but added no arguments to it.

He found himself tumbling a short while after. The entire time leaning against the wall, he hadn't expected it to come to a corner this sharp and take his supporting hands by surprise... Oh, what was this? He glanced forward, registering the scent of enemies before even laying eyes upon them. Similar to the smell of metal and weapon oil that followed him the entire way down the hallway, this scent burnt his nostrils, more prominant than the one of the guards behind him.

They were turned away.

He tilted his head to the side, face going lax with confusion as to why the guards weren't bothering to halt the crowd still barelling partilly over Rok himself. They were loud. Wasn't loud noticeable? Loud not loud enough?

His eyebrows shot up at the conclusion and he remained in his place, sitting on the floor with feet tucked under himself.

Guards stupid?

Or just deaf?

Lys shivered as she wrapped her shoddy white prisoner's garb around her tighter. She could feel the rough fabric pressing tightly against her ribs. Oh, how she could count ever bone in her body, they protruded out from her jaundicey yellow skin. Her eyes glazed over as she tried to sink into her own thoughts, to create a world for herself in her own mind that she could live in happily as her physical form deteriorated. But today, she couldn't concentrate on escaping reality. There was a chance that she could escape in reality. Yet her superego fought against her every step of the way, "you are not your mother's child. She would never want you to live like this, like a common criminal, if you escape you lose what's left of your honor."

Her id retorted sharply, "What's honor got to do with anything, this isn't going to help her survive. We can't continue to be passive about these things. You're going to die if you don't act now."

Lys peeked her head around the corner of her cell. She saw a dark shape and using her senses, she heard the reloading of a gun. Guards. She could smell the metallic scent of fresh blood flowing from the dark shape in the corridor, it had been shot. Ignoring her superego, and listening to her id, for what seemed like once in forever, she crept silently out of her cell.

The pungent aroma of blood and his faltering balance digressed him from his sidetracked (brainless) musings and he wrapped an arm around himself. Fingers firmly pressed against the red smear on his side, knowing to do so and doing so despite the agonizing enhancement of the pain that it brought. It was honest to god inertia tha triggered him all the time and he, stuck between human and canine, couldn't muster enough singularly directed brain function to figure out which side to tipp over or follow. In all truth, he wasn't sane enough to know anything about either sides and his possible choice between them. All he was aware of right now was pain...

His plump lips parted, face twisting in pain and he gasped, a slight whimper exiting his throat.

Only now did he look away from the duo up ahead and as he lowered his head weakly, his heavy lidded gaze caught a pinprick of light just to his left.

Eyes.

Of all things, the dim lighting of the hallway had illuminated a pair of glossy sapphire eyes, catching in them and attaching a sharp gleam to their already watery surface. It was... honestly chilling. In all truth, the orbs looked uncanny on the background of a sunken in face and yellow skin, completely contrasting to the person's crude appearance with their surreal qualities. They stood out beneath the dirty strands of blonde hair, staring straight at him with burning intensity.

And he stared back, wide chocolate eyes, not so glossy and much less tainted, transfixed on hers.

She started. It was facing her, correction, he was facing her. Lys could easily tell that the creature facing her was a boy, a man perhaps, not much older than 19 and not possibly younger than 16. He seemed to be a shape shifting mutant, his body a mixture between a lupine animal and a human's. Lys smiled reflexively, her mother had told her that the best hello was always a smile. 'It signifies friendship,' the nasally voice of her mother penetrated her mind. However, Lys was almost certain her smile would appear to look like a feral snarl.

He had brown eyes, the color of some sweet tasting delicacy she could not name at the moment. Lys had seen brown eyes before, but none that made her feel lost. She could not remember. Hmm, that was a new feeling. A name was on the tip of her tongue, not this boy's name, someone else's. She groped blindly through her memory but couldn't find it.

Lys heard a whimper. He was hurt. Ignoring every scream and threat her superego hurled at her, she tiptoed silently to his side. But what could she do?

@mila_titan @skittlejg Is it godmod if I control the guards? I generally consider non-player chracters universally controlled unless it's for a person's singular benefit. xD And anyawys, I'll be taking only two. =3 @featherstar_stormclan @spiritkoi

Truly, his pivotal instinct should've been to flee from the unknown stranger upon first approaching movement from her side, but his human mind obscured any and all innate fixed-action patterns. He wasn't thinking soberly -- the pain, suspiciously dulling (and pulling his entire nervous system down with it), clouded his thoughts and though he did not have many, his better judgement (in this case, the more uncivilized one) got muddled.

He smiled. His eyes widened, eyebrows rising in happiness and he smiled open-mouthedly, so very overjoyed that the gentle-looking human thing was coming forward. Perhaps that wasn't the reason at all, but he felt a surge of light-headedness take over him, and mindlessly reached forward, rising on his knees, as if aiming to come in contact with the stranger.

I must warn you, he may be a bit drugged on pain rn, but my baby actually clings a lot in real too.

Tiptoeing was causing a tremendous amount of strain on the muscles in her calves that weren't there. Lys had no choice but to walk normally. She could hear the pitter-patter of her bare feet. Suddenly, she felt weak, well, even weaker than she had felt in years. A brief feeling of helplessness came over her. What could she do about her situation? Her mental capabilities weren't going to help a body that couldn't move. But that feeling of pity left as soon as she saw his smile.

The boy was grinning at her. Why? Lys couldn't understand. It seemed so unfathomable that one would want to display any attributes of happiness right now. It was a look of kindness she had not seen in awhile. Friendship? It was an ancient concept in her heart, and yet still foreign to her mind. She could not suppress the urge to smile back.

And then suddenly he was lurching forward as if to fall. His eyes were pained and his smile, fading. She hurried towards him, not bothering to keep track of the guards and caught him before he could fall onto the concrete.

The muscles around his bullet coiled in on themselves, constricting the blood-clogged wound and weighing down on his insides. He gasped again, a quiet moan of pain in tow.
While he wasn't at all prepared for a close encounter with the floorboards, the feeling of weightlessness came as a surprise entirely. In a moment, his skin registered warmth, radiating from his right side in particular, since the girl was apparently careful not to touch or scrape his other side.
He sunk effortlessly in the warm embrace, heavy against her, what with his own superior weight. He ended up with a wired forearm conveniently draped over her shoulderas a mainstay and his head hung against her other one.

He let out another snuffle, trying to shake the sleep-inducing dizziness off.

On a side note, I didn't really intend for this to happen! xD I kind of wanted to play him out as light-headedly happy and reaching towards her with a smile, like 'gimme huggggg' but there's no need to edit. xD I'll play along.

@jupiter_hollow No, it's fine, as long as you don't make them a recurring character in your posts. And where exactly are you right now? @featherstar_stormclan @mila_titan @tillypup @spiritkoi
______

Michael tugged on the girl's arm. They ran through the halls, and eventually he pulled her back into the black cells from which they came.

He put his finger up to his lips, signalling the girl to be quiet. He watched as a few bullets whizzed by, then the stampede of guards. Their shadows barely reached Michael body, climbing his feet, but he still squeezed himself into the corner as best his could, grabbing the girl who he had met and keeping her close. He tried not to think about anything. He wasn't too friendly, and certainly didn't want to be squeezed in a corner with a minor whose name he was unaware of.

As the guards passed and he heard more farther away, he stepped out, not noticing if the girl was following him or not. He almost gasped at the carnage. They were his cell mates, whose faces he didn't know, but felt sorry for anyway, like they had a connection. He never realized how many people were trapped here. At least 40, possibly more. He could see victims all through the halls.

As he walked, he left footprints in blood. He couldn't take it; he stepped onto a yellow disk of plasma created by himself. He couldn't see the tiles anymore, not with his red footprints streaked across them.

"Coming," he said to the girl, holding out a hand.

The heavy foot fall of the guards seemed to drew closer and the boy's grip on her wrist never lessened. The walls became familiar until, Ashlin realized, the were headed back towards the cell blocks. They moved over the bodies of the fallen and she tried to pull away.

This was wrong. They were supposed to be leaving, not going back. Suspicion rose in her throat, this could be a trap. He pulled her into the darkness of a cell and held her close. Ashlin squirmed in his grip but he hardly seemed to notice.

He signaled for her to be quiet and she felt hysterical laughter bubbling up and clamped her mouth shut. The guards passed right by the cell and continued down the hallway not even pausing outside the cell where they hid. Ashlin thanked the universe for small miracles.

The boy finally released her and moved back against the wall assessing the situation. The boy had now moved towards the door and peered out into the hall. She wouldn't be able to fight him off. He had already proved that he was stronger than her. If she could just make it past him, she might be able to escape on her own. She would track down her family and try to make sense of the last few years.

Ashlin snuck closer to him getting ready to rush past him. Suddenly she was on the floor, she had slipped?! The boy didn't move despite the sound. He continued staring. She followed his gaze to the hallway.

Their fellow captives lay about the floor. Never in her life had Ashlin wished more that she hadn't been right. The guards didn't seem to have spared any one. Her heart clenched. She hadn't had many opportunities to spend time with anyone but she was sure that none of the deserved this. After years in this place they should have at least had a moment of freedom. They shouldn't have died here.

Her eyes caught his face. He looked so sad and for an odd moment she wondered if he had been thinking the same thing. He stepped forwards, paused as the blood pooled around his feet and then a yellow disk appeared.

He held out a hand to her, "coming." It didn't really sound like a question and she didn't really have much of a choice. He hadn't proved to be a threat, yet. But most people don't seem to be. Ashlin narrowed her eyes thinking for a moment. Then stepped up unto the glowing platform without taking his hand. Her foot didn't sink through like she imagined it would. She kept her distance avoiding his gaze and his touch.

Featherstar, mine and your charrries are going to meet each other, ok?

As Andrea waited, she took in that zero people heard her. She sighed, having forgotten that she could only make a whisper of a sound when invisible. Andrea started to move around again. Narrowly avoiding gunshots, she retreated into a room. Another girl was occupying it. And she was looking right at Andrea. Sensing to take off her invisibility, she quickly made herself visible and said, "I'm Andrea. What's your name?"
