@skittlejg
I'm not having any problems changing my creatures profiles.
Can you provide a screenshot?

@newlife Yea. I encountered a second problem too.

When I tried to type "hi" in one of my creature profiles:

and when I tried to type "hi" in a different creature profile:

@skittlejg - I just tested one of my creature profiles, and this isn't happening to me. Strange. :/ Want me to ping a mod, or something?

@skittlejg

Could you send in a ticket containing those screenshots and your browser information? I'm not experiencing the same problem as you, so we'll probably have to get Ian to take a look at what causes those error messages 😊 Thanks!

@skittlejg

Could you send me a link to the creature profile you're trying to edit?

Thanks. I am looking into this.

@Ian

Here is the only one that says Disallowed Key Characters. All the others say the Egg ID field is required, but this is the one that originally said it.

I was able to change them when I went on my Ipad, could it be my computer? I use Google Chrome and tried resetting my settings, but it still does the same thing.

@skittlejg

For this creature, click on the "Edit Profile" icon. Once the pop up has loaded (presumably with "Disallowed key characters"), RIGHT CLICK in the pop up and select "View Frame Source." Can you tell me what the URL of the frame source is? It'll be in the URL bar at the top of the browser window.

For the other creature, do something similar:

1. Launch the "Edit Profile" pop up
2. Right click inside the pop up -> select View Frame Source
3. CTRL/CMD + F
4. Search for "eggid"
5. It should look something like this:

input type="hidden" name="eggid" value="427306"

Does it say that? What number is in the value="" quotes? Let me know.

Have you tried clearing Google Chrome's cache and all temporary files and cookies? Let me know.

@Ian

Well, for the first one, at first it just does what it normally does and lets me type the creatures profile. When I did view frame source for that this popped up:
view-source:http://eggcave.com/profiles/update_creature_profile/1063312

But when I try to click Update Creature Profile and the box said Disallowed Key Characters:
view-source:http://eggcave.com/profiles/update_creature_profile/1063312

For the second one it says exactly what you said it should, "427306"

And yes, when I restored the default setting for Chrome I also cleared the cache and cookies (and I assume all temporary files).
