Glados and me discovered what brainfarts really are. They are burps. We THINK burps come from below, but it's actually a fart of your brain that comes out! And we also discovered why your brain farts more when you drink Cola, Sprite, and things like that:
The liquid goes to your stomach, but the bubbles go up, to your brain! The brain absorbs them, and because it's so much air your brain has to fart 😱

I think brainfarts are when your brain become preoccupied with another task. And the membranes stop sending information for a minute thus your stimuli do not respond.
