Maybe you remember... The Good Old Days

Hi. Hello. Hola. Bonjour.

oh, the good old days... does anyone remember Eggcave 2012? When the Clocat was created? When people were big into RPs? Or is everyone relatively new here?

I'm sorry. I should introduce myself. I'm Sarah, further known as Sarahsaurus. If anyone remembers @Gabbyrq maybe you remember me. We were the creators of the Clocat, and now all my creatures are dead. Well, that's not entirely true. @otto holds gabbyrq's and my creatures that we colected together. The immortal ones. The 2011-2012 ones. So, I guess I haven't lost everything.

Well, here I am. Back for the first time in what, 2 years?

Half of the "new" creatures I don't know the name of, and Eggcave has changed so much. I remember the days of good old Eggcave roleplays. Do you? So....

Who wants to start a roleplay? Maybe I'll bring back some memories today.

I remember all the way back to 2010! @ptheq was my first account. I remember when the snolo, berr, and guinstar were new, and when the halldrag was created!

Ahh... 2012 *nostalgia* The year of I first joined on a another account. The first year of the advent tree. I didn't know how to use commas yet and made lots of spelling. I was in the fourth grade. The forums were redesigned. Lots have changed in the past couple of years
A year of a bygone era.

For me personally, 2012 and 2014 are both different eras of time. Basically the 2012 era has been ending for a while and the end is completed. The signs of this is when we start to get threads talking about past era nostalgia and when we feel nostalgia towards that era, this counts for other sites. 2012 and 2014 have different mods, different rules, and most importantly, different users and the lack of CC gifting. This current era is still pretty young, so I can wait. We have a new set of active users now.

Hehe I feel so old; I joined egg cave at the end of 2009 with @bumblebee13_7 - it's a little strange thinking about how egg cave used to be ^^

I still remember how excited I was when they introduced CC xD And when they first let us see which egg we were stealing from the cave before it was actually stolen 😊

The Clocat was just adorable! I remember having one, but it died because I took an unexpected hiatus.

Haha, we haven't talked much but I definitely remembered you! I think you had a Balrog as your featured back then... Hmmm I may be wrong.

Ahh... those were the times... drowning in notifications, going through my x3 stage (I probably still haven't stopped that yet aaaa-), destroying the livepulse with the Vocaloid troop.

Such fun times, but now everything's changed. :c

I know I don't do much here on eggcave like topic wise or actually talking to people but I remember eggcave back in 2009 when Mos really were the rarest creature (I remember trading a Balrogipuwet egg for my first one), and when trading was based more so on the value of the creature according to the person that wanted it not to how many existed in the world. Back when the archives wasn't nearly as big the game was more about collecting creatures you liked and talking with people on the blog because topics like this didn't exist. I also remember hating this design of eggcave and using the old one until it switched over completely.
