Clyde nodded to Zane in acknowledgement as he left, and took the chair that he had been sitting in. Leanne watched as Zane left and almost decided to follow him, but it was probably best that he had some alone time. She then dragged a chair over from the other side of the room and placed it on the other side of Elina's bed. She sat down and hugged her knees against her chest, glancing at Elina before flinching and looking away. Leanne felt terrible for the girl. Seeing her like this made her feel awful. It didn't help that she had so many various needles poking into her, either.

Clyde looked over at Leanne, curiously. "What's up with you?"

"I just feel really bad for her and Zane. Plus, I'm not a fan of needles and the entire hospital setting, like I told you before," Leanne said, hugging her knees closer to her chest. "I have my reasons for feeling that way, but I think that's a story for another time."

"I feel bad for her too... and I see," Clyde said with a frown. "Hopefully she isn't asleep forever," he said with a sigh.

A nurse noticed that their were still people with Elina and she walked over to them. "Visiting hours just ended so unless your family you have to leave." The nurse sated with an angry glare at the two.

Another nurse noticed the other nurse and rolled her eyes. This nurse's name was Cat and she was a good friend of Elina's. Cat walked over to the other nurse and glared at her. "Leave them be, Witch." Cat growled. The other nurse was offended by her nickname and she quickly ran off. "So are you her boyfriend or something because you sure look worried for her, Clyde?" Cat asked Clyde, teasingly.

((Her name's Cat because she is a Weretiger but the officials don't know))

Zane heard an annoyed male voice and he stood up. Zane wiped his tears and then glared at the boy. "You don't tell me what to do and tell me this, what would you do if your sister was dying?" Zane growled, his sad, pathetic voice replaced by an angry, cold voice.

Aaron snorted and crossed his arms, returning the other's glare completely. "Wouldn't know. Probably get blamed for it and chased off again," he replied icily. "I am a monster after all, 'family' doesn't apply to me." If getting the kid angry stopped him from crying, then good. Anything was better than dealing with someone crying so annoyingly.

Clyde looked over at Cat and rolled his eyes. He wasn't in the mood for jokes like he normally would be. "Hah. Hah. Very funny, Cat. Is it wrong for me to be concerned about someone who I just witnessed almost die," he asked, rhetorically. "I'm just worried because I'm her brother's mentor, and this will effect him in training," Clyde said as he hurriedly made up an excuse for being worried. He was afraid to have genuine feelings for anyone, even as a friend. He knew from experience that the people that mattered in his life to any degree were always ripped away. It was safer to not think of anyone as a friend or anything beyond that.

Leanne sighed and glanced over at the nurse. She didn't want her to be offended by what Clyde had just said, since she had just shooed the other nurse off for them. "I'm sure what he means to say is thank you for helping us," Leanne said before Clyde could get out another word.

Cat smirked at Clyde. 'The exact reaction I was looking for' Cat thought as she gave Clyde a smile. "Don't worry Clyde. You can be honest. I won't tell" Cat stated in a half-teasing voice. Then she looked over at the girl and gave her a smile. "This must not really be your scene but I'm glad your here for her" Cat exclaimed in a grateful and kind voice. Then she dared a glance at her dying friend and nearly died too. Elina was very pale and her skin listened with sweat even though her skin was icy cold. "She has to wake up. She has to" Cat mumbled as she gripped the bed for support. "Clyde, you want me to tell you something about Elina. It's a secret so don't tell anyone after I tell you" Cat whispered so only Clyde could hear and she looked at him with her yellow eyes glassy.

Zane narrowed his eyes at the boy and then straightened up. "Well right now, I think your personality is more of a monster rather than yourself" Zane growled, his eyes turning red with anger and fire. Then Zane shook the anger away and began to head in the direction of the Infirmary but stopped and turned around to look at the boy. "You really aren't that bad" Zane exclaimed with a nod and then he continued to walk to the Infirmary.

Chris heard Rosemary say Sam didn't look good so Chris glanced at Sam. He really didn't. "Maybe we can skip Lunch" Chris exclaimed, her voice calm but a little shaky.

Aaron watched the other start to leave and turned around to address him again. He stood there stunned for a moment before shaking it off and yelling back. "Yeah right. If you really care for that sister of yours why're you standing here talking to me?" Once he saw that the other had left he continued on his way to the cafeteria.

Clyde looked away from Cat, back towards Elina. "I know what you want to hear, and I'm not going to say it because it isn't true. Around here, with people dying every single day, it's dangerous to care the slightest in any way for anyone," he said with a frown, trying to convince himself of what he just said.

Leanne bit her lip as she heard Clyde's words. She knew what he was saying was most likely true, just like it had been back at T.P.S. It was always best to stay away from people, to try and have the smallest amount of friends possible. She then nodded at the nurse. "Yeah this kind of stuff really isn't for me. I just arrived earlier this morning, after all," Leanne said, realizing that it had only been half of a day since she came. It seemed far longer than that.

Clyde was thinking the exact same thing; it had been such a long day already. Far more eventful than normal. He then furrowed his eyebrows and looked Cat in the eye, not sure as to why she was offering to tell him a secret. "I don't think Elina would appreciate me knowing some secret, especially considering the current situation and all," he whispered back, unsure of himself.

Cat stared right back into Clyde's eyes. "She told me to tell you this if she ever died so I guess this counts. The secret is that she likes you not as a friend but more than that and if you actually think the way you do and if she wakes up, I want you to stay away from her because I don't want her heart to get broken" Cat whispered with a small growl at the end. Then she leaned away from Clyde and looked back at Leanne. "Well, I better get going because I should be treating patients not chanting with friends so bye guys" Cat exclaimed with a smile but she narrowed her eyes at Clyde before walking away.

Zane heard what the boy yelled even though he was farther down the hall and what he said hit Zane hard. 'He's right. Why was I standing there talking to him even though I should be with Elina?' Zane thought as he clenched his fists. "Because you were distracting yourself from the pain" Zane reassured himself as he stopped in front of the Infirmary entrance. 'It'll cause more pain if you go and see her. Just wait in the Waiting Area' Zane told himself. He agreed and walked into the Waiting Area and sat in a chair.

Clyde glared at Cat when she spoke. "Yeah, bye," he said, flatly as she walked away. He felt worse than ever after what she had told him. Maybe she was just messing with him when she said Elina liked him, but what if it was true? Clyde shook his head, trying to clear it. He didn't know how to feel about anyone. The past had taught him that it was best to not even have friends, but maybe that wasn't right to think. Clyde only knew that he would have to start thinking of people as friends before he went further, and he wasn't even sure that he could manage to do that. Old habits did die hard.

"Everything alright," Leanne asked after Cat had walked away. It seemed like she had been somewhat angry with Clyde, and he looked confused.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he nodded and leaned back in his chair. "Just tired. Its been a long day... normally isn't this chaotic on any given day."

"I'd hope so," Leanne said, quietly while resting her chin on her knees. She was starting to feel anxious from sitting around, but she had yet to learn her way around. She just figured that she had to stick with Clyde for the time being, he seemed like her best means of protection from soldiers anyways.

Elina began to heal faster once the wolf took over and soon her eyes fluttered open but her eyes were more wolf than human. Elina shook her head to gain back control over her body and groaned when the pain returned in a dull ring. She blinked a few times before she realized where she was. 'Why am I in the Infirmary?' Elina asked herself. She tried to remember why but couldn't. The last thing she remembered was the ambush and the crash. "Where is John?" Elina asked, her eyes frantically looking around for him. Then she remembered he died and she couldn't accept that. Her eyes began to tear up and she pulled at her hair. "They can't be dead" Elina repeated to herself and then she looked up again and saw Clyde and Leanne at her bedside. "Where's my brother?" Elina asked, she knew he could calm her down. Elina began to frantically look around for her brother. She tried to stand but was stopped by wires that were attached to her body and she began to struggle to get them off.

Some nurses noticed Elina had woken up but she was a bit disoriented. They ran over to her when they saw her try to stand. "Hold her down" one nurse shouted. Some male nurses and doctors held Elina down, while a nurse injected Elina with a sedative. "Hold her until she's unconscious" the nurse stated before she pulled Leanne and Clyde out of their chairs. "Go wait in the Waiting Area until she is stable again" the nurse ordered before she went back over to Elina.

Elina felt a pinch in her neck and then she began to feel drowsy. "Zane" was her last word before she went to sleep.

Zane was woken up by a commtion but he was too drowsy to care to much. 'Please Elina be safe' Zane thought as he stared around the room in a half-awake state.

Clyde stared in shock when he noticed Elina's eyes fluttering, and before he knew it they were open. He was about to attempt to calm her down, but was knocked out of the way by the nurses as they sedated her. One of the nurses tried to shoo Leanne and him out of the room, but Clyde stayed put. "Go get Zane, I'm not leaving her alone with these people," he ordered Leanne before going to stand at the bedside once again. He narrowed his eyes at the nurses, daring them to try and throw him out. Clyde didn't plan on going anywhere, at least not until Zane arrived.

Leanne rushed out of the room in a panic, not even thinking about the fact that she didn't know her way around the compound. Or where Zane could be for that matter. In her thought, she almost walked right past him in his chair before doing a double take and running back. "Zane, she's awake! Doesn't look like you are, but she is! Well, she was awake, the nurses sedated her though. She started to get upset for some reason. From what I understood, 'John and them' are dead and it's clearly not sitting well with her," Leanne explained, quickly before grabbing Zane by the arm and dragging him back to the room. "Just, c'mon. You have to be there the next time she wakes up."

Aaron sighed as he couldn't get that kid's crying out of his mind. He didn't get how anyone could get that attached to another, blood related or not. He started grumbling to himself as he tried and failed to stop thinking about that mysterious sister that boy cared so much about. He grew frustrated when his curiosity made him lose his appetite. Maybe if he figured out what made that kid care so much he could get back to his lunch in peace. With a frustrated noise he moved into the shadows and made his way towards the Infirmary. He assumed the girl was in there, it was the only real place that made any sense if she dying like the boy said. Sure enough, he saw the kid sitting outside and restrained his annoyed huff before going in and moving until he was at one of the nurses desks and came out of the shadows, them dripping off him and returning to the original shadow. "I really shouldn't do that kind of thing..." he murmured quietly before leaning against the desk, feeling a headache start.

The head nurse noticed Clyde hadn't left like she instructed and she gave him a dirty look before she walked off. All the doctors and nurses that had held Elina down had left but Cat kept coming by to check to make sure Elina was stable. "She is sure one strong fighter because by what the doctors had said earlier, she should of died" Cat exclaimed before she walked over to her original patient.

Zane stumbled to keep up with Leanne as she pulled him along but he was now wide awake and happy that his sister had pulled through. When they got to Elina's bedside, he pulled the chair as close as it would go and he held Elina's hand. "I didn't think she would wake up so soon" Zane stated with surprise as he stroked his sister's hand. He looked at the blue lines on her neck and saw the blue was darker and more spread out. 'Please be a good sign' Zane thought as he stared at the mark.

Once Zane and her had returned to the room, Leanne retrieved the chair that one of the nurses had taken, and sat down diagonal to the bedside. Like before, she brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Leanne had a feeling they'd be there for a while, much to her dislike. She felt more uncomfortable than usual in this room.

Clyde leaned back against the nearest wall and nodded in agreement with Zane. "Yeah, it hasn't been that long since she passed out," Clyde stated before noticing that Zane was looking at the mark on the back on Elina's neck. It somehow looked different. "Is that a good sign? Do you have anything like that," Clyde asked Zane, remembering that he had mentioned that he had been affected by Faery blood poisoning. Maybe he wouldn't have any sort of mark though, since Elina and him hadn't been affected in the same exact way.

Zane finally looked away from his sister's mark when Clyde began to talk. "I don't know if it is good but I hope it is and no I don't have anything like that" Zane answered as he looked up at Clyde but then Zane remembered something. "Actually when I use my powers to much the veins in my eyes turned that color blue and its painless but I don't think this is the same thing." Zane added as he lightly touched his sister's mark. The mark seemed to brighten under Zane's touch and make Elina's breathing go ragged. He quickly pulled his hand away and stared at her mark and then at his hand in disbelief. "You saw that right?" Zane asked to no one in particular.

Leanne stared from Elina to Zane after he pulled his hand away. This day just kept getting more and more crazy by the minute. "Yeah... I don't think I'd try that again, at least until she's conscious," she said, curious as to what had just happened.

"She's right, you don't know if it hurts her or not. It's probably best to try it when she's awake later on. You can at least get her input on how it effects her then," Clyde said to Zane before looking around. "Is there a clock anywhere around here? I can't tell if we've already missed the first training session or not. I have a feeling it wouldn't be good for either of you if you did though."

Zane agreed with Leanne and Clyde. What he had just done could cause serious damage or make things better. Zane looked at the mark again and saw it was nearly black now and was lightning up like it was disappearing. "Its Disappearing" Zane exclaimed after he saw a small portion of the mark disappear. 'Could what I had just done have caused that?' Zane thought as he stared at his hand.

Even though Cat was a distance from the group she could hear what was being said. Cat heard "Its disappearing" and knew that wasn't good. "Oh Clyde, its 3:45 so that means you have 45 minutes until the first Training Session." Cat exclaimed before she walked over to Elina's bedside and looked at her mark. "This isn't good. This means the poison is now in her bloodstream, which means she has a 15% chance of waking up" Cat stated as her sunny day turned into a stormy day with extra lightning.

Zane nearly screamed when he heard what the nurse had said. He slumped back into his chair and buried his face into his hands. 'Could this day get any worse?' Zane thought as he began to sob.

Clyde stood, stiffly against the wall. He felt like he had been punched in the gut for the hundredth time today. Forcing himself to get up, he started making his way to the door. He didn't want to break down, he couldn't allow himself to. "I'm going to the Training Room. If you two want to make a good first impression, it's best to be there when the Training Session starts," he said quietly, hiding his emotions as he walked out of the Infirmary and began making his way down the hall.

Leanne sat there, frozen throughout the entire change in events. She looked after Clyde as he walked out and found herself feeling lost and confused. For one, how was she supposed to go to the Training Session when she her mentor was unconscious and near death. Well, maybe they'd just assign her a new one.

Then there was Zane... the poor guy. Leanne couldn't imagine how hard it all was for him. She sat there, awkwardly for a few moments before opening her mouth to speak. "There's still a chance she'll make it. She woke up before when there was the huge chance that she wouldn't. I'm sure this will turn out fine too," Leanne said, feeling unsure of herself, but trying to look positive for Zane's sake.

Zane couldn't hear anything being said around him all he could hear was his heart breaking. "This is my fault" Zane muttered as another sob was released and he buried his face in his hands again.

Cat couldn't leave Elina so she got her assigned patient replaced with Elina. Cat watched Zane as she stood at the foot of Elina's bed and she heard him mutter something about this being his fault. She moved around the bed and knelt in front of Zane. "Zane, look at me" Cat whispered, trying to hold back her own tears.

Zane sniffled, wiped his eyes and then looked up at Cat. "What is it, Cat?" Zane croaked.

Cat took a deep breath before she looked up at Zane. When she saw his tear stained cheeks, his puffy eyes and his depressing frown, Cat nearly curled into a ball and balled her eyes out but she stayed strong and looked Zane in the eye. "Zane, none of this is your fault and if Elina was awake right now she would want you to be strong." Cat whispered with a surprisingly confident voice.

"Well thats the thing she isn't awake and probably will never wake up again" Zane screamed. He stood up so fast from his chair that it flipped backwards and then Zane ran from the Infirmary. Zane headed no where in particular but when he stopped running he saw he was back at the dorms. He went into his room and decided to take a shower to try and wash the pain away.

Cat watched wide eyed at Zane as he screamed and then ran out of the Infirmary. She stood up from her crouched position and looked at the girl(Leanne). "I wasn't expected that. Well I guess your left alone here. Do you need my help because I could show you around while Clyde and Zane are being boys?" Cat exclaimed in a half-serious tone.

Leanne watched Zane practically lose it in the shocked state that she had been in so much today. She looked at Cat and nodded. "Yeah, he sure isn't taking it well. You can't blame him though," she said while fiddling with her thumbs. "But, um, sure? If I'm not interfering with your schedule or anything," Leanne said quietly and stood up. "My name's Leanne, by the way. Don't think I ever introduced myself."

Clyde made his way to the training room and walked straight over to a bench press. There weren't many people here given the current time, so there was plenty of equipment open for use. He then set up his weights and began a rigorous workout. After a while, when he was the only one left in the gym, he got some water from a nearby machine. Clyde chugged it down and angrily went back to his bench press to do more. Just as he started, however, he heard someone come in, but decided not to pay any attention to it.

"You know it's dangerous to do that without a spotter."

Clyde put his weight down and sat up, looking over at a tall and muscular human soldier in the usual uniform, with blonde hair that came up to a point at the front. "Well, I'm a supernatural. I don't think my safety is of any concern," Clyde said with a joking smile. He knew he could joke around with this guy, who's name was Lucas. While he was the son of one of the top officials, he sure didn't act like it. Lucas actually treated supernaturals like they were no different than anyone else, he was simply a nice guy. If Clyde weren't so unsure about thinking of people as friends, Lucas would be a very good one in his mind.

"That's very true, I completely forgot. Go ahead and do all the dangerous stuff you want then, we can easily replace you," Lucas said in a joking manner, just like Clyde and him had always done. He walked over and sat down at a neighboring bench press, and faced Clyde. "Where have you been? Everyone's been wondering that," Lucas said, referring to their normal group of humans. Well, all humans and one supernatural.

"I've been busy with another new recruit I got assigned to mentor. They seem to give me one after the other to train," Clyde said with a sigh. "What's new with you though?"

Lucas gave a good natured laugh. "Well you always produce the best soldiers, it's no wonder you keep getting assigned. Nothing out of the ordinary though, I've just been with the guys, as usual. Smith and Burney have been beating up some of the newer recruits, I got tired of watching so I came here," Lucas said with a sad smirk. "You okay though? You don't seem like yourself."

Clyde sighed. Of course Lucas would see through his act. The guy knew him far too well. "I'm fine, its just been a rough day... I don't feel up to talking about it right now."

Lucas nodded, understandingly. He stood up and slapped Clyde on the shoulder before walking over to the treadmills. "Alright. Let's do some running then. Maybe I can go further than you this time, since you're already beat."

Clyde laughed and walked over to the treadmills. "You're on."

Cat gave Leanne a kind smile. "Well Leanne, I'm Darcy but just call me Cat" Cat stated with the same kind smile. She was trying to stay and look happy so she wouldn't break down and cry. "You aren't interrupting my schedule at all. Come on. Where do you want to go?" Cat replied as she turned and looked at the clock a good 5ft from her but she used her cat site and saw it was 4:15. "Well dang, I guess we better just head to the Training Room. We only have 15 minutes though so we better hurry" Cat stated as she grabbed Leanne's arm and began to pull her along as they headed for the Training Room.

Sam snapped out of his trance. Looking up at Rosemary then chris and then rosemary again, sam only had enought energy to gasp.

"Help" sam said looking at rosemary before collasping. Coughing up blood, sam slipped into the darkness as the people walked up to him.

Chris screamed when she saw Sam collapse. "We have to help him" Chris muttered, her voice all shaky and her eyes teary. She knelt down by Sam and tried to lift him up but his weight overpowered her and she got no where. "Rosemary, help me" Chris croaked as she looked up at Rosemary.

Sam felt something stir him, so letting his only good eye open he saw chris trying to help him, she was saying something but he didnt understand what. trying to hold himself up, his arms gave out sending his face crashing into the ground. Looking up his good eye was blurred from the blood now seeping steadliy from his nose and eye.

Looking at chris and then rosemary, sam ralized he was probably going to die.

"H...hel....." gasped sam, as he choked for breath. all he saw was rosemary as his head dropped to the floor again. As sam slipped into deep unconsiousness, he had fleeting thoughts of his parents, tom, chris, and rosemary.

When Chris saw all the blood coming out of Sam's body, she felt a wave of adrenaline wash over her. She was able to lift Sam and run faster then ever. She knew this was a job for somewhere greater than the Training Room. She sped around the halls until she found what looked like the entrance to the Infirmary. Once through the door, the adrenaline left her body and she fell to the ground because of Sam's weight.

Some nurses that were nearby noticed the urgency of Sam's situation and helped Chris lead his unconscious form to a bed. Once of the bed, the nurses shooed Chris away and she obliged because his blood was all over her and she knew she needed a shower.

As Chris was exiting the Infirmary, she recognized a body in one bed. 'No, this isn't real' Chris thought as she turned her head and knew it wasn't a trick of the eye. "Elina" Chris croaked as she slowly walked over to Elina's bedside. "How did I miss this?" Chris asked herself out loud. One glance at Elina and Chris knew if she didn't leave the Infirmary, she was going to die of a broken heart. Chris bolted from the Infirmary and ran all the way back to her dorm.

Chris stripped and then jumped into the shower. As she washed Sam's blood off, the only thing he could thin about was Elina's pale face. Once the blood was gone and Chris's hair was washed, she turned off the water and jumped out of the shower. Once dried off, she slipped on a new pair of clothes and then left her dorm. "Time for training" Chris muttered as she noticed the time on a clock in the hall.

Sam began to have vivid nightmares. Thought of his death him clutching his chest tore open , scene of him screaming in agony while he was being roped apart piece by piece.

Waking up screaming in pain sam rolled himsel of the bed. He didn't know where he was but he knew the pain was unbearable. Grabbing a syringe and standing up shakily Sam began threaten ly pointing it at the nurse trying to calm him down. Seeing that his only way out was blocked by a nother nurse sam collapsed crying from not only the pain but the exhaustion.

You can let go, Sam thought. Just give up.

Sam could just slip into an endless sleep. Sam could just die right here. Closing his eyes he saw rosemary and Chris.

Let go sam, he thought.

His grip on the syringe was loosening.

"C...chri-"

Sam dropped the syringe and lay on the floor giving up.

"R...rose...ma...ary"

Rosemary stared in shock as Sam slowly closed his eyes. "No.." He murmured. "Don't let go of this life, Sam.. You might not get another soon.." He looked around the room. Another girl was right next to them. Chris looked like she wanted to cry, so Rosemary was led to believe she knew the girl. She looked pretty close to dying, too. "Never let go.." He whispered, drying his damp eyes on his sleeve.

As Sam lay on the floor he had thougth of his parents, their death. He also had thoughts of the people he had met just today. Chirs and rosemary, they were so nice...

He just couldnt leave them, he felt he took the easy way out. BUt he had no more energy to go on, he couldnt see out of an eye, and had internal bleeding form the pills.

Suddenly, in his deep unconsiousness, Sam heard a voice. It was very faint at first, but slowly grew. He felt himself regaining consiousness. Letting his good eye opn a slit, sam saw rosemary. Gasping for breath, sam grabbed rosemarry's arm.

"Ro...s...s" sam choked out at rosemary, as he tried to cling to life. It was pretty hard, but sam saw rosemary and was filled with new hope, that he just couldnt leave his friends.

"H...el...elp...p...lea...s...se"

"CHRIS!" Rosemary called. "HELP HIM!" Rosemary wasn't sure what to do. He remembered that he had no herbs with him. "Sam.. Hold on buddy.." It was the first time he had called anyone buddy, but he didn't know it.
