As civilizations fell and new ones rose the gods brought along with them faded into myths in the minds of humans. Of course, they don't fade themselves. The longing for worshipers have forced into a decision.

You are an avatar of a god. The gods of the Greco-Roman pantheon, Hindu pantheon, Nordic pantheon, and Egyptian pantheon have chosen one of their own to become mortal so they may find which pantheon will become the supreme religion. You. Although you may have once been a god, you will be fully mortal. If you die you will be gone.. forever. The winning avatar will absorb your powers and in the end the surviving avatar will lead his/her pantheon to rule the world once more.

You must fight to the death with your fellow avatars to settle this dispute between the gods. But you are human. Will you follow this destiny, or forge you own?

This RP is based on the Avatars series by Tui T. Sutherland. If you haven't read it then I recommend you do. Those books are great! Good luck finding the third book, though.

Well this could be fun. 😊 I haven't read the series though, so if that's an important requirement, yeah... But I feel like maybe I should at some point because books.

Anywhat, in that case, I should fill out a form. 😋 So it's gonna be one person per pantheon, correct? So many choices...

I have now started a form. Not really. But I'll try and get it done soon. I've got a couple ideas, though I'm leaning toward Egyptian. I might also fill out some and wait to see what others post before finishing.

Name(same as god) : Anubis (Anu maybe? Idk)
Gender : Male
Pantheon : Egyptian

Power(related to what your god is) : Something like summoning dead things?

Personality : Not particularly talkative, independent and willful, and loyal. He only takes orders from Osiris, and even then, he'll question them if he thinks there's a better course of action. He doesn't usually pick fights with people, preferring to avoid conflict. Though when something or someone he cares about is on the line, he wouldn't hesitate to pick a fight.

Appearance : Average height, athletic, and a little canine in appearance, in spite of his mortal form. His skin is a medium olive tone, and he has straight black hair. Anubis has light brown eyes. He has a few tattoos; one of Osiris on his right hand, one of a collection of canopic jars on his left hip, and one of a jackal running on his collarbone. Maybe more. Not sure.

Other : He keeps a dog from the land of the dead with him now that he's mortal. It looks like a pharaoh hound crossed with a jackal. Because pharaoh hounds look like Egyptian art of jackals.

I am not here because I am strong... Though I like to think that maybe that is part of the reason. Who doesn't like a little flattery once in a while? I am not here because I am a pawn to throw away. Osiris is a close friend to me; he would not treat me like that. I am an asset, after all. He could not run the land of the dead alone.

I am here because I am the guard dog. Osiris sent me because the pantheon needs protection, and I am a guardian. I look after things because Osiris cannot keep everything together single-handedly. Not that he would admit that to anyone else. But I don't mind.

Being a leader was never something I enjoyed. I don't like the spotlight. It is the reason I stepped down without a second thought when Osiris died. He is more suited to leading. I am his right hand. So here I am, walking as a human on Earth. What now, Osiris?

Maybe look for another person for a day, then take out a pantheon if you can't find someone? Four people would be a pretty good number, but it would be fine to have three of us.

Gender : Male
Pantheon : Norse

Power(related to what your god is) : Ullr is the god of winter. He can create and control ice.
Personality : Ullr is a jolly fellow who loves the cold and works hard at things that he does. He loves his family and friends and is very loyal to them. He would do anything for them. Because of this, he has a strong desire to win. Of course, his life is an added incentive. He is usually very honest and straightforward, he's not very good at sneaking around. He isn't especially bright, either. Although he is strong and large physically, he's naïve and eager to please. Ullr is basically a rather large puppy... Who can shoot ice beams.
Appearance : Ullr stands at 6"4, which is quite tall. He is broad and muscled, as he hunts. He's not quite a man yet, but he's getting there. His face is young and smiling, with happy bright blue eyes and a dishevelled mop of fair hair peeking out from under a brown leather cap. He wears a large woollen coat, some comfortable black slacks and snow boots. Under his coat he simply wears a plain shirt.

Sample Paragraph : Leaning against a large tree, Ullr happily whistled a tune, surrounded by a snowy forest. He twisted his giant hands around quite awkwardly. While he peered intensely at them, a clear material began to form between his hands. A grin spread across his ruddy cheeks as the ice grew. He was getting better at this. It used to take him hours of concentration just to conjure up a measly little icicle. Now he could not only make the ice, but bend it to his needs. His mother would be so proud when he told her. He was excited at this prospect and nodded to himself. While he was pondering what his family would say and what he was going to get for dinner, he lost concentration of the flat piece of ice. It dropped on to his foot. "Ow" he grunted, kicking the ice away and grabbing his poor foot. He hopped up and down in pain, wincing. That ice piece had been heavy. He should stop losing concentration when he was bending... But he was having shepherds pie that night and he couldn't help but think about it. He could almost taste it in his mouth. The potato... The mince-meat.. It was going to be so delicious! As the pain died down in his foot, he leaned back against the tree. He had been out in this forest for hours now, practicing. He reckoned he had earned himself a break. Maybe dinner was ready now. With that exciting thought in mind, he turned and made his way home.

Is this okay? XD
