Online User List

I was surfing the site when I realized that...
There was no way to know who was online. Other forums had a function somewhere on there that showed who was online and how many users were online.
I think it would be nice to see who was online. Say if someone was feeding coves, and looked at the list to see who was online, and they could find coves to feed that way.
If this function is added, it would be nice to see how many people are online these days ^^

@newlife I like the idea 😸 also with it users could get to know each other. Also i'm thinking that there could be like a little bar that tells you about new users, today's birthdays 😸

I would like a list of how many people are online, but i don't know about having a list of who are online (maybe the first 15 users who logged in, but not the whole list, if you know what I mean).

I'm not a big fan of this idea
People have secret sides and stuff where they will log on for a few minutes to put them into Tim's and stuff. With an online tab, they would be found and people may start feeding their creatures

For me to agree with this, there needs to be an option to show your username on it, just like having your gender and country hidden

Some sites allow you do hide when you're online
There can be an option saying
"Show on online user list?"
Would that help? ^^

And yeah, just showing username, and if you press it, it links to profile

However - I would add one thing, personally, which would be the ability to opt out. Sorta like @mastergemma said.

Like say, if you wanted to be anonymous for whatever reason, you could check a box that would say 'do not show live status to the public' or something. xD

Like if someone came back from hiatus, and didn't want to make a fuss, or get just spammed with comments and requests to trade or stuffs. haha.

It could be turned on or off whenever you wanted.

About Show on online user list?
I think this would be good for secret side accounts, and as you said, people that have come back with rare creatures and do not want to spammed.

@newlife lol yeah. haha. *has been awake for 24 hours.

And I think it would be best that if this idea were implemented, that it would automatically be set to the 'don't show' so then people could uncheck the box IF they wanted to. So basically they wouldn't be automatically enrolled when this started, yep, to prevent that hiatus spam problem. xD
