The Pup Approaches (Carefully!)

Hi everyone! My name's Tema, and I'm an International Baccalaureate student in my 2nd true year, my 4th total year, and in layman's terms, my senior year! I'm a genderqueer/fluid teen in love with an amazing girl who I've known 6 entire years. (wow!)

I like Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, Animal Crossing, and other cutesy/casual games, though I regularly enjoy a round of Halo, Dead Island, Alan Wake, or a similar action-y game with my girlfriend. I also like racing games, Katamari, and other low-impact games. I'm not great with commitment at times when it comes to my games. If it doesn't grab me tight, I get bored.

Together, we have finished Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion. We are currently playing through Mario Party 8, Mario Kart Double Dash!, and Pikmin. We're considering doing let's plays if we get the proper equipment.

I'm an LGBT youth, as cited above in the gender comment. I'm currently working to build a GSA in my school environment. I am a member of my school's Model UN chapter, Curator and Officer in our National Art Honor Society chapter, possible officer in our Students Against Destructive Decisions chapter, President of our PALS chapter, and Activities Director of our Thespian Society chapter.

I am primarily an art kid, and I spend most of my time working on art. I sometimes do commissions and art trades, but mainly I work on personal pieces for my IB exam. I'm also a theatre kid, and a member of Thespian society, a national honor society for theatre students. I've worked in three completed shows, Sleepy Hollow, Snow Show, and Once on this Island. I've done crew in two and acted in Snow Show. I am currently working crew on a One-Act competition rendition of the Savage Dilemma and acting in the Twelve Daze of Christmas as TeleBillie.

I am planning on going to college for Art, perhaps Art Ed, and minoring in maybe theatre? Set design? I don't know. I'm a mess. I hope to meet some other people with similar interests.

I'll try and keep you in mind. We're thinking about getting a small recorder until we can get a real good one. The one we want is $220 but we're settling for the $11 one for now. I just really like having fun and exploring. And yeah, my life is definitely awesome right now!

I see a small puppy walking around Ark. It looks up at me and i carefully put my hand out in front of me. I slowly walk up to around 3 m away from the pup and await it to come to me....

If you need help feel free to ask because nearly everyone here will he happy to help! You can ping people by writing @ in front of their username and that person will receive a notification saying that you have pinged them on a topic. Why don't you try pinging me?

Other ways of communicating is on a person's wall, you cannot ping on a wall. The Wall is located on the person's profile and if someone writes on your wall you reply to them on THEIR wall, not yours. This is a common mistake seen XD

Another common mistake is seeing players not feeding their own creatures, you CAN feed your own creatures!

Creatures gain levels by gaining feeds, clicks and views. You will notice that even if you have clicked and fed a creature, the level won't increase straight away. This is because levels and views only update once a day, around 3am ECT

Hide your EC (EggCoins) that you get from feeding your pets and other's everyday in your Strongroom and gather the interest every day.
When unable to go on EggCave for a while leave your pets at Tim's Food Shoppe and keep an eye on the Laws of Ark (site guidelines).

To gain some friends take a look at the forum. But make sure you do not revive a 'dead' topic. A topic that has not been active for quite a number of months! There are many threads that are active and many are always happy to chat to new players!

Cave Monthlies are creatures that are only going to be obtainable for this current month, take a look at recent blog posts to see which critters are the current monthlies.

A note, please be careful with trading, many will try to get a better deal out of a newer player just because you are new. Before trading for creatures, please do a little research first!

With the list of creatures, #1 on Eggcave IS NOT the rarest, it is the most common.

Messages that only have a smiley/emote (whatever you call them where you live) are considered spam and are not allowed

Some common things you will see
CC-Cave Cash
UFT- up for trade
TUFT- Tentative up for trade
UFA- up for auction
EC- EggCoins or sometimes EggCave
