Then I turned to Alyss and whispered my reply to sound scary. "Because we are cursed. By somebody." Then I turned around to the Ocelot. "Hullo." I waved the girl forward. "Who are you?" She had very dark hair and ears, whiskers, and a tail. "Geez." I smiled. "Lots of furries." Then I turned back and smiled at the others. "Correct?"

I think you mean stop pinging? Anyways I subscribed.Jubilee nodded. It did seem like almost everyone there had fur of some sort. "So, where do we go? Where do we live?" She asked, a little confrontational. It was in her nature though to be snappy. 'You get the information sraight up or you don't get it at all.' She thought to herself. Her life motto. Basically her motto is I'm gonna ask you straght up for this information, or I'm outta here. She smiled. She looked behind Moonscar and realized there was a forest. 'Well, at least I have someplace pleasent to spend whatever free-time I have.' She thought happily to herself.

{Amaterasu}Amaterasu stared in as she saw a girl that was half snake among others that were also half animal she realized she was too! She replyed anyway, "Um my name is Amaterasu... um I- I have a question.... where are we?"

{Moonscar}I clapped my hands together excitedly. "I'm thinking you go with me." I flicked my tail. "That way. And we live here. In the forest." I waved my hand. "Over time you'll probably build your own house, but as of now, let's just go to my burrow." Then I turned to Amaterasu. "Nice to meet you, Amsaterasssu." I shook my head, not correct. "We are in Arenocyh, a forest-jungle world, and you've been recruited for the Mistwalkers." I put on my best grin and turned to the group. "Come on!" I walked into the mist.

{I've subscribed}Alyss followed the others, her eyes flicked back and forth as she took in the others. A snow-leopard and an Ocelot./So much fur.\ Alyss thought, sighing. /This is going to be fun when we start shedding.\ She rolled her eyes as she glanced around."So we're all part animal, but I don't think we we're always like this, there a reason behind being part animal or is it just a side effect of that magical portal?" The lynx-girl demanded, as she realized she had finger-nail-claws.She sheathed and unsheathed them, watching in awe that she'd never have to clip her nails short again. She only needed to put them away like a cat does.

~Ororos~ Watching the others exchange info was very intriguing to me. I could hear a slight lisp in Moonscar's speech and a sense of urgency in Jubilee's. " I guess I'm not cursed as I don't seem to be part animal." I stated in a sort of questioning manner.

Jubilee looked at the new girl. Her name was… Amaterasu? Yes that was it. Moonscar had said it wrong. She was part ocelot. "Wait, burrow?" She said. I scoffed. "She's a snake. Snakes live in burrows." Suddenly it dawned on her. She couldn't live in a burrow! 'Well.' She thought to herself. 'You'll have to make do with it for now. As soon as you can, you can build a house in the trees.' She smiled. Yes, that would do. She stood up straight, curled her tail up behind her in a dignified manner, and walked off after the others.

{Amaterasu} Amaterasu suddenly remembered that snakes lived in borrows"Hm." She looked and saw the girl (as they hadn't formally meet) playing with her claws Amaterasu looked down she had claws too. she messed with them for a few seconds but then cought up with the rest if she was going to find a place to live she would probaly have to live under some leafy canopies as most ocelots do. Amaterasu caught up with Moonscar and said,"Wait, how will we get food, do we have to catch it?"

@appleblizzard{Moonscar} I shook my head in despair. "Aye aye.." I giggled quietly. "So many questions." I turned to Ametyurrissu first. "Yes, I'm a snake. I live in a burrow. And yes, you could either steal the villagers food or catch it." Then, after a quick second of thinking, I added a bit to it. "Pretty sure catching your food would be easier." I grinned. I turned next to Alyss. "Well... I kinda hoped it was a side effect when I first got here, but I've been here for a few years now, and it hasn't gone away, so.." I kept grinning. "I think that's actually you now." Then I turned to Ororos. I wanted to giggle because I thought of Oreos. They always got you so pumped up when you ate them full, but they were the absolute best when you took them apart. Totally different train of thought. But it did remind me of Oreos, so you can't laugh. "Actually, I think you're the most different out of all of us. You must be a shapeshifter." I turned back around.I smelled smoke. I quickly glanced up. Fog was closing overhead us. "Uh oh.." I worried. "We need to get to my burrow." Then, by way of explaining, I told them what I thought may have happened. "The villagers that live near here.." I waved my hands looking for a word that described them. "They're normal. And they hold grudges." I shuddered with a pause. "They hate Mistwalkers."

Jubilee looked up into the sky. Rain was coming. She flicked her ear in worry. Moonscar was talking about a village, which reminded her of phones. She patted her pocket, and the phone was still in there! She pulled it out. No cracks! "Moonscar," she asked. "Do we have electricity? I was just wondering because, well, I wouldn't tell my parents, but my brother must be worried sick, and my phone survived soo...." She was praying there would be electricity. She missed her twin brother. He would be worried sick about her. If she could just tell him she was ok.....

~Ororos~Ororos quickened his pace to catch up with the others, he was used to bullying and didnt let it bother him. //I wonder how bad the villagers are// He thought to himself while ran his long nailed fingers continuously through his white hair."Do the villagers ever attack for no reason?!" Ororos asked Moonscar urgently as images of a Frankensteinesque scene of villagers with pitchforks and fire chasing them through the jungles flashed through his mind. "Or shall we be pretty well off?".

{Moonscar} I smiled at Jubilee. It was obviously my favorite gesture. "Don't know." I grinned wider. "Never tried. The guards comphenscate them as soon as we reach the place. So you guys had better text quick." I looked again at the sky. Smoke and rain. 'What a day,' I thought. "You know.. The guards are probably pretty rapped up right now anyway. Go ahead and try to use your phones." Then I added sadly. "I wish I had a phone to call my grandfather a few years back. He's probably dead by now, though." I sighed sadly. "Back then, my name was Soledad." I continued to walk. "It's sad. We normally just disappear off of Earth, leave behind everything, make our parents worry sick about us, then just.." I smiled sadly. "Nothing. Everyone forgets us, forgets who we were. And nobody cares after a year." For a moment I stopped grinning. "And please, prove me wrong if you can. I really wouldn't mind being wrong for once."I turned to Ororos. "Yeah, they always attack for no reason. They're nothing like your friends or your family."

{Amaterasu}"Grudges... why would the villagers have grudges against people like us?" Amaterasu thought. then suddenly Amaterasu had thoughts of her home and family. she started thinking of her brother they here as close as brother and sister could get, then she started thinking about her mother she as the most comferting person she had ever seen. she wonderd if there was even a slim chance that she would ever come home, but Moonscar had beed stuck here for years Amaterasu's heart sank. She wanted a big comferting hug from her mother but she couldn't get one.""The only thing that lifted her spirits was finding a way back. but how? As far as she knew this forest could streach hundreds of miles... She finally thought she would have to think about it later after they where safe from these villagers."

Jubilee smiled so you could see all of her teeth. This is what she did when she was super happy. "I'll try." She listened to Moonscar's story about his grandfather. "You can use my phone after I text Gage if you want." She said. "The reason I'm not texting my parents… they never really liked me. My brother was always their favourite. It sucked." She pulled out her phone. She quickly typed a text to Gage: Hey! How r u? Soo… let me try to explain all of this. I'm in someplace in the middle of nowhere, with people called mistwalkers. We are part animal. Yeah I just said that. So anyways, if you get this, text back quick, cus' my phone will be confiscated at the gate, unless I can find some way to sneak it in, and I promise I will try. Luv u. Miss u.She hoped that it would send… and it did! She smiled sadly. "Would there we any way for us to sneak it in?" She said as she offered the phone to Moonscar. "Try calling your grandfather. You never know. He might still remember you, might still be hoping. Hope keeps us going sometimes you know." I said. It was true. "The only thing that kept me from running off, was hope that my parents would like me one day. I have an idea for sneaking people's phones in. It would only work if you have an otterbox life proof case on it though. Since my arms are really strong, I could probably throw them over the gates and into a bush." She said. "Do you think I should try?" She asked Moonscar.

~Ororos~Ororos was utterly terrified of the attacks that would surely ensue, he could handle pestering but all out attacks were a whole other story. Ororos shook his head to get rid of the thought, maybe he had a phone with him. Upon checking and coming up with nothing he remembered he never did have a phone in the first place which he audibly announced "I dont have a phone, never really needed one." he wasnt in any hurry to contact his family anyway all he would receive is criticism.

(Going to Lake for weekend, be back in two days 😊){Moonscar} I smiled at Jubilee. Nobody else had ever tried to let me call my grandfather. Nobody had ever cared. "Yes. We could maybe get the phones in." Then I added another 'Maybe.' I tapped the call button after dialing in the number. A woman's voice filled the phone in my ear. "Hello?" Her call was shrill. "Who is this?" I stammered for a second, hoping my grandpa hadn't changed numbers. "Is anyone from the Swalis family available?" She tutted for a second, then went back. "Sorry lady, the old man died a year ago." She laughed. "After his granddaughter died, he had no reason to keep living." I disconnected the call in a flash. "Oh well.." I murmured. "At least I tried." I handed the phone back to Jubilee with shaky hands. "Thanks for letting me try, though." I whispered to her.I turned to Elendei, who I had almost forgot was there. "Not too far. We'll see the guards soon, so you guys had better hide your phones." I looked at the ground, hoping to see something to take my mind off of everything. Nothing was interesting except the smell of smoke getting stronger. I looked through the trees, and hissed to my new friends, "Get down!" I ducked under an arrow flying across the jungle. "Proceed cautiously.." I warned them. "The villagers would love to get their filthy hands on new Mistwalker recruits."

Jubilee smiled, taking her phone back. "No problem." She said. She heard the whistling coming. She cupped her hands over her head and crouched down on the ground as the arrow went by. As she stood up her phone vibrated. Her breath caught. "One second." She said to Moonscar. She pulled out her phone. '1 new text from: Gage.' Said the notification. She nearly screamed with happiness. She went into her texts to read the text. It said: Hey Julie. I'm good thanks. How r u? I'm trying to take in everything you said, and I think I believe it. God knows you would never make up something like that. I sure hope you can get the phones in. Best of luck. Luv u and miss u 2.She smiled, keeping her phone in her hand. "So I'll try throwing it. The case literally is lifeproof. One time I dropped it in the pool, and it was perfectly fine." She followed after the others.

@kreptacat @dramatic{Elendei}I nodded and started to follow Moonscar when I heard something. With my cat hearing, I could hear about a mile away. I frowned listening. It seemed like...howling? "Moonscar..." I begand but she ignored me. "Moonscar! Moonscar#! Moonscar!" I tried louder. But the snake-girl just kept moving."Oh well." I thought. "I'll have to go see for myself." I quietly slipped away from the others and followed the sound towards a bush...*********************************************************Guys don't notice she's gone for now, only when you reach the burrow*********************************************************

Jubilee was happily texting Gage as she walked. She texted him back: I'm great. The awesome thing about my animal being part of the cat family, I can hear everything. Are mom and dad worried about me?

~Ororos~Ororos ducked down on the ground as Moonscar had instructed while his head swam with thoughts of how Moonscar's visage seemed to fade for a hint of a second before she had hung up the phone. Maybe there was no answer or it was bad news, who knows, he thought to himself as his muscles seemed to carry him without any effort. "Can we possibly avoid them!?" Ororos asked frantic to avoid any form of confrontation with actual danger.

{Amaterasu}Amaterasu ducked down as an arrow zipped by, "ah! where are those arrows even coming from!?" She looked at her phone her brother had texted her, "Lol sure when are you getting home?" Amaterasu took a picture of where she was and sent it to her brother and texted, " Now you beleive me!?"

{Moonscar} I entered our clearing, and didn't like what I saw. The guards were down, trying to fight the villagers while saving themselves. I turned to my group. I smiled shakily. "Anyone know how to fight?" I whispered loudly. "No problem with phones right now," I added. "First we need to save our skins." Then, I laughed at Ororos. "AVOID them? We're surrounded. Now use your teeth and claws, and Ororos, learn how to shapeshift real quick, or go pick up a sword from a dead Mistwalker." I pointed across the field. "I'll be over there. Even if no one else makes it out alive, him, our Shaman, needs to." I slithered away. "Best of luck to you all." I called.

Alyss smiled, at Moonscar before launching herself at the nearest villager, who was attacking a Mistwalker who appeared to be part machine.Alyss, took her claws out as she attacked the person feeling only a slight pang, as she rolled away.

Jubilee's jaw dropped as she watchd Moonscar hurry away. she accidently double tapped the volume button on her phone, and a dagger popped out! "I have a concealed weapon!" She exclaimed. She quickly launched at the nearest villager with her dagger phone.

{Moonscar} I hid in the bushes near the Shaman, waiting to launch a surprise attack. I quickly noted how it seemed that Alyss would fight with teeth and claws, and how Jubilee had found.. A knife in her phone? I smiled. Her phone had had a transformation too, it seemed. I transfixed my gaze onto the villager attacking the Shaman, and realized it must be the leader. Then, with a start, I wondered where Elendei was. 'Too much to worry about now.' I thought severely. 'Find her after.'I attacked. And jumped. And missed. And fell. And the villager got to work on me. 'Backup?' I thought. 'Any backup?' Then I realized something. I'd just left four animal trainee Mistwalkers and one human Mistwalker alone, telling them to fend for themselves, then here I was dying. 'Tragic death,' I thought. 'Good memories, though.' Then I laughed bitterly inside my head. 'What a great mentor I turned out to be.' ((@Appleblizzard Dunno if we're gonna make it to the burrow, but this'll take a while to get out of, so yea. ::I))

Alyss rolled away as Jubilee attacked the villager who was set to fight the lynx.Alyss saw Moonscar as a villager began to attack, and with swift agility, darted past the human and slashed out at his ankles her claw-nails digging deep.
