I flexed from Ororos and glanced at Alyss. "Well, just think about it. We get attacks like that once every moon (month) and get cut up quite a few times in each attack, so how would we be alive if we wait for each attack to mend?" I settled my gaze on the ground. "We have strange herbs found only here that regenerate our health." I thought about it and added, "Some Mistwalkers don't use them though. It can hurt your health." Then I smiled at Jubilee. "Yeah. We go....." I hesitated, then struck a snakey pose. "SSSOMEWHERE!"

Alyss sighed at Moonscar's words. "That sounds truly fun." She muttered sarcastically. "So are we still heading to your burrow?" She asked glancing around.

I rolled my eyes and took out my phone. I texted Gage.

Just got my leg and arm hurt bad in a battle. Did you explain to mom and dad what happened to me?

I put my phone away and followed Moonscar. I walked by putting the stick forward, then hopping forward on my good leg. I looked like a klutzy kangaroo with one leg.

I grinned at the girls. "Of course," I started to respond to Alyss's words. "And then you guys are gonna go hunting for your own houses/dens/burrows/trees/nests and territories."

I smiled and rolled my eyes in an odd fashion at Jubilee. "Hide your phones," I warned quietly. "Who knows when we'll see a Mistwalker."

I walked over to Moonscar being careful with my leg all the way, "So when we get to you burrow I'm assuming afterwards we'll have to look for our own homes that match our own animal. Am I correct?"

"Yeah, unless you want something different." I replied. "Once, a Bear Mistwalker wanted to live in a tree, but he fell down, and he died. So yeah, try to stick to that rule there."

"I'm going to live in a tree." I said. I loved being in trees, and I wasn't stupid enough to fall out and die. "How much longer?" I panted. Using only one leg to walk was really hard work.

"Never really that good at climbing trees anyway." Having once done a school report on Ocelots, she new that Ocelots were great at climbing trees and usually preferred to live under or close by leafy canopy, "Good thing they're all around me." she muttered to her self.

Walking slowly behind Moonscar and Jubilee, I held my head and thought for a while. //An arctic fox/cat can live in the arctic...but it's not snowing here!\\

"Moonscar...Um what if some of us are adapted for the...WINTER region?" I question as my head throbbs. //OMG what if I can't live here? What if I have to go back?!\\

I kept walking, but slowed my pace. "You'll shift soon, Ororos. You'll have training." I promised. I slithered up the side of a tree. "Look, Amaterizu." I hissed.
"Trees will like you if you give them a chance. And, Elendei, there are different regions, but the Arctic is rather.. Cold. Um, look, I know you would like it in the Arctic, but you'd be better just.." I blinked and descended down the tree. "Here." I liked Jubilee's opinion a lot. Tree's were great, but I couldn't manage to live in one. It would be easy for her to, though. All of them, besides Ororos, in fact. They all had claws and teeth.

Amaterasu looked up the tree that Moonscar had slithered up the tree,"Hmm..." Amaterasu unsheathed her claws and stared up at a tree near by. She jumped up and climbed it very quickly, at one of the top branches she leaped into another tree near by.
Just then she got a text back from her brother "...So what are you doing now?" her brother texted, she texted to him about all the stuff that happened within the last hour. Than she went back to jumping across the trees to catch up with everyone, "This is actually kinda fun!"

I sighed and turned to Eleindei again. "Look, in the Arctic of this place, the Villagers rule and try, VERY SUCCESSFULLY, to hunt and kill the Mistwalkers." I shook my head in disgust. "We never did anything to them, but all they want to do is hurt us." Then, much to my surprise, I noted that Amuterizu was a natural born climber. "Well yeah, it's fun." I called up to her. "But it's kinda hard if you don't have legs."

I looked up at Amaterasu sadly. God did I ever wish I could be up there, leaping from tree to tree. I then remembered that's now leopards weren't supposed to be able to climb trees, but who cares? "Ok seriously, I'm ally hot and dehydrated, and I feel like I'm on a pass out. When the heck aerie we going to get there?" I asked Moonscar irritatedly.

I considered this new information. "What if I find a place where there are no villiagers?" I ask. Suddenly I realise that we are getting no further to the burrow as I am to the sun. My leg was killiang me and my head was splitting up. I moaned and sat against the tree. All I knew was that there was a tree, there was me and there was a King: Pain.

Alyss sighed and turned to Moonscar. "I'm not sure lynx live in trees, I think I'll make something though. I might just claim my fruit hocking tree." She said thoughtfully.
"Yeah I'll make something under that tree. In the roots with rocks."

"Thank God." I whispered, collapsing painfully onto a tree stump. I put my head in my hands and tried to catch my breath. The pain was excruciating, but I told myself that if I could just make it to Moonscar's burrow, I would be ok. I could rest then. I pulled out my phone and realized that Gage had texted me.

Ya I did. They believed me, said it was the kind of crazy thing you would get yourself into. How's ur leg?

I texted back.

I agree with that actually. I get into a lot of crazy stuff. My leg? Hurts like crap.

I put my phone in my pocket and tried to focus on things other than my leg.

Alyss nodded glumly, looking around her. Her leg burned, but more of a dull burn you get after you stub your toe.
Still she took the time to pull herself into a low hanging tree branch. Perching on it she drew her tail over her legs and twitched her ears around.
She took this free time to observe the other Mistwalkers, very few had as much fur as she did, in fact she seemed to be the only one here who was more of an animal aside from Ororos but he'd become a full animal, and stay fully human at the same time.

A breath of relaxation escaped me as I lay against the tree stump. I pulled out my phone to check whether Amelia had texted. My best friend had.

//Where are you? Are you okay? What happened?//

I hesitated but then knew that sooner or later she would find out.

//I'm fine Meli, I'm in another world. See I have white cat ears, whiskers and a very bushy tail. I'm an arctic fox-girl and there are others here to. A snake-girl some wolf-boy and others. We just had a fight with some viligers and wolf-boy thought I was one so he shot me in the leg and now it is burning up. I fell out of a tree and my head can't thing straight and now we are walking to Moonscar (snake-girl) 's burrow to rest.//

No sooner had I clicked send and put my phone away had a text issued out with the usual *beep*. I read what she had replied and laughed.

//You nutter. So are you asleep or what? Ur gonna be late for school.//

I looked inquiringly at Elendei and Jubilee. "So? What do they say?"I prompted. "Great God, Elendei, do your parents not believe you're an animal?" I chuckled as I read the letters.

"Well...I haven't got parents." I said quietly. I barely said anything. I looked at my phone and tears swelled up in my eyes. I closed them and lay against the tree. "I never really saw them...but I know that they would never have doubted me..."

I looked at Moonscar as she asked what our parents said about all of this. "My brother believes me and is worried about my leg. My parents believe, say it's the kind of crazy thing I would get into, and go on living their lives, not giving a crap about me." I said angrily. Suddenly I was filled up with rage. My parents did not car at all, that I was in a different world with an injured leg and part animal. I angrily drove the heel of my good leg into a knothole in the tree stump.

Amaterasu carefully climbed down she had so much fun jumping from tree to tree she forgot just how much her leg hurt that was the kind of thing she would always do, if she forgot about something she would forget it was affecting her at all.

"Careful, Jubilee, sometimes Mistwalkers hide poisons in trees." I told her, then turned to the crying Elendei. "Who do you live with then? This Meli?" I asked curiously, watching Ameterisu leap down from the trees.

"Right now, if I get poisoned, I wouldn't care. At least I would be freed from this-" I thought about a phrase that my father would have used, but that made me angrier. "This bad hand that I've been dealt." I said angrily.

If I had to create a list of my most common emotions, anger is at the very top. I hate getting emotional, but with my life, it's kind of how I live. I live on this infinite emotional rollercoaster.

I turned away from Moonscar, tears of anger welling up in my eyes. I angrily blinked them away. "Can we go?" I asked with an irritated, broken voice.

"No. I live alone. She just comes round most of the time." I replied. I noticed that Jubilee seemed angered by something. I wondered if she had lost her parents too but then thought about this. As I looked around me many of the mistwalkers were happily talking about their homes. //If I ever get away, I need to think about hiding from everyone else\\ I thought painfully.

Amaterasu looked around when we were not being attacked the forest was very peaceful... She could hear the birds chirping and the leaves rustle in the wind... Beautiful.
