Alyss glanced over at Amaterasu and saw the girl's contemplative face. Walking over the lynx-girl smiled and stood next to her. "What do you think if what's happened so far?" Allison asked twitching her ears.

Despite the pain shooting my leg, I managed to limp over to a tree. I climbed up using mainly my arms and settled myself on a branch, still furious at my parents. I angrily texted Gage.

Tell them that I wish they cared for once what happened to me. I'm their daughter, so I want them to act like it. Even being mad at me would be better than not caring.

I shoved my phone in my pocket and leaned my head against the tree. I watched the trees in front of me as angry tears rolled down my cheeks.

I 'kneeled' down by Jubilee. "Your parents *WILL* care, and soon, when they find out they may never sssee you again. "I wish, oh, I wish everyone cared about everyone else, but they don't." I grinned again. "Ha. Haha." It was funny, talking about parents when I knew we had none now. "You're lucky you got to ssay goodbye." I had the strangest idea, suddenly.

I glanced around, watching for onlooker, then whispered into Jubilee's ear. "What if your brother wasss recruited next?" I hoped the idea would please her.

Far off, I heard a loud thump. I slithered up a tree to get a better view. "A.. JAGUAR?" I called loudly down to the others. "Well, that's another recruit." I hissed softly. "New recruit, again!" I grinned.

I frowned. "Nothing you say can make me feel better about them." Although, the thought of Gage being recruited cheered me up. Let's see how much my parents cared when he was taken from them. I smiled and lowered myself out of the tree. "Should we get going?" I asked.

I fell right through a... what do you call it? A hole? A portal? Anyways, I was really confused why I was in a forest. The last place I remember being is in my bed, sleeping. So how did I turn up on the dirt ground of a forest?

I looked around, then, I realized something weird: my scents were much better, and everything I looked at, it was a little different. I looked down at myself. Surprise flooded through me. I was sort of a jaguar or a cheetah, but whatever I was, I had spots, ears, and a tail like a cat. What was even stranger was that I was also human at the same time.

Then, I heard a slight hissing noise. I tensed, wondering what other things could be in this forest other than myself.

I Climbed up a tree to get a better look at the new mists walker I spotted A jaguar she was looking around confused I hopped from tree to tree then I ploped down I front of her from a low branch. "Hi! I'm Amaterasu, look I know this is confusing to suddenly appear in a random forest with a girl that's half ocelot talking to you but if you fallow me my friend can explain you pretty much everything you want and need to know". I pulled back my brown hair as my ocelot tail flicked, "if you want you can have second to take this all in."

A half ocelot half human girl named Amaterasu welcomed me, and invited me to follow her. I hesitated for a moment, still very confused. "All rright then, I guess. I'll follow you!" I say to her, while my muscles relaxed a bit.

My long black hair blew in the slight breeze, and I looked down at my hand. It still held the hairband I put on the night before. That meant this wasn't a dream, or if this was, it wasn't any ordinary dream. I put my hair in a ponytail, but I still left a few strands at the sides.

"Hello!" I yelled at the new Mistwalker, slithering towards her quickly. "What'ss your name?" I wasn't sure what happened when a Mistwalker was late coming through the portal. Was it a bad sign? Or did it even matter? "I'm Moonscar. And you've been recruited by us, the Mistwalkers.." I looked at Amateresu. "Or do you want to explain it while we walk?"

I was not in the mood for talking to new people. I sighed and sat against the base of the tree. I could hear the conversation carried on the wind. I thought it was good that they were go ing to explain on the way over here, because then she wouldn't be clueless when she got over here. I sighed and closed my eyes, listening to the wind in the trees.

I wonder how the new mistwalker will react when she finds out that as far as we know there is no way out... Just then my brother texted me I happily pulled out my phone and started texting.

"Oh! My name is Ember! And mistwalkers...?" I introduced myself, but what, or who, were the mistwalkers? I thought for a moment, then Amateresu checked her phone.

Wait... phones? They were allowed in the forest? Where.. what about internet? I thought. I remember shoving my phone in my pocket the other night... There! I touched my phone, relieved it was there.

I grinned at Ember. "You were late by about a whole day." I started to explain. "We, the Mistwalkers, are in an eternal fight with regular people who we nicknamed Villagers, and somehow you're going to have to try to hide your phone or the others will throw them in the lake." I thought about the internet question. "Beats me on how there's internet though." I muttered, looking at the tallest tree in sight.
