A Lil Introduction

My original one got messed up because I forgot to activate my account first (oops! 😋), so lets try this again!

Hi there, my name is Bess (short for Elizabeth). 😊
I joined EggCave so I could have something to do in my spare time (which I have way too much of .-.). I just would love to meet new friends, and this site in general seems like a cute, fun way to pass the time! As if Tumblr didn't waste enough of it already xD

Anyway, my username is just a reference to a great book series (The Monstrumologist), and has nothing to do with my actual name or anything. I love those books because they're gory, creepy, and oh so perfect! I also have a huge crush on one of the main characters, so that helps too! xD

-The orginial Teen Titans animated series (though Teen Titans Go! is okay too, I guess. It's obviously pandering to a younger audience, at least)
-Telling stories
-Halloween

I've only seen Teen Titans Go! and I think it's a very strange show.

2D animated Disney films! YESSSSSS
I don't like CGI when it isn't used very well and when movies are painted it just looks so much better ❤️ Especially Studio Ghibli things ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

If you need help feel free to ask because nearly everyone here will he happy to help! You can ping people by writing @ in front of their username and that person will receive a notification saying that you have pinged them on a topic. Why don't you try pinging me?

Other ways of communicating is on a person's wall, you cannot ping on a wall. The Wall is located on the person's profile and if someone writes on your wall you reply to them on THEIR wall, not yours. This is a common mistake seen XD

Another common mistake is seeing players not feeding their own creatures, you CAN feed your own creatures!

Creatures gain levels by gaining feeds, clicks and views. You will notice that even if you have clicked and fed a creature, the level won't increase straight away. This is because levels and views only update once a day, around 3am ECT

Hide your EC (EggCoins) that you get from feeding your pets and other's everyday in your Strongroom and gather the interest every day.
When unable to go on EggCave for a while leave your pets at Tim's Food Shoppe and keep an eye on the Laws of Ark (site guidelines).

To gain some friends take a look at the forum. But make sure you do not revive a 'dead' topic. A topic that has not been active for quite a number of months! There are many threads that are active and many are always happy to chat to new players!

Cave Monthlies are creatures that are only going to be obtainable for this current month, take a look at recent blog posts to see which critters are the current monthlies.

A note, please be careful with trading, many will try to get a better deal out of a newer player just because you are new. Before trading for creatures, please do a little research first!

With the list of creatures, #1 on Eggcave IS NOT the rarest, it is the most common (there have been instances when players have tried selling the #1 creature because they thought it was the rarest)

Messages that only have a smiley/emote (whatever you call them where you live) are considered spam and are not allowed

Also, join the Click Exchange to help get your creatures more clicks and feeds!

Teen Titans Go! is really strange, yeah xD The original series was strange sometimes too, but it also had much more serious plotlines than the new cartoon. Honestly, the new series is kind of like a fancomic/animation that is supposed to be goofy and over the top; and takes one element of a character's personality and just completely blows it out of proportion. I don't know, I'd recommend watching the original if you're interested, it's much better.

And 2D Disney is the best! It just feels like it has a lot more heart... I guess? xD
Also, it has that nostalgic feel, since it's how a majority of the films were animated. But I do also appreciate the CGI, since it takes a lot of hard work and dedication on their part.

I love writing 😊 And I love all the lacy-ness of the Victorian era as well as some of the modernized styles.

Anything that's interesting is wonderful. I mostly wander the big great world of interwebs, and that's how I learned most of what I know.

I've got 2 dogs, a rabbit, and a turtle, so it's safe to say that I love animals 😊 I'm majoring in vet tech right now.

Disney movies! Dear Jeebus *flails* I've seen all the Disney fairies movies *foams at the mouth*

My tastes in music are more . . . picky? Rap, R&B and Soul, pop, and other genres that I can't name =3= or that I generalize.

Teen Titans was my chiz!!! The new animated series is funny, but the original one was just . . . just . . . *foams at the mouth* I'm also really into Steven Universe. Such funny. Much unique. Very laugh XD

I love 2-D movies, Studio Ghibli creates the best 2D ones! All frames are hand drawn and coloured and omg the backgrounds T.T such beauty

I don't like how people are comparing the Lion King to Frozen. 1. Made with different technology (and shared by different technology)
2. Stories are too different to compare
3. Different generations

...Mulan was made in 1998 oh my


I need to get my hands on the original teen titans, i really want to watch it! I was watching an ep at my friend's house but everyone kept talking so you only saw pretty pictures T.T

Oh yes, same here! The Victorian era was just such an interesting time for fashion... though a few of the styles could kind of get you killed xD
I don't know, I just love the elegant dresses and the dandies.
But fashion history in general is a big thing for me. I really like 20s-40s women's fashion, and 50s fashion was great too, with all the mainstream and counterculture styles coming together (even though the 50s was... terrifying when it comes to the culture of America)

Oh, that's great for you! I've always wanted to work with animals. Be in some kind of research field, traveling around and studying all these amazing species...
Anyway, I myself have two cats and a dog. We used to have chickens and a rabbit too, but we had to give them to one of my dad's friends when we moved ☹️

Disney fairy movies! 😃 Oh god, they're my guilty pleasure. I really want to see the Pirate Fairy one, mostly because it seems like it'd be pretty cool, at least by Disney-fairy-movie standards.

Oh, music varies a lot for me. One moment I'll be listening to an underground band like Johnny Hollow, and the next OH here's Mary Lambert in all her fresh-into-the-pop-scene cuteness. Huge contrast between her genre and the band's xD

The original Teen Titans was the best, hands down. But yeah, Teen Titans Go! is pretty funny. I just like how it basically threw away the timeline, it's not supposed to be a continuation. And there have been plenty of villains on there already (including Brother Blood, my favorite), but I'm interested in seeing if they're gonna use Slade. Probably not, since he has to be one of the most serious villains they've ever faced. But they did manage to make even Trigon of all people (or should I say demons...?) kind of silly, so I don't know. ¯\_(?)_/¯
I like Steven Universe too! I also like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball. They're basically the only cartoons I watch these days, besides Gravity Falls.

It's impossible to compare the 2D to the 3D, but yeah, you can certainly pick and choose which style you like best.
And I don't know why Frozen is getting such credit. Though I'm sure it was a good film (I haven't even seen it yet .-.), people keep trying to make it a first for the Disney world. For example: the first Disney movie to focus on sisters? Nah man, don't forget Lilo and Stitch! Lilo and Nani are probably one of the best portrayals of a sibling relationship I've ever seen in a movie.

And oh man, you should definitely find Teen Titans and watch it when you get the chance. It was an awesome show, especially by its standards as a "kid's show", since it was so entertaining and had SUCH good morals. Like, some of the lessons a few episodes taught were just so perfect. I actually used the one from Troq in a paper I did for my writing class xD

Horror movies or in general? Well, for horror my favorite is definitely Cabin in the Woods. Mainly because it was a million times better than I thought it would be 😊
But in general my favorites would be Guardians of the Galaxy, Good Will Hunting, Mystic River, The Pianist, Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, Repo! the Genetic Opera, ParaNorman, the Nightmare Before Christmas, and I'm sure there are others that I just can't remember at the moment. xD

The first movie to display a strong, independent woman? I'm sorry, there isn't one in this movie - you must be talking about the Princess and the Frog or about Mulan.

To be frank, Frozen isn't anything special. I prefer the story that it is based on and with Frozen, you can't see it at all.


If I use Teen Titans in an essay I'll get an earful from my teacher saying that we can't reference movies or tv shows XD

Exactly! Tiana managed to to fulfill her dream in a time where black women had basically no rights, and Mulan SAVED AND ENTIRE COUNTRY. Anna... burped without excusing herself, I guess? She's physically strong, I'll give her that. I mean, she knocked a grown man off a ship with one punch.

I know, which was exactly what I worried about when I first heard about it 😋 I also hated Olaf in anticipation, but he doesn't seem too bad.

I didn't even reference the episode, I just used the moral to make a point xD
It's a creative writing course anyway, so I doubt she would have cared if I referenced a TV show.

Yeah, I have! It's such a good movie. The ending always makes me cry.

@willhenreeeeee Fashion's not really my scene, but I do have a mild interest in it 😊 I like wearing all the newest fashion, so I guess it is my scene in a way, but I don't surround myself with it, if that makes sense.

I have 2 dogs, a rabbit, and a turtle XD They're all so spoiled. The dogs are goofballs, the rabbit is a grumpy old man, and the turtle acts like a grumpy old man XD x3

The Pirate Fairy was pretty good, as far as Disney movies go~ I loved it. You should've seen my friend's face when I brought it up. She absolutely despises Disney now XD XD

I don't listen to many underground bands, but usually, if I hear something, it goes on The Playlist, which is what I call my iPod u3u I only have about 300-something songs, though. Not that impressive. I don't listen to the radio much. Usually, I get new music because I hear it by chance a few times, decide I like it, then decide to download it. It's about a 3 month process, really o3o

I'm behind on Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball! I have to look up the episodes. And I'm pretty sure Gravity Falls is the one of the only things Disney is doing right :/ Although I do like the newest Girl Meets World, it's not very . . . exciting. I guess because it takes an in depth look at everything I've already experienced. I'm 19 x3 Everything they're dealing with, I've already sorted my way through. This is craziness. Why am I watching this??? XD

I don't really have a finger on the pulse of modern fashion. I only really like the alternative ones. That's the way I mostly dress 😊 If I had more money, I'd totally dress like a rich woman from the 1920s though xD

Pff, spoiled and grumpy pets are not hard to come by xD
My two cats are definitely pretty spoiled, especially Patches. And my dog is so dumb my dad once said "I swear to god Schatzi has no brain; I think it's just a knot at the end of her spinal cord to keep it from falling apart like a cheap pearl necklace."
He's... he's kinda mean xD

Oh, good! I'll have to see it then.

The only time I really hunt for new music is if I want to make a playlist. I've been having some issues with getting the songs onto my iPod, though ☹️ It's because of 1) the way I download it and 2) the fact I keep changing computers. But I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually!

Oh yeah, Gravity Falls is excellent! The writing and animation are just stellar. The only other Disney show I watch is Dog With a Blog... I kind of see it as a guilty pleasure/brain candy... I also like the talking dog xD
