Ok so, I thought I might just make you all more aware about all those every day product that at least we have used one of during our life time said to be tested on animals! These product brands that I'm about to list have all used and could or are still are using animal testing!Cosmetics & personal care:Andrew CollingeAnna SuiAramisAveenoAvon*Band-AidBiothermBobbi BrownBonjelaBraunCacharelCashmere BouquetChapstickClairolClean & ClearClearasilClinicareCliniqueColgateCovergirl*CrestDecoreDisprinDolce & GabbanaDonna KaranDoveDufourDurexElizabeth ArdenEstee Lauder*EulactolFruitrienceGarnierGilletteGiorgio ArmaniGucci FragrancesHead & ShouldersHerbal EssencesHugo BossImpulseJohnson & JohnsonJurlique*KerastaseKiehl'sLacosteLancomeLemsipListerineL'Occitane*L'Oreal*LuxLynxMACMary Kay*Max FactorMaybellineMichael KorsMissoniMumNairNeutrogenaNice 'n EasyNurofenOlayOld SpiceOptrexOral BPalmolivePantenePearl DropsPearsPertPlaxPondsPPSRadoxRalph Lauren FragrancesReachRedkenRevlonRexonaRogaineSanexSaturnSavlonSchollSensodyneShiseidoShu UemuraSimpleSK-IISpeed StickSt IvesStayfreeSteradentStrepsilsTampaxTom FordTommy HilfigerTony & GuyTREsemmeVaselineVeetVenusVicksVidal SassonViktor & Rolf V05WaxeezeWellaWella BalsamZest

@werewolf It's a very good thing that you pointed this out!
werewolf • 17 December 2014 at 8:08 AM
@ida92~Thanks~ It actually quite amazed me when i saw this list! Who would of though all those big brands would use testing?
dafni • 17 December 2014 at 8:42 AM
@werewolf The only way to not hurt animals, environment and people is to become vegan, only eat vegetable garden foods cultivated by you, buy nothing from stores and dress only in wool/cotton that you've sewn... And maybe it will be not enough as well.Mostly of things you buy are animal tested, made by underpayed people or created with dirty money. That's because little industries are part of bigger ones that heads to multinationals that will reinvest money in many of different projects fields and other companies in the entire world. If they want to gain money and keep working, they have to do this. Did you know that Nestlé is one of the biggest arms supplier in the world? Or that Starbucks all over the world wasted up to 6 million gallons of water every day, enough to quell the thirst of a small African nation? So you could try to not buy stuff from these ones and use another brands, but no one can guarantee where your money will end. That's all. And you should basically stop doing/buying all your everyday things to really not hurt animals and people. In the end, "yes and I plan to continue use"... Beacuse I don't think you can make the difference and change things in this way, it should be on governments to deal it with specific laws. I think it is a political issue, and so should be treated.

@dafniYeah I know and it's hard to find products now that don't actually use animal testing or waste valuable materials like water not to mention the unfair trade that is always happening. These people who create those expensive brands of clothes sometime only get paid a measly few cents.I get how some people would still decide to continue use, I myself still am but I'm trying to stop via making my own produce or buying from people I have meet and trust that they don't test.THE Body Shop http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/ don't test and are a growing business currently so i you ever see them i would definitely recommend! Also Moon Haven https://moonhaven.com.au/ is a family business run in Australia they ship world wide and handmake all their products.

@werewolf I actually use parfumes which neither contain nor tested on animals BUT some products in list just have no alternative in my country. Well actually have but I'm allergic to this alternatives :'(
werewolf • 18 December 2014 at 3:08 AM
@kirykoHave you ever tried making your own? It can be really simple sometimes to make your own cosmetics especially if you have allergies or sensitive skin.
mastergemma • 18 December 2014 at 3:33 AM
@werewolfWhat's with the asterisks beside some names? Hmm... I had a book that stated brands and celebrities that don't test on animals/ use products tested on animals. I'll try to find it one day but I do remember that the duo band Sister2Sister and Hugh Jackman were on the list!
kiryko • 18 December 2014 at 3:42 AM
@werewolf to make it I'll have to kill 5 cows or sheep I don't think it's better alternative XDSimple example.I've bought a dental gel for my baby when he was under 1 year old.It was recomended by dentist. In side effects I've found "possible death". So at least 1 animal died during the test. Is it better it was a human or someones baby?Sometimes this tests are NEEDED.
dafni • 18 December 2014 at 4:39 AM
@werewolf I'm too lazy and not so rich to always pass my time checking all the things I buy or make stuff my own.... Even for food, if you would buy biologic stuff you have to pay it double, and in the end no one truly guarantees that they are 100% genuines.I'm against vivisection and unjustified cruelty, but it doesn't bother me too much if a couple of animals died for science and progress. And I still don't think that avoid some products makes really the difference, it's something related to laws and permits so for truly changing society's attitude, there's the need of policy actions, which is why there are Peta and similar groups. That's my thought and I do not think I'll change lifestyle for this...

@werewolf Animal testing isn't the only concern I have for most of these products. The chemicals they use after long term exposure can cause health risks in humans too. Cancer being the most prevalent.
werewolf • 19 December 2014 at 4:30 AM
@mastergemmaThe list is copied from http://www.animalsaustralia.org/features/animal-testing-list.php@kiryko True, true but why should scientist make something that supposedly helps us yet can cause death or sickness and there's always the plant alternative which sometimes is cheaper. If you mix baking soda with a natural flavoring it makes a sort of toothpaste power which is cheaper and works just as good it's also safe if you accidentally swallow it (I've tried this one myself it even whitened my teeth!) @dafni You shouldn't have to change your life style for anything these big companies should find a nicer alternative. Even if only a couple of animals die from it it's also how there treated before being tested on! They placed these cameras secretly in this i think it was a factory warehouse where they tested on animals, and in there were these beagles and i think rabbits that were being kept in metal cages without any flooring (so only metal bars to stand on) and there captors were literally punching these animals in the face and making it even more painful for them.@hybridrainbowBeing someone with sensitive skin I actually have to watch out for some of those chemicals especially the ones with those really long names that you can't pronounce. A lot of them tend to burn or make my face red and dry which can be really annoying when most of the products in the big markets contain them.
kiryko • 19 December 2014 at 4:49 AM
@werewolf I haven't talked about the toothpaste and we have cheap herbal onnly toothpastes here ❤️My examle had been took from real life. And that was dental gel that relief pain when first teeth are coming. I'm not pharmacist but as far as I know medicines and vaccines could be only tested on animals as we built similiar way. My opinion. Killing animals to save lifes is good, killing animals to make things you an deal without is bad. There's actually another problem people not pay attention at.Cancer provoking chemicals.Try find cosmetics WITHOUT Alluminium contain solts.Try find food without list of forbidden ingridients. We have being killed slowly and don't think about it.Sorry for offtop.
dafni • 19 December 2014 at 5:00 AM
@werewolf Haven't I explained already this point? xDI'm against vivisection and animal unjustified cruelty. But I'm ok in animal testing. There should be more controls and laws that determine how animal testing have to take place? Sure! But I don't believe that boicotting some products would make the difference and create a changing. I believe that an effective method is through associations working concretely with political campaigns and legal initiatives. So I'm not changing what I buy or what I eat. That answers to the why in your poll, and that's all I have to say.
werewolf • 19 December 2014 at 5:07 AM
@kiryko Hey don't be sorry its true somethings do require testing it's how we do it that is irritating. Especially the fact that most animals tested on don't get the freedom or comfort they deserve. The chemicals used are also a big problem mainly the ones they put in the food we eat. Did you know that just because it may say free range on meat doesn't actually mean its also hormone free?
kiryko • 19 December 2014 at 5:11 AM
@werewolf that's why my baby don't eat bird meat
ahgirltc • 19 December 2014 at 5:16 AM
Thanks so much for this information! Hoping to go vegan when I'm adult. *-*@werewolf
