There aren't too many things lie this around here. Of course, there was a few small tornadoes here aa wqhile ago, but enough to do some damage in other towns. And, I didn't feel an aftershock or anythign from the earthquake. I'd be quite surprised if I did.

To be honest, I've never been in an earthquake either. But, considering I was in NY yesterday, that would've been horrifying. I would say 'Fun' because of the adrenalin rush, and the fact that I find scary things quite thrilling, but I was awfully sick yesterday so that wouldn't have been a fun ride at all...But other then that, I hope everyone is okay, or...had fun...Cx

I was in VA for my vacation, and that's the center point where the 5.9 earthquake hit. A mirror fell and broke, the lamp fell over. The floor was rumbling ficiously. UGH. Also, it hit 5.7 in CA and 5.3 in Utah.
omeletteater5 • 23 August 2011 at 5:13 PM
It hit me too. This was the first earthquake I've been awake for! I gotta say, I was rather excited. đ¸ Stuff like this really intrigues me. I was in the car pulling into my driveway when it happened. I though the car had broke or something! D:
fate • 23 August 2011 at 5:16 PM
@Omeletteater5I would've been excited as well, since none of this ever occurs here in VT...only fires.Awh, that sucks! D:
lizardfeather • 23 August 2011 at 5:22 PM
I didn't feel it O.O It didn't hit where I am đ I hope everyone's ok though âšī¸

@omeletteater5Looks like we have alot in common. Even though it was so scary, I was laughing because it was so cool. The whole condo was shaking and my dad fell out of bed! Then my cat jumped on me. Bad thing was I was sitting at the top of the stairs and when it hit us I was so shocked I dropped my laptop! AMG It was devistating!!!! $650 rainbow-firework-printed laptop-BROKEN âšī¸ I cryed. IT WAS LIMITED EDITION!!!!! WHY?!?!?!?@rosey77What part of CA are you in?
omeletteater5 • 23 August 2011 at 7:34 PM

@omeletteater5Not too often, but one of them happened to be last year, one of the girls that had gone to my school burned it down, she's a complete...psycho. Me and my friend had to babysit her (Not the night she burned her OWN house down). And then there's the town theater that burned down...Few days after we had our Home of the Simpson Premiere. But, this town is crazy, no wonder we won the Home of the Simpson contest...gosh.o_o

Hit me supposedly, but I was at the pool! The first darned earthquake of my life and probably the only one I'll ever encounter I didn't feel. I think it's cause the pool I went to is new and they built anti-earthquake stuff or something or maybe it's cause of the way it's built or cause it's surrounded by gravel but RAWR. My brother and Mom felt it, my Mom thought she was hallucinating and got really freaked xDD
nkiay • 23 August 2011 at 8:13 PM
I was in the hammock so I didn't feel it. I was so sad!!! That's one of my goals in life, too feel an earthquake. âšī¸
randomkitty17 • 23 August 2011 at 8:43 PM
My parents felt it and we're in SC! O.O but it was just a lil tremor for us....I didn't even feel it! I was at school.

@omeletteater5I know âšī¸ And actually...speaking of fires, I've been trapped in a couple đ They're much scarier than this minor earthquake~
Meteoroid • 23 August 2011 at 11:44 PM
I felt the earthquake as well. It was also the first earthquake I have ever experienced. It was interesting to say the least, heh.Glad there wasn't any real damage or injury caused by it.

Dude, I'm in Toronto and I felt it. I was really surprised since these things like NEVER reach that far up but apparently this one was just huge. I hope everyone in Virginia is ok.

I was taking a nap, cause my ankle hurt. The bed started jumping. I did a ninja jump and ran out into the living room. I thought it was a tornado, not an earthquake, and was starting evacuation plans for my animals [XD]My mom somehow convinced me it was a //really// low helicopter. Cause we get a lot going over our house.
fate • 24 August 2011 at 1:36 PM
@omeletteater5It is. The night she burned her own house down, one of my best friends had been over and she lives by, at first we were freaking out because her sister (Same age, fraternal twins) was alone in the house, and we thought she might've burned the house down.We decided to walk down there but we were mistaken, instead it was the girls house that we babysat. She didn't admit she burned it down, but my other friend knows her to well and knows when she's lying or not telling the truth, my first guess had been she burned it down, few days later it had been true.It was scary when we found the house on fire because there was their car parked in the driveway, it was on fire as well, so we kept our distance incase the car blew up. ._.
