Hello.
It's been a long time since I've come on here.
I don't even really remember the last time I did come here.

But I thought I might go ahead and take a peek in and see what's going on.

I joined back in '09, when the site was new. I think November is the exact month I joined.

Not to sure what else to say other than I used to love it here, and thought I'd drop back in to see if I'd like to stay.
Going to have to learn about all the new stuff though. Haha.

@immortalraven
Your name seems familiar to me?

I don't know if I plan on trading right away, tbh.
People used to try and take advantage of trades back when I was still very active (2 years ago maybe?).
So I wouldn't doubt it being gone.

I'm sure I could use common sense to figure out what would be fair or not, (in my opinion?) since a lot of that is based on what one person finds far and not.

I can also always check the rarity numbers in the archive.
I'm sure my collection is worth a lot.

@shelby Welcome back. 😊 I also joined EggCave in '09, but I actually started playing in July 2014.

@shelby
I think we traded at some point and talked a bit or tried to trade or something like that. I think ya were friends with some other friends of mine but a lot left also >.> I think it was like 2013 maybe. It was too long ago for me to be sure.

Yeah, hasn't gone away. Some still try to do it to me but they really go after new or returning players usually >.>

Values are based mostly on popularity that I've noticed then based on rarity and then how old something is. And if something is frozen or not x3

And yeah it probably is. I remember you having some nice critters c:

@ida92
Thank you very much.

Awesome, I was on all day everyday when I first joined and then for like a year? I can't really remember.
I was really active until shortly after the forums were first released. After that I kind of left.
Popped in once a while ago, and thought I'd pop back in now.

Kind of missed it here.
😋

@immortalraven
Yeah I think when I left lots of others were leaving or had already left at that point. It was a really long time ago, I know. (And I Have a terrible memory so x-x)

I wouldn't doubt it, I wish people could be more mature, but then again I don't know the general age group of most players now? I'd assume 13-16.
I just turned 21 so I probably have a bit of an edge when it comes to general common sense and I've (technically) been here since almost the beginning so there's no scamming me lol.

That makes sense, that's a general rule for anything.
Popularity > Rarity. Just because something is rare doesn't mean it has a high want/market for it.

I can't even begin to image the possible price value on my collection, I'm sure it'd be nuts.

@shelby I don't really remember the old EggCave but I know that a lot has changed here. 😊 It would be nice if you stayed, it's always nice when old players return. 😊

@ida92
I remember it fairly well.
There wasn't a huge community but it was close, all we had were profiles and the site blog to use for communication.
It was really nice.

So far I'm considering staying, it'd give me something to do.
I have severe social anxiety and bipolar depression so I don't leave the house often and don't have a job.
I just draw and make adoptables to sell occasionally over on deviantART.

@wererage

@ida92
I haven't been "tested" (I know some things you can't really test for, they just kind of "guess") for anything else, it's hard for me to talk to my doctor, or anyone for that matter.

But I think I have come a long way, I still struggle sometimes.
I'm not sure how old you are, but if you ever want to talk to me, feel free. I'm nice and try to help when I can.

@ida92
Awesome!
Like I said earlier, I don't know the general age group of most people on here, but it'll be nice to finally talk to people and hopefully make some friends again in my age group.

For me, it's easier to talk to people online.
Like I have a really hard time verbally speaking, sometimes I want to talk and I want to say something but I physically can't?
That's something I should talk to my doctor about next time I go probably lol.
I just find it easier and enjoyable even to communicate with people online. In person nah.

So I know what you mean.

@shelby I have exactly the same problem. Sometimes it's even difficult for me to find words to describe my feelings or thoughts.

Same here.
Sometimes I can't even talk to my doctor and have my mom do it for me.
Maybe writing a list or writing things down would help.
That's helped me before.

@shelby I hed the exact same problem, so I wrote a list before my last wisit and it helped a lot. Now I'm writing a new one before my next visit.

I think I'm going to do that this time.
If we're going to keep talking on a somewhat personal topic like this, go ahead and shoot me a PM, so we can keep this on topic of welcomes/greetings.

Did you edit in your ping to me? I never got it o3o Just thought I'd check if you responded since ya responded to others and ya did

I have a pretty good memory but that far back no xD

And yeah that'
s around the main ago range now though a lot of younger ones too, I've noticed o3o I'm not as old as ya (turning 18 in April this year) but I have a good common sense too. I grew up around more adults than kids so and everyone thinks I'm so mature and such. People at my school annoy me -.- 14 through 18 years mostly are not very mature and just do dumb things. It's worse here >.>

Yup x3

@immortalraven
Yeah I did.
I didn't know if that had been something they fixed or not. Guess not xD

I have short term memory loss, I have a very hard time remembering things and remember what was what and blahblah.

Yeah I figure that would be the general age range of people. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I'd say I've had a general sense of common sense since I was 15-16ish so its not like impossible to be mature or older than you are in a sense (if that made sense lol)
I think things were kind of mess around here and that's why I left when I did. But as soon as a site gets some popularity, it'll kind of fall apart, to a degree.
Yeah I always preferred adults or more mature people as a kid, I was weird and still am LOL.
It's a little hard to talk about maturity and such based on age, I don't think age is a good gauge to judge maturity levels, but as a general tool it works.
Someone could be 25 and act 12 and vise-versa.
I feel like a matured and grew up somewhat faster than most people because of my depression and general experiences with people. Not necessarily bad but not good in general lol.

It's been awhile since I've been somewhat social and talking to people (online) but I typically have only talked to people around my age.
I remember kids at 13-15 when i was that age, so I don't know if I'd be able to talk to them at the level I am now.
GOTTA EXPERIENCE LIFE.

@immortalraven @shelby Yeah, people can be so immature and irritating. I just can't stand them sometimes. I also grew up surrounded by more adults than kids. And I had a very, very bad time at school, mostly because I was considered to be "different". That made me lead a rather solitary life.

@shelby I didn't quit school, but I'm thinkig of quitting my University ant the moment.. for the same reason... It's not that I'm stupid. I like learning and studying, but I don't like when other people get involved in my education. I just prefare to sit at home and read books in peace and not being forced to write stuff.. I hate being forced to write..

@shelby
Nope x3

That sucks :c I had that when I hit my head once for like a month. It sucked :c

Yeah it made sense x3
Yeah I've noticed that. So many new people and such. Makes the site slower also with the amount of people + an event >.>
Me too. People at school think I am also xD I think they are the weird ones though
Lol true xD
Hmm, maybe that's why I matured more too xD I just summed it up to being around more adults but I can see that me being depressed did it too >.>

I am on here a lot and easier for me to talk to people on here so I've been on for awhile with no breaks. I have real bad social anxiety >.> I broke down and cried at my boyfriend's brother's wedding cause there were so many people. I felt so bad about it o-o
Lol, yeah. It's hard to talk to younger kids on here with all the emoticons they use and not forming full sentences and sometimes REAL bad spelling though I'm not the best speller but I do fix em

@ida92
Yeah I can't imagine going back into school at all. I think I'd have a mental break. I typically study/learn on my own just fine.
I've self taught myself about snake/reptile genetics because I'm interested in being a reptile breeder. So it's not impossible to teach yourself things.

@immortalraven
My first doctor, said it was/is caused because of my depression, which makes sense.
My mom often tells me things and then will come back shortly and tell me again and I completely forgot lol.

I would assume the site would slow down and become more trafficed around events, like any site. Whenever something goes on, that's when people tend to come back. Lol.
Yeah you can mature pretty fast when you are smart, have depression, etc. I don't know my actual IQ, but I'm a little smarter than average? So I can tell when things are good/bad etc. I guess that could just be intuition/ a gut feeling too though..

I'm definitely liking talking to people again.
That must of been awful D: I'm so sorry. I can't handle being in large crowds of people.
Yeah sometimes I have a hard time understanding really bad grammar and spelling, but I try not to be rude and try to understand, because I know English is hard, even if it's your native language.

Ah, mmk x3
o-o That would scare me

Lol, yeah. I wonder how slow it'll be for the Valentine event >.>

Mmk. And cool c: I have all A's and have had in all of high school so far except getting a B in geometry Sophomore year >.< It wasn't the greatest time for me. Yeah

Yeah, this is about the only place I talk to people and kinda like it but can get hectic kinda. Not the right word but don't know what would fit >.>
Yeah it was xD And it's ok. Kinda funny looking back at it and everyone understood

Yeah I don't say anything about it even if it is terrible. I just ask what they meant if I really don't get what they said. And I don't say anything about people doing a billion hearts, smileys on my wall or PMs either. But sometimes there are so many o-o

@immortalraven
I suppose I'm just kind of used to the short term memory loss that I know how to deal with it and live with it lol.

hopefully not incredibly slow! xD

I probably would have made all A's if I tried, I got A's / B's and that was not trying.

Yeah this was the only place I socialized really when I was active.

I have a problem with excessive emotes, only because it's like spam? And I can't stand that. But I wouldn't be rude about it or anything. If it's a few, okay, but a lot, no thanks lol.
