Friday 13th Creatures

I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, I apologise if it has.

I was just thinking about Friday 13th (the date, not the movie XD) and I thought that it would be cool if we had a creature released on that day only in the cave. Since the day is associated with dark themes or halloween creatures, it would be a nice way to get these type of creatures out throughout the year rather than just october.

If the halloween-style creatures are seen as a bit out of place, then I think it would be nice to have this as a day for a user suggestion to be released, even though it only occurs once a year sometimes, it still gives more people a chance to contribute to the site with their own creature idea(s). Maybe a creature could be chosen on that friday based on the theme of that month to make it less of a random pick?

I think this is a good idea, though do you think it would be better to have one Friday the Thirteenth creature, or one for each individual Friday the Thirteenth? The former would allow more people to have one, while the later would provide more variety.

@lykhaos117 Well, we could go three ways about it really:
1) Release the same creature every Friday 13th every year.
2) Release one Friday 13th creature for each year to be released each time it comes up in that year.
3) Pick completely different ones for each individual Friday 13th.

I think the 3rd option is the best and makes the most sense so that Friday 13th is something to look forward to as a more special day rather than just a day for a recurring creature to come out again- making it kind of common (like the kujak). It also allows for the friday to be tailored to the theme of that month. I also think it would appeal to more users that way with the variety.

@frosted Haha! Yeah! I think every holiday should have a costumed yeep! Speaking of which, maybe every friday 13th should have a yeep in a different costume or something. They definitely are a creature to fit the day what with their causing the site to lag <.<

Another site I'm on has this actually, I think it's a nice idea. It's a bit like the Terron 😊

Edit: It's the same creature every Friday 13th, which I think is nice, we should have more semi-rares on here 😊

@dianaea So far the only semi-rare we have are the kujak, ami and kinump so I do agree the site would be better with more of them (even though I am personally not that fond of them).

If we combined having the same creature every time with the darkyeep (I'm not sure whether this was meant to be taken so seriously XD But I like it), it would be cool to have one of those released each time friday 13th came along.
