How many times did it take for you to realize that "temporary re-release" was a lie? I saw an egg I never saw before (I was on hiatus for a couple of years), so I got it and... it was really a Listrick. That happened one or two more times before my sister pointed out it was April Fool's Day.
Ah, I hope I'm not spoiling the trick to those who didn't try it yet.

Took me 3. ;-; But I didn't read the blog post prior so I thought it was a glitch... xD

At first I saw an egg I never knew existed. Looked it up on the archives and saw it was retired. I was confused but adopted it anyway. And... It was just a common. :/ Did it two more times because I saw more eggs I didn't have... 😉

I found out on my first try because it was a common I don't like (a jacko), so I left the egg and it turned into a common. Then I realised it was April Fools day.

Oh well, in 9 minutes no one should play any more pranks.

Edit: So the mid-day end is only in England? I thought it was worldwide...

@wyvern2222 When I read the message I knew it right away. Yet I couldn't resist when the eggs popped up with incredible creatures... 😋

But I really want the new monthlies... it's gonna be a gamble ☹️

I didn't get tricked, I knew it was April fools so I was on the lookout for tricks. However I've had to adopt a bunch of creatures, in case they were Monthlies. >_<

Andd well one thing is for sure, I've never seen this many abandoned creatures in the Adoption Center. Poor things..

This is not funny. If Eggcave is going to do April fools, they shouldn't do something like this. That is just cruel and unusual. Not to metion unfair to everyone who doesn't have those eggs.

It took me once, because when it changed I went to the bug forums and found the thread there. Admittedly, I was super excited and then really disappointed. April Fool's isn't a favorite of mine, though.

The adoption center swell is my main complaint. All those abandoned creatures the result of a silly April Fool's joke. :/

Yep, I noticed all of the abandoned eggs at the center. I've been going through and taking all of the Tasmas when I see them (I like those). Might as well make the best of it.

I noticed that the common eggs will turn back into their common form if you choose to leave them. The new monthlies will keep looking like a retired egg if you do the same. At least, that's been my experience so far.
Edit: Nope, never mind. It worked the first three times. Now I got a Whoon.

@Dspace1995 I agree, I think they should have done something less spiteful to the users and the poor abandoned creatures- like mixing up all the links to the shops, forums, etc. or making our featured creature change without us doing anything. Innocent things which would confuse people but not cause anger.

I don't think it's unfair, per se, but it is kind of "mean" considering how against re-releases everyone is and so therefore they'll never happen again. But I don't really think it's mean-mean, just "oh, you evil soul you! *shakes fist*" mean. 😋

Well it look me 5+ times then I slowly realize that it might just be April's fool 😋

It was kind of an evil/cruel joke but I must admit that I had fun with having hopes of getting some of the retired creatures and be like "Ahhhh at least I have seen it in the cave" which was really exciting at the same time. 😊

I almost had a heart attack with joy when I saw a Foo XD

@wyvern2222 have a guess what my sister just got a retired egg but it was not the same egg that it showed. So I belive that you can get the retired species but not as many as they say are available.

april 1st opens the day for cruel peeps to be cruel. it was always a heavily discussed topic during psych courses at university.

this morning teachers were buying mashed potatoes to serve to their classrooms as ice cream.
