Plot:
After SkyClan's territory was taken over by twolegs, the cats of SkyClan fled into a place far away from the forest where the four remaining clans live today. But not every cat fled from the forest. Some remained and, instead of joining their old clanmates, decided that they could rebuild a new clan... SnowClan. Their territory is located near a mountain, not far from the lake territories of the four clans. But without a StarClan watching over them, how would they lead SnowClan successfully?

Rules:
❤️ Normal RP rules apply
❤️ Use proper language. Plz don't tlk lik dis
❤️ Don't take over other people's characters unless you have permission.
❤️ Be realistic. No cats with purple fur or six legs. Cats with unusual eye colours are an exception.
❤️ If you are not active for at least 2 months, your cats will be killed off, or be put on hold.
❤️ No limit to making characters, just as long as you're active.
❤️ If you would like one of your characters to die, just say so.

I climbed up the mountain to the clan camp. I had just been down in the valley hunting, and I dropped the rabbit and the-- surprise surprise-- elk. Although the elk was old and skinny, it would supply 3 day's food to the clan.

I looked around the camp, then noticed Icepool adding an elk to the fresh kill pile. Padding up to her, I gave her a little smile.
"That should keep us fed for at least 3 sunrises," I purred, my tail swaying. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Moonpaw, my apprentice, try out her new battle move with Stormpaw.

{Moonpaw}
"Stormpaw, why don't you go over there and try using our new battle move?" I meowed gleefully, crouching down. Stormpaw refused to move.
"I want to practise hunting. Why don't you be the mouse and I'll-"
Stormpaw never finished his sentence as I pounced at him, ignoring his words.
"You didn't even give me a chance to fight back!" He complained, kicking sand onto my fur.
"And you think they won't do that to you?" I teased, my whiskers twitching.

Viperfang left the camp her bi-colored eyes scanning around her as she descended the mountain to the hunting grounds. Her path wound around and she soon caught sight of a very lovely bird. A very rare bird around here-a ptarmigan to be precise. They usually only showed in winter.
She dropped into a crouch as it pecked at the ground just a tree-length from where the silver she-cat crouched. She slunk forward in a crouch and when she was around two fox-lengths from the bird she launched herself at it, landing on it with a thoroughly loud thump sound.
Nipping the bird's neck she picked it up and stored it behind some rocks before she resumed hunting.
/Graystar needs something tasty like the ptarmigan-especially in his age.\ Viperfang thought, as she returned to camp bearing two squirrels in addition to the bird.
She dropped the squirrel on the pile but kept the bird and glanced around looking for the elderly leader.

{Wolfstripe}
I strolled wearily around our territory with the border patrol, ears pricked and eyes wide open. I knew that this part of the mountains wasn't safe for us, but I lead the patrol closer towards it. Nests made out of soft green pelts scattered the place, and a small stack of branches and sticks lay at the centre of the area. After leafbare has arrived, more and more twolegs come to our territory, building their green-pelted nests and putting white substances onto sticks and putting them in the fire at night. SnowClan has never seen this many twolegs in moons.
"We better stop here, the twolegs might awaken if we come any closer." I murmured, gesturing the patrol to halt. Most of the cats on patrol had worried looks on their faces, some shuffling their paws in uncertainty.
"Don't worry, they won't be long..."

{Stormpaw}
"That's still unfair! Can't we just go and have some freshkill with Fawnnight? I want to listen to one of her stories." I complained to Moonpaw, shaking the dust off my paws. She shook her head.
"Forget about that. You could go ahead, but I'm going to practice my battle moves." She purred as I padded towards the freshkill pile. On my way there, I noticed Viperfang looking around in confusion, a rare ptarmigan bird in her jaws.
*That must be for Graystar... He does need the best food to keep himself strong.* I thought, passing by. When I reached the freshkill pile, I picked out a small chinchilla for myself, then picked out a plump rabbit for Fawnnight, struggling to hold them at the same time. When I got the hang of it, being the clumsy cat I am, I tripped on a piece of moss, dropping both the rabbit and the chinchilla while falling flat on my face. Some warriors sitting around started laughing, some just ignored me, and some gave me a long look.
*Great! Now I look like I have bees in my brain.* I growled to myself, disappointed. As I got back onto my paws, I felt a shadow flash towards me.
"Are you alright?" A voice meowed, leaning down on me. I feel so embarrassed that instead of replying, I just sat awkwardly.

Viperfang turned as she heard the voice of Graystar behind her and dropped the prey by the leader as he called her over. She smiled at him before he acknowledged her presence finally.
"Viperfang, such great fortune to see you again. How long has it been since you've spoken to someone?" The tabby asked his green eyes shining.
Viperfang simply shrugged, before hesitantly replying. "I guess it's been a few moons. But not that many people speak to me anyways. But how have you been Graystar? I caught this for you earlier as well." She said pushing the ptarmigan towards their leader. "Eat please."

Graystar stared dully at Viperfang for a minute as the she-cat pushed the bird to him again. "Graystar, please you need to keep your strength up. Eat this prey please." The silver warrior pleaded her dual colored eyes pained and by her tone of voice she was worried as well.
This time Graystar acknowledged her words and nodded. "Thank you Viperfang, you've been a good warrior. I hope to see those skills reflected better as the Clan ages." He said before he dismissed the she-cat and began to eat the prey she brought him.

{Wolfstripe}
Wolfstripe waited there with the patrol for the twoleg-camp cats to arrive, anticipation clung to him like moss. As the sun scorched high above, a twoleg came out of it's nest, putting jet-black coverings over their bare paws and shouting out to the rest of the twolegs, waking them up. As soon as the twolegs came to gather around the pile full of sticks and branches, a head peeked from one of the green-pelted nests and a cat emerged, her ginger tabby fur turning golden under the sunlight.
"Greetings, SnowClan." She purred, the bell on her collar ringing as she halted. "What brings you here? Any trouble?"
Wolfstripe sat there in curiosity.
"Where is Dust?"
"He's right over there with his twoleg..."-the she-cat flicked her tail towards a twoleg's nest- "but he'll come out soon."
"Morning, do you know anything about the bear that used to live here?"
The she-cat shuddered, then shook her head.
"No... Please don't mention it!"

{Echopaw}
Echopaw dashed through the snow, her eyes wide open. She had a small hare clutched in her jaws and her paws were soaked with water. She caught a glimpse of a vulture flying overhead, but ignored it's ear-splitting screeched as she headed for camp. As Echopaw reached camp, she noticed Viperfang, her mentor, talking to Graystar by his den. Shocked, she tried to avoid them, hiding behind a holly bush.
*Is she worried that I'm missing? I'll get into big trouble if I get caught!*
Her paws numb and sore, Echopaw scampered off blindly into the medicine cat's den and found Tallcavern sitting by, mixing herbs.
"Tallcavern, do you know any herbs for curing sore paws?" She meowed, trying to hide her anxiousness.

Tallcavern nodded. "I do indeed why? What's happened?" she asked tilting her head to the side.

Viperfang wandered to the prey pile and grabbed a squirrel and took it to just outside the warriors den. She saw Echopaw heading to the medicine den and dimly realized she should be mad at her apprentice. But she knew how it was to be a young cat in the Clan. And as such let her apprentice be for the time being.

"I think I got frostbites, but I'm fine." Echopaw meowed, still looking around anxiously. Tall cavern examined Echopaw's paws while she cautiously looked around in alert.

{Moonpaw}
Moonpaw sat next to Fawnnight, enjoying a fat mountain squirrel she picked out from the fresh kill pile. Fawnnight ate a small bird, eating it steadily as she told yet another tale about Owlberry.
"And before I knew it, she already pounced on the vole and killed it." Fawnnight giggled, her tail twitching.
"I wonder what a vole looks like... They don't live around here, do they?" Moonpaw meowed, her mind wandering.
"They roam the canopies, not the mountains. But we have enough prey to go around for our clan."
"It feels great not having any rival clans constantly on our toes."
"Yes, it does."

Tallcavern examined Echopaw's foot before straightening up. "It normal if not unnaturally cold. I'll give you a little bit of horsetail-mint poultice and we'll check it tomorrow. If it was frost-bite then we'll find out when I re-check it, but for now you should be fine." She said as she chewed the herbs into a pulp and smeared it on the apprentices paw securing the wrap with some cobwebs.
"Try not to run too much, walking and stalking are fine though. Come back at dawn alright?" The medicine cat mewed.

"Thank you, Tallcavern!" Echopaw purred as she left the den, trying her best not to trip over. She headed for the apprentices den and flopped down onto her nest, exhausted.
*I'm supposed to be doing work...* she panted to herself.
*I'll go check on Viperfang if she needs anything. Hopefully she's not mad at me.*
With that, Echopaw rose to her paws and strolled towards the warrior's den, poking her head in to see if anyone was there. Bearshade was sitting in his nest, disturbed by Echopaw's paw steps.

"What do you want?" He growled, lashing his tail. Echopaw padded in, noticing he was not very happy with her.
"Have you seen Viperfang?" She meowed.
"Does it look like I know?" He hissed, standing up. "Now that you just rudely interrupted my sleep, I'll go hunt for something."
Bearshade left the den and as he walked out, Echopaw followed in hopes that she could spot Viperfang on her way. To her relief, she spotted Viperfang by the freshkill pile, biting into the juicy hare she brought up earlier. Shyly, Echopaw made her way towards her mentor, her paws still feeling sore.
*I hope she doesn't scold me...*

Viperfang smiled at Echopaw as the apprentice approached her. "Hello Echopaw." the silver cat meowed. "Share the hare with me." she said offering it to her apprentice. "I know I forgot about training today but I had to get something different for Graystar today and it appears you had the same idea as me.
"But what happened to your paw? I saw you head to the medicine den and now you've got it wrapped up. Issue with the stone and rocks?"

"Yes, I guess so. I'll have to go back to Tallcavern's den to get it checked by dawn." Echopaw meowed as she joined her mentor. She bit into the hare and felt her hunger ease as she gulps it down.
"I should be more careful when I'm hunting..." She commented as she licked her lips. Her tail twitched in amusement as she watched a butterfly fly down and landed on her paws. When it took off, she played around with it, batting her paws up in the air.

"I wonder if prey know what to expect when they're being hunted..." Echopaw wondered aloud as she leaped up to catch the butterfly in her paws. She took another leap, then accidentally slipped and fell awkwardly on the floor. The butterfly fluttered onto her muzzle and she shook it off, giggling.

Viperwhip
Viperwhip laid on his side as a butterfly flew into his fur. He shook the butterfly off and decided to look for any new things going on. Something that maybe snowclan wouldn't notice but he. Viperwhip had yawned when he look at the clear dull forest. "How can I hunt if there is nothing to hunt" He asked himself, of course getting no response

Wolfstripe returned to camp with his patrol, padding towards Graystar's den to discuss about his conversation with Morning and Dust. When Wolfstripe approached his leader's den, he noticed the lichen hanging on the top of the den turning a little green.
*Greenleaf is coming..* he thought, relieved.
Wolfstripe stopped by the entrance of the den, then sat with his tail curled neatly over his paws.
"Graystar?"
The old leader emerged from his den, then beckoned Wolfstripe to come inside.
"We have some bad news from the twoleg camp cats. The bear... It made a home in the Mooncavern."

Graystar gestured for Wolfstripe to enter his den and heard what the deputy had to say.
"That's not good, how much information other than that do we have? Or is just that's where it is living?"


Viperfang shrugged. "Probably not. Most don't get away, and those that do probably sound crazy when passing it on to others of their species." The silver cat explained, her eyes taking on a dull glaze as she fell into a thought process.

"They say the bears have built their territory within our borders. The bears have already wiped out the twoleg camp on the other side of the mountain." He explained.

Graystar shook his head. "That is not good, not good at all. We need to see how many bears are in that spot and how far they've claimed as theirs. They may not be a threat just yet."

Duskshadow was sitting on a rock staring towards the sky, just listening to the wind. Eventually she got up and scented the air. The scent of mouse quickly reached her and slowly she scanned the area and followed the scent quietly. She soon spotted the mouse hiding in the sparse bushes of the mountain. Stalking her way within two tail lengths, she sprang forward landing squarely on the mouse and giving a killing bite to the neck.

Tallcavern left the medicine den needing to stock up on herbs again. She trailed down the mountain until she reached a small plateau where she got her herbs.
She set to picking some of the plentiful ones, and checked on the one's struggling.

Wolfstripe dipped his head to Graystar.
"I will check on Morning and Dust tomorrow and see if any of the other twoleg camp cats know anything." He meowed as he padded out of the den.

{Echopaw}
"Where does prey go after we consume them? Do they go to StarClan?" Echopaw asked her mentor as she settled down beside her. Echopaw, though sometimes a quiet and shy apprentice, is an inquisitive young cat. She wonders about everything in life, from where do prey come from, to how the clans were created. Each and every one of her questions get other cats thinking about the world around them, and sometimes no one knows the answer.

"If they do go to StarClan, will they be hunted again by StarClan cats?" She wondered. "What about the place of no stars? Surely they get prey too, right?"

/Too old for these issues.\ He thought, but smiled. /How much longer can this go on?\

"Prey does not go to StarClan, but instead to their own version of it. Where they are not hunted and can live in peace. The cats in the Place of no Stars receive no prey. Those cats had done many wrongs and in death do not deserve the prosperity of StarClan or living cats." Viperfang explained to her apprentice.

I yawned as I woke from an afternoon nap. I was hungry. But first, I must get food for the kits and elders. I walked over to were the other warriors are. "Do you want to lead a hunting patrol?" I asked.

Bearshade looked proudly down at his apprentice.
"We're going to learn how to hunt elk and mountain goats, whichever you prefer." He purred, as he lead Dawnpaw towards a small bush. Dawnpaw looked at her mentor curiously.
"What can you smell? " Bearshade whispered as Dawnpaw sniffed the air. At first, she could only scent their presence, but then scented a fresh scent of a mountain goat trotting towards them.
"A mountain goat." She replied.
"Good. Now, I want you to get down and do the hunter's crouch. This time, don't stalk him, he's no rabbit. He'll scent you. Wait until he is close to this bush, then strike."

{Echopaw}
"Hmm... So cats in the place of no stars starve?" Echopaw looked up at her mentor.
"That sounds like they're going to die again..."

{Wolfstripe}
Wolfstripe raised his head and pricked his ears at Feathertail.
"Sure, Feathertail. Take Duskshadow, Fawnnight, Viperfang and Echopaw. You could go to the tip of the mountain and see if you could find any prey there." He meowed gratefully at the young warrior. Hearing their names being called, the other warriors arrived by Feathertail's side.
*I wish our clan could be like this forever, but with that bear prowling into our territory, our clan could be in great danger.*

I nodded at Wolfstripe and looked at the Warriors next to me. I never lead a patrol before, but, I said, "Okay. So first of all, Fawnnight, Echopaw, and I will take the left of the tip, and the others, the right. Come meet us at the where we crossed paths.
The Warriors nodded in agreement. "Now, we better be going," I said, bounding toward the mountain.
{Dawnpaw}
Dawnpaw steadied into a crouch and waited. At one moment, the goat's smell was strong. She pounced on the bush, and dug into the goat's thick hide. She then gived it a killing bite, and then silently thanked starclan for it. She layed it at Bearshade's paws.
{Mistystream}
I was making traveling bundles. I didn't know why, I guess I was just bored. At one point I couldn't find a certain herb, and at countless minutes I found it. "Thank starclan." I muttered.
I stared outside for any signs of omens, or prophecies. Sadly, no. I wondered if I was ever a medicine cat after all.

Fawnnight rose to her paws and looked down at her apprentice.
"I'm sorry, Moonpaw. I have to go on patrol. I'll continue the story when I get back." She apologised, licking Moonpaw's ears clean.
"It's alright. Besides, I promised Stormpaw to help him master his climbing skills."
Fawnnight dipped her head and headed for Feathertail's patrol.
"Where is Echopaw?" Wolftail asked from a distance.
Fawnnight looked around and spotted Echopaw heading for Tallcavern and Mistystream's den.
"She's getting her paw checked out." She replied, licking her paw and running it over her left ear.

{Echopaw}
Echopaw made her way into the medicine cat's den, limping less as she realised the pain is slowly disappearing. From the corner of her eye, she could see her patrol already gathering around Feathertail. With that, she padded towards the den quickly, then halted at the entrance. She looked towards her left and caught sight of Mistystream.
"Mistystream, is Tallcavern in here?" She called.

{Bearshade}
Bearshade glanced down at the goat, satisfied.
"Great job, Dawnpaw. Make sure that tail is steady." He suggested.
He assisted Dawnpaw at carrying her prey back to camp, but a faint roar stopped them in their tracks. Suspicious, Bearshade scented the air, alert for any kind of danger. The clearing seemed peaceful for a moment, until a flash of white-grey fur attacked Bearshade from behind. He slammed to the ground and faced the enemy as he rose. Before him, was not what his expected, but still deadly if fought alone. Wolves.
The terrifying beasts slowly crept up to him and with that he turned to Dawnpaw with worried eyes.
"Dawnpaw, get back to camp and get help. Don't worry about you're fresh-kill. I'll take care of it." He growled. The apprentice bounded away as fast as her paws can get her. A small wolf trailed behind her, but Bearshade was fast enough to slam him onto the ground. He tackled the wolf, then turned to the rest of the pack, who were charging towards him.

"A pack of wolves is attacking Bearshade!" I yelled as I headed toward camp. "We need help!" I said as everyone gasped in horror.
{Mistystream}
"She left to find herbs." Mistystream said to Echopaw, who was looking for Tall Cavern. "Why?" I asked.
{Feathertail}
I finally reached the tip of the mountain. I sniffed the air. A far smell to the right, of elk. I went into the brush, and waited. And waited. And then I heard the sound of hooves.
I lunged at whatever it was, and attacked it. I soon realized it was the elk I was smelling. I did a final move, and it was fresh-kill.

*I was reading the books until I realized that there was a cat named Feathertail that was a she-cat.....
