River was still gasping, her lungs felt like they were on fire.
Thalia and Dustin climbed on Drago's back, waiting for the others to do so.
"RIVER!" Cascade shouted, rushing to her side, followed by Shane.
"Are you all right?" he asked as she coughed, finally getting a bit of air.
"We must bring her to the surface immediately!"

"Got it" I took what little air I could at rocketed towards the ceiling. Breaking through, I used my head to create a path. In a minute, we reacher the surface.

"Blaze! We forgot Blaze!" shouted Cascade, scared Blaze would be dead by now. Shane hugged her, trying to calm her down. Cascade wrapped her arms around him, weeping quietly.

I dived down the hole and went into the smoke filled room. Opening my mouth, I inhaled the smoke and cleared the air.

River shot a deadly glare at Drago and dived, catching Blaze in her claws.
"Don't struggle!" she warned.
"Let it out!" she roared back at Drago and flew back up.

"Got it!" I yelled, making sure she was out. I breathed the smoke quickly into the room, and once again, set the place on fire. As quickly as possible, I dived up the hole to the surface.

With a screech, Hirla dived at Amythyst with her spear. The Dark Queen twisted away to avoid most of the blow, but a large slash appears on her leg. Satisfied with the damage, Hirla sped off. A phoenix swooped at her face and tried to claw her eyes, but she slammed her spear into his wing and heard the crack of bone as he fell away screaming in pain and fury.

On the way up, she felt herself morph into griffin form. She swooped on Ocean and carried her friend to the surface just before the flames consumed the cave.

"Ocean, are you okay?" asked Hirla once they were safe.

Suddenly, Amethyst was caught by the flames. As she screamed, Blizzard set on fire, but the fire was miles away. "PUT IT OUT!" They screamed in unison. "HELP ME!" Suddenly their voices sounded distorted, as if they had melted into one. They both collapsed. The spell had kicked in, and their movements, voices, thoughts and souls merged into one.

River flew down the hole, and came back up with Blizzard in one hand, and Amethyst in the other hand.
"If I let her down there, Blizzard would have died...I didn't have much of a choice." she explained.

The slash that was on Amethyst's leg appeared on Blizzard's. The both cried out in pain, their voices still together, both still on fire and both choking. "HELP!" They both yelled. "Help!" Snow yelled from below. "Snow!" Ocean and Roxy yelled. Roxy flew back down and caught Snow in her claws.

Cascade regretfully walked out of Shane embrace and shifted. She healed both of them, putting out the fire in the process.

"Please, never," as they spoke, their voices returned to normal and only Blizzard spoke the last half, "Let me get that close to death again." Though Blizzard knew what was going to happen, he was scared. "W-where's Snow?"


"YOU!" Amethyst yelled at Blaze. Suddenly they sky was filled with phoenixes. "DID YOU REALLY THINK YOU'D GET AWAY THAT EASILY?!?!?" "No..." Blaze said, truthfully. Great. Back where she started.
