@iceiceiceA Staga is from the Stegasaurus.Bliz is a caribou, but the name might be from Blitzen, the reindeer, or Blizzard. The Florn design is based off of a white-tailed deer. I don't know where the name came from.Roo is from Rudolph, the reindeer from the western Christmas mythos.A Gobbler is named for the sound a turkey makes.A Chimera is a Greek monster with a Lion body, a serpent tail, and the face of a woman. The Gorri is based off of a Jackalope, not sure where the name came from. The Jerob is based off of a Jerboa, which is a type of desert rat.Tidnab is Bandit written backwards.A Fife is based off of a mountain goat, and the name comes from Fifteen, since it came out to celebrate 2015.The Sharken is based off of a porcupine, probably mixing "sharpen" with "porcupine".Deton comes from "detonate."Ott comes from "otter."Do you really want to do all of the species? This will take a while.

Oooh, let me try and share some knowledge!Ara: Ara is a genus of macaws (being a bird lady coming in handy!)Bessy: or Bessie, common nickname for a cow.Blu: based on the Blue Jay, a common North American songbird.Cayni: I imagine this is some derivative of canine?Chamillion: play on words (Chameleon + million = Chamillion)Danaus: named for the monarch butterfly's genus, Danaus.Diablos: Diablo, often a name for the devil. Diablo is a snake, ubiquitously associated with Satan and evil.Flor: Spanish/Portuguese for "flower"Gadfly: Well, a gadfly is a kind of horsefly, but he's a bit cute for that? But a gadfly is also an annoying person.Gingerlion: Gingerbread + lion = GingerlionGobbler: Common nickname for a turkey.Jacko: Short for Jack-o-lanternLaniwon: based on the cardinal, a common North American songbird.Lepilex: Well, rabbits are part of the family Leporidae, so I imagine the name is derived from that somehow.Luciales: Not really for certain, bur "Luci-" makes me think of light or "lucid" (to be clear).Luckuar: Jaguar + luck/lucky = LuckuarKirin: Or "qilin," modern Japanese word for giraffe.Keekee: the Kiwi bird, signature of New Zealand.Macaw: named for the type of parrot with the same name.Magmish: Magma + fish = MagmishMoue: Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but "Moue" is French for "grimace" or "little pout."Odon: dragonflies are part of the taxonomical order Odonata. Pahoehoe: can't take credit for this one, wish I could remember who brought this up, but Pahoehoe is supposed to refer lava in Hawaiian.Pareteorsite: Parasite + Meteorite = Pareteorsite?Peeyu: As in "PU! What's that smell?" Often used to express an unpleasant odor, such as that of the skunk.Rivet: From dictionary.com: "a metal pin for passing through holes in two or more plates or pieces to hold them together, usually made with a head at one end, the other end being hammered into a head after insertion." Pretty much describes our little avian robot, doesn't it? xDSeiren: Most likely a reference to the siren, a mythological creature known to lure in sailors with their beautiful music.Serpede: Centipede + Serpent = SerpedeTenalp: Planet spelled backwards.Tuswine: Tusk + swine (pig) = Tuswine? (shot in the dark here)Valenbun: Valentine + bunny ?Vulpselle: Probably looking into this one a bit much, "Selle" is an Italian bicycle saddle brand, and the Vulpselle appears to have a kind of saddle on its back. Plus, Vulpes is a genus of fox. So Vulpes + Selle = saddle fox? xDWiset: supposed to reflect the owl's reputation for being a wise animal (even though they are quite derpy!)
