Just feed creatures c: most users don't mind at all if you feed their coves and feeding your own will help keep them alive, though it's a good idea to sign them up at Tim's Food Shop if their happiness gets too low.

Along with what lyrics-and-melodies said, you can correctly guess a number on the Wall of Sandrodons, sell creatures and items, answer Site Trivia, bet on the winning Alkub in the Alkub Race, and win contests with EC prizes. You can also sell services such as immortalizing and drawing.
