So, i have a cousin who i let get online on my account every now and again to look at stuff (they don't talk to anyone or do any trades, they just really like looking at the forums and critters), and was wondering if anyone else on this site has autism/knows someone with autism, since my aunt was thinking of letting them make a account of their own since they really enjoy looking around. i just want to see if people on this site would be open to people on the spectrum since they act really odd sometimes and got bullied on another site. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think. 😊

@madscienced I have a friend who's autistic, and honestly people who don't want them on here should be removed from the site because it's discrimination, everyone has an equal right to be on this site. I will welcome them with open arms 😃 ❤️

@hayleysmith Great! they really like looking at the pets here, but i was a little worried because they can act really, really odd sometimes. They've been bullied a couple times on other pets sites (one time by a site mod! can you imagine that? i was horrified!) and i don't want to risk it happening here, so we wanted to get some opinions first.

@madscienced I think it would be great here and honestly you might get a few (hate to say it) idiots who might say something, but I know the mods here wouldn't, they'd put a stop to it, and so would I, the college I go to runs special courses for people with additional needs who come from a school nearby thats fully equipped for special needs, and I'm friends with a couple of them. If they join tell them to send me a friend request 😃

@madscienced I peronally don't have autism, but I do have quite a lot of mental problems and disorders, I also suffer from depression. I would never bully anyone. I have a cousin with cerebral palsy. I hope your cousin will find this site welcoming. 😊

@hayleysmith I will! 😊 I really hope they make friends here, they don't have very many. they are really very sweet when you get to know them. If you really want to get along with them, you could try bringing up fabric. They really like talking about textures too. 😊@ida92 Me too. i just want to make sure that a majority of people are okay with that.(if anyone wants to know why i'm not revealing gender, it's because they prefer to do it themselves and would be mad if everyone already knew, lol.)

@hayleysmith they like the textures and mixing different colors/fabrics together. I've got an awesome quilt they made me once for Christmas, it's super cool. 😊 It has like, ten different kinds of fabrics and a whole lot of colors.

@madscienced I love sewing! Especially from wool and linen. 😊 Silk is a very stubborn material though and it's not easy to handle. 😃 If your cousin likes fabrics too, I could talk with them. ^^

@ida92 @hayleysmith do you think it rude of me if i asked if you both could maybe keep an eye out for them when I'm not here? we just need to be really, really sure that they aren't going to be messed with here, because sometimes they might not even notice it, and gets super upset when they do notice it after awhile. i'm also probably going to get/gift them some rare critters and don't want them to be harassed/cheated (they really love the roo i have) by users who want them. also, we'de be getting on from the same ip a lot of the time really close together (we hang out a lot) so do i need to tell the mods beforehand?

@madscienced It absolutely isn't rude! I can keep an eye on your cousin and do my best to make them feel comfortable. 😊 They can talk to me whenever they want. I can give them some critter from my side if they want any. 😊

@madscienced They would fit right in. Eggcave is overall a very friendly community, save for a few people that like to keep to their own small circle of friends. But that isn't a big issue, users can be friends with whoever they want to be with. 😊
