I think people should be able to have when they log out their creatures happiness stays the same so if someone went away for a looooooong vaca and could not accsess the egg cave would not have all their creatures die. Let me know what u think!

@orcablue I have to politely disagree, only because as an adoptables website, adopting, striving towards "immortality", and having to remember to feed your creatures is part of the point of the site. I know it's a pain when creatures die, but I think it makes you appreciate them more.Just my two cents, however ❤️

@orcablue Then what would the point of feeding be ??? 😋
iceiceice • 27 December 2015 at 2:33 PM
@orcablue I think the having to feed the creature is an incentive to stay.Lol.Not that I feed my creatures.....Oops.
barbyka • 27 December 2015 at 3:27 PM
@orcablueThere's not much to do here. If you're not on the forum or chatting with friedns all you have is feeding. And gaining EC to get better creatures. So it's kind of the point that when you're on you feed, and when you know you'll be away you put them in Tim's, or find someone to keep them alive.

@orcablue although it would be very convenient i will also have to disagree because that would make it too 'easy' to play on egg cave, if you know what i mean! putting effort into feeding / immortalizing your creatures is sort of the point n__n it would also cause resurrection stones to be pretty pointless.
orcablue • 30 December 2015 at 12:04 AM
well,, i mean like if there was a to have your creatures fed only when you know you will be away for a long time, and when you go back on the egg cave it stops feeding your pets while you were on vaca. That way you don't have to immortalize all your creatures just to go on vacationPLEASE READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@orcablueLike (@)barbyka pointed out above, you can always put your pets in Tim's for as long as you're away. The cost for doing so is nominal (4,500 EC to keep one pet at 100 happiness for 60 days or roughly two months). Feeding is a huge part of Egg Cave, since it's one of the few things we can do around here. The happiness & feeding system that we have right now makes you appreciate your creatures a lot more, since it's almost as though they're "alive", in a way. You can't pause hunger in real life now, can you? It gives you an incentive to visit your Cove as much as possible, so I think it's fine as is. 😊

I have to disagree; the hassle and annoyance of being required to keep your creatures "happy" OR ELSE most certainly DOES NOT make you appreciate anything more - except, perhaps, the fact that you have a serious problem with pixel collecting sites. XD That said, I do understand that feeding is a big part of this site, so I don't ever see this suggestion being realized within the game. I do have a suggestion for a compromise, though. How about, instead of this happening every time you log out, adding a Vacation option to the Account panel? Hold on, before you start shaking your head, allow me to explain what I'm proposing here. Firstly, you'd have to go through a couple of very bright and flashy (colorful, bold, whatever) warning messages because it cannot be canceled once started - you just have to wait it out. Secondly, once you set your account to Vacation mode, you can't do anything with it - no adopting, no trading, no Asteroid attempts (maybe not even collecting bank interest?) - until the time runs out. Nothing dies, but nothing grows. It's like your entire account would be frozen in time. And thirdly, making it effective for a set amount of time, like a month. So in other words, your account would be frozen for a month and nothing would die, but you wouldn't be able to get new creatures or actually do anything on the site until your vacation time is up. It's a huge trade-off, and the cons would be a serious discouragement from abuse. Of course, I'm not sure it would be useful to anyone at that point EXCEPT people that are going to be without internet access for an extended period of time, but it's a thought.

@mishababy while i have to disagree with your statement about appreciation, i really like your other idea. with a vacation mode that freezes your account completely, i can't see how people could cheat with it. also helpful to people who aren't going on vacation but maybe have school and won't be able to be active?
mishababy • 7 January 2016 at 12:51 AM
@snowball888111 ~ Exactly. That way, if you *know* you aren't going to be able to be here, you still have an option to save your poor creatures, but it really cuts down on the opportunity to abuse it. Do you think a month is too long? I've been thinking about it and maybe it should available in increments of a week or so? Thoughts, suggestions?
lenamilove • 8 January 2016 at 9:32 PM
@mishababy I think a week could be nice, as very few people have the time to make month long trips. I feel it could have a week minimum, where you can decide how many additional weeks to add to your liking. However, such a thing might take down creature values since more of them could be available in the market in the future. I also could see people placing mortals in a side and locking it in "vacation mode" simply to keep them alive, since many people barely use their sides. I think it really still has the option to be abused.
mishababy • 8 January 2016 at 9:40 PM
That's a very good point. I hadn't even thought about the whole side account issue. I still don't see why this site hasn't figured out a way to flag those accounts so that they can't be abused. You would think that would have been a priority at some point, with how long this site's been around. Oh well. It was a thought, I guess.
timelordsnowy • 11 January 2016 at 3:19 AM
I like this idea because i completely forgot this place existed and now my creatures are dying and i cant be bothered to get on everyday to feed them when what i did the day before just is gone because their happiness goes right back down ir lower. Its no longer fund its just a chore.Plus this site runs slow on my comp and it takes me forever to feed my creatures.
femme • 19 January 2016 at 9:16 PM
I have no support for this idea. There is already Tim's Food Shoppe, where he will keep your creatures at 100 happiness for a maximum of 60 days. Also, I feel it would be too easy a system to abuse, since players could simply log out whenever they're done for the day, and they wouldn't need to feed their creatures then because they wouldn't be losing any happiness.
