Just how long does it take for an Egg to die?

Sorry for the strange question guys!! I was just curious however, as to how long it would take for an egg to die.

Lets say i adopted an egg on Jan 1st, 2016. I put the egg on a side account, and don't feed/view/click on it ever. I just leave it alone. How long would it take for it to die? A month? Two?

Once it hits 0 happiness, if I recall correctly, theres a /chance/ every day that it could die. I don't think its "x amount of days and an egg dies".

@iridescence ^^^ That's true. Sometimes eggs can survive on 0 happiness for months without dying, while others could die in only two weeks.
